Episode 9 from my bike tour of cycling in Greece. The route I took around the Peloponnese in Greece was loosely based on the legend of Hercules and the 12 Labours.
Leaving Ancient Olympia, the Hercules Bike tour continued as I cycled down the west coast of the Peloponnese of Greece and towards Pylos.
Along the way, I found a fairytale castle and the Eiffel Tower – As you do!
Trying one campsite that was closed, I eventually made it to Erodios campsite near Gialova, just a few kilometres away from Pylos.
It was a reasonably long cycling day with over 100 kms in the bag, but at least I got to stay at a campsite by the sea!

I have to chuckle a bit when you talk about 100km being a long day. If you do the math thats only 62 miles. As for the scenery, I live in Wyoming, and when I pedal 50+ miles I end up going to another town, and boy is it a boring ride. Keep riding and stay safe.
Great choise going to Messinia. Check out Ancient Messini if you can, it's magical place and ride. Then go to Polylimnio and get a swim.
Cracking video Dave. That castle was mental! Super place to have your brekkie!
Maps are great and don't need to be charged haha.
