stage six of the tour of Switzerland could not have been more different to that which was built at the beginning of this race instead of racing over 151 km with an altitude gain of over 3,300 M unfortunately heavy snow on the Nan pass meant that stage six was truncated to just under 43 km in length and much of that was descending we started off in Ulin had a dear fic de and then it was a drive at high Pace down towards a kick up at the very end still finishing in blaton as stage six always intended to do but without the high pass which had been beveled by blizzards so a strange atmosphere it was to be at the front of the day and then once the paddle had dropped it was full on eyeballs out to be in the Breakaway we thought this battle would rage on for quite some time in the end it turned out to be quite quickly established well the man who set the pace at the beginning at least was Alexis renar of cofidis here with Frank vanen Brook from Team DSM fck post NL Anders feger from team jaob alula and Stefan Biser great time tralers that is for EF education easy post wow the pace had been up around about 97 km per hour on some of the Descent three others decided to try try and bridge over to the trio up the road they were neutralized by the high Pace that was being set by none other than UE team Emirates Adam Yates looking secure in that Jersey and the level of control that the United Arab Emirates team were imposing on that long descent that took us to this the final climb meant that nobody else was able to Sprint up the road well it did fracture just a little bit Deco aluas Anders fager going the same way as Alexis Renard earlier and bigar himself taking the tiso intermediate Sprint that watch was a big Temptation for him well Frank vanen Brooke did come by to be the last man standing from the Breakaway but it was all to no avail because UE team Emirates were in punishing mood they’d stopped everyone from going up the road to join the group of breakaway Riders little bit of a handshake well done forgetting the watch and others were starting to struggle noo was one of those that’s the big names really were under the Kos short the day was but also very sharp sha was playing the team game it seemed at this point at least just keeping an eye on anyone who would try and follow Adam yates’s teammate who leads this race Alida who’ been brilliant the day prior in guiding Adam Yates to Victory well how would he stand up to the challenge today yakes himself just moving his way through the nose of the palatin just leaving Shellos behind IND and a few others as well that found themselves not quite with the strength that they thought they might have such as Oscar Onley and the like but Adam Yates was absolutely Supreme 2.2 km to go shelma was trying to drive into the Gap the defending Champion the Danish Champion indeed just could not make it almea was in there as well so was Egan ber now had we had the full stage Egan beral would really have been amongst those who were looking for a stage win and maybe reinvigorate his champ overall well I’m much sure to day didn’t diminish the talents of Adam Yates well yesterday a very late spurt from Almeida brought him home second behind Adam Yates and now that Shellos was looking like he was fading and burn out from in grenadiers likewise ala drifted over to his teammate Adam Yates and they rode together ala then just pushing on in the last 500 meters and in fact gapping Adam Yates well they would say perhaps that that was by Design but Almeida really looked the more powerful of the two whenever we get to a grand finale he’s the man that seems to be able to take that extra step in terms of effort required and today that brought him Victory ahead of gates so reversal of the stage prior Shellos coming home in third place to take control of The Young Riders classification Egan beral making the top four but really this was all about U memor and the level of control that they imposed on just about everybody Al made a home first Adam Yates in second place ahead of shos Bernell Lenny matiz a good day for him to R out the top five ahead of mass and the rest Shia Arma Top Dog today well with a full-on Mountain Stage for Saturday and of course a time trial still to come on Sunday is he now the favorite for the race well it looks very good indeed and maybe Adam Yates is going to need a full minute on almea before we get to the final day’s time trial as it stands he leads him by 35 seconds one more mountain days to come then the time trial looks like UAA is to lose for now Adam Yates is resplendent in the yellow Jersey he paid tribute to his teammate and indeed the strength of the team overall they look remarkable and this is what we Face On Stage seven V we’re playing around the low cal beautiful Loop that we are dealing with including category one tests along the way but that means there Mountain points up for grabs visiting agler headquarters of the UCI of course dropping in again so a big test tomorrow probably the last major test of the race but of course the time trial will be the decider as to who is champion of the tour of Switz excellent no doubt that today was special [Music]
