In February we set off to get in a second winter adventure. In equally freezing temperatures and finding adventure right from the city, we set off on a 100km gravel adventure out to the coast and out to Southend along with Ben Biddell.

Due to crashing on some ice a week earlier my sore hand ended cutting our journey short of the 100mile original plan, but still clocked over the 100km mark, the 100 club lived on, haha

I know I have not posted a film for a while, so please enjoy these few short edits why I work upon some bigger adventure stories for you all.

    Happy Pedalling

[Music] there he is he missed breakfast bunny boy good morning I’m Barry got in and he’s stuffing his face his name is actually Ben it’s not quite 5 in the morning left at qu past 5: in the morning but some’s actually early for once I’m like 10 minutes later can’t help that you know I know too too fast too fast I think you joined a little series now which we’re not sure if there are series but it’s called The 100 Mile Club which is basically just see if we can ride 100 miles round in any direction out of London which is pretty cool um so today’s random 100 is North for the temps and I’m going to head out and basically get to South End and wiggle around we’re trying to get to Colchester um but we think there’s a the at buron um which is not going to be on so we’re going to actually have to maybe do a little wiggle back us to Colchester or chelsford even um and basically just going to go for a ride see what it’s like it’s not as cold as the other time but um it should be a good pedal man positively summer it almost is but it’s the 2nd of February and it’s still a bit chilly but we’re all wars and wearing a lot of clothing right let crack up CLE Super Highway North of the 10 all the way through Central London [Music] beautiful things are a bit faster on the North side compared to the South Side ter a world energy crisis every big building has it lights off including bucket and Panet how the world has changed [Music] [Applause] it’s very different to last time it’s rather hot sweating and also going very fast we’ve already passed the uh Millennium D pass Canary wall this is London City Airport which is not very exciting for you but the sun is starting to rise yeah and so making really good time and effort right let’s keep sprinting and hope we get to someone nice by the temps haven’t really seen the TS yet much so nice to get on it in a minute first proper view of the TS first puncher of the trip and the sun is [Music] rising it’s amazing how different a side of a river can actually feel this side is completely different to the South Side um it’s especially where the cycle lanes and we’ve been hacking along supposed to wiggling through along the temps but absolutely epic Absolut stunning very very very glad I woke up this [Music] morning [Music] where are we bunny boy in the best place ever heading for the M25 are we in London cool land think we’re lucking out with this weather less icy but nice nice and fresh stunning [Music] Paradise things you ROM me see and learn on these Journeys so we believe this is a lot of containers we is going on this ship with this ship also kind of been split in half so to fit the it pretty cool on The Bridge start for crossing M M25 that marks are out of London very cool weird place to [Music] be have to mark that moment again crossing under the M25 which means we’re out of lond well getting out of London here we go bit unceremonious but yeah that’s it we made it we’re out it’s really cool um doing both sides of it actually over there last time seem quite far away you can’t get there but what a glor morning [Music] [Music] awesome breakfast time so coming along the temp has been really interesting because there’s all these fors which we saw on the other side of the river now on the north side of the river this is Tilbury Fort have just read a sign built in 1854 so there more Napoleonic times but really cool and from outside you really can’t see them but inside massive guns sinks down ahead of a lot the dug in but very cool and I have to say Ben’s a bit overwhelmed by this tropical weather we’re having in beginning of February it’s very nice it’s making this ride [Music] idilic we’ve made superb progress we’re about 55 something miles now we come out to Hadley Country Park famous for its track for the mountain biking Olympic oics well not the mountain bike olypics the Olympics mountain bike Engles down in 2012 um never actually been there I live I used to live rather close I’ve never been there so quite excited to see that what a glorious day by the river by the Sea it feels like the sea but it’s actually the river um can’t deny I’m rather tired and my hands kind of hurt so yes bit in pain today so whatever we push through don’t know but having a wonderful day doing it so [Music] far [Music] happy man got his food the world’s longest pit in south end it keeps going it’s a mild long but now you have to pay for it so we’re not going up it so we’ve made it to South End woo and it’s got a bit windy now but luckily the wind’s been with us all the way along bit Nifty um we are going to end it here because we’ve done 100 km so it’s the 100 Club it could be 100 100 m it could be 100 km 100 miles it’s getting vager as we go on it’s getting slightly shorter but I did have a bit of a tumble off my bike a few week a week ago and my fum and hand really hurts and I’ve been kind of holding on for dear life and um it’s a bit too painful but we’ve done 100k well over well over 100 by 1:00 by 1:00 we actually did it by 12 by 12 we did it chilled past hour very chilled but wow what a what a great start so we’ve got our London super quick and nice um and we’re by the Sea which is pretty awesome sou is as tacky as I remember very nice though but we’re going to kind of ride back to there and see Classic Fish and Chips which I think going to be regular on these occasion knows we might go bit find I’m drink salmon fine dining blood so um thank you for watching these are super random rubbish videos but hopefully they offset my epic huge Productions so you get some content and I hope you find them entertaining whenever they come out whenever they come out so this is February’s Ride second of February B me yeah lovely that might be out by the end of February this one anyway thanks for watching until our next adventures together ja for now [Music]

    1. You see that metallic deep sea diver sculpture? That is made of scrap found in and on the banks of the Thames. I know it well. I ride down that part of the river quite a bit in the winter. Nice to see you on the byways I know.

    2. Another great video Barry – I love the idea of picking a distance and following a line just to see what you discover. This time you were in my neck of the woods so it was great to see it all shot so beautifully. Can't wait to see where you head to next.
