    Extrêmement courte (42,5 km), la 6e étape du Tour de Suisse a souri à Joao Almeida ! Auteur d’un très gros dernier kilomètre, le Portugais s’est imposé au sommet de Blatten devant son coéquipier Adam Yates, qu’il a repris puis distancé dans le final. Évoluant à nouveau à un niveau supérieur, l’équipe UAE Team Emirates s’est donc offert un deuxième doublé en deux jours ! Ayant repris 8 secondes au maillot jaune (4″ sur la ligne et 4″ de bonification), le Portugais se rapproche du Britannique au classement général, les deux hommes étant séparés par 27 secondes avant le dernier week-end.

    made Portugal here come the leader Adam yay Jo congratulations um a bit funny though because you are known to be a kind of a diesel engine and you won the shortest stage that I think anybody has done here yeah I think was the shortest stage I ever did it was quite uh explosive let’s say yeah luckily I felt good the team was pretty good so we did have the plan and we can be happy of course that was the plan for you to go like that after the attack ofam uh no the plan was to pull with with the guys first starting the climb we anticipated and Enos would try to to put the base we went we wanted the pacee a bit higher so we put the guys pulling Christian and Del Toro and then Adam wanted to go by a little bit maybe he went a bit too far then I had just be a will and eventually I felt good I did a bridge to Adam we were both pulling and yeah in the end I I crossed the line first previously in the previous years sometimes we saw you at the end of the bench on your own pace on mons do you think something changed the last month the last year with that I mean I still go my own pace maybe I’m just a little bit stronger and I can be more ahead but yeah uh also the team did perfect today I was in a perfect position starting the climb so I didn’t have to do any extra efforts to to come back to the to the front so yeah pretty happy and bring the last two stages and last question about the the it City on Sunday is it something uh you you want to win to you think I mean of course if I could I would win every day but it’s not that easy for sure I’m going to give everything of I like the I like to do time TR so yeah I think it suits me a little bit so I’ll do my best anyway what means that Victory just two weeks before the tour though yeah I mean it’s means a lot I’ve been working quite a lot this year uh was a rough start for me I was a bit sick was hard to to get the shape back uh but yeah as we say who works hard always always gets it back so I did that and uh eventually the winds come thank you
