I am retired from two careers of primary school teaching when I was deputy head of a Middle School and Primary School, and as a self employed Chalkboard Artist from 2002 until I reached the grand old age of 65 in 2016. Since I retired it’s like a second childhood but with more expensive toys.

I play guitar and write songs and have written about 14 songs for the local BBC radio station. I run a weekly (weakly) evening Acoustic session at a local pub and have been doing so for 14 years now. I also started an afternoon acoustic session in a quite large cafe in Nuneaton. Both premises were former songwriting clients of mine.

Much of the music I use on this channel is taken from epidemicsound.com free to use on Youtube for a reasonable monthly fee, and sometimes I suffer you with my own music.

Gear that I use:
DJI Mavic Mini 3 Drone.
Iphone 15 Pro for camera, generally front facing so I can see myself in frame. Super quality especially if I keep the lens clean.
Go Pro11
Gimble is a Q2 Smooth by Zhiyun, I ought to use this more often because it was expensive.

Video editing with Final Cut Pro X
Polarduck Mini Tripod for mobile phone. This is so good and under £10.00 I bought two.

Smatree Tripod / mono pod
Mono pod is a Manfrotto Compact MMC3-02 and is very useful for getting high angles that look like low flight drone shots and so easy to carry on my bike along with the mini tripod.

good morning everyone it’s John Neil here it’s Sunday the 9th of June 2024 and it’s Carnival [Music] day I would walk for miles in the I’ve your face and I’ve been asked to do some Drone footage so let’s make a make a bit of a meal of it shall we I’ve got to make my way to the sports field near the pingles I it’s Coldwell Road or something um cuz that’s where the Carnival’s setting off from and today might be the last Carnival they do for a while morning don’t [Music] oh [Music] well the part’s getting going here uh the police have arrived as you can see mind you they’ come a long way and uh yeah I think the judging is going to take place soon so uh and then it’ll be all underway let’s hope the weather keeps and now look I’m all official got the thing on [Music] well I’m outside wook primary school and Coldwell road because this is where the carnival procession is going to come out and people are starting to gather look at this it’s a Pity that I think this is going to be the last uh Carnival um because the council can’t afford to um fund it in any way but we’ll have to see [Music] [Music] you [Music] oh [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Music] y [Applause] [Music] [Laughter] [Applause] [Music] want to walk over this from there Wonder [Applause] [Music] [Applause] real [Music] [Applause] well so far everything’s going to plan there’s a lot of people out there’s all these motorbikes down here as well yeah wonderful uh and the weather is turning the way it was going to go that is a bit cloudier but we’re just waiting now by the library take a good look at that library because it’s due to be demolished which is a Pity but there’s people all the way along attlebury Road here no church Street it is waiting for the parade to come oh my [Music] come [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] y [Music] give you fre give you give you reason take [Music] [Music] every [Music] you fre you give you reason take you [Music] [Music] you fre you give you reason take youer [Music] [Music] get up get upab get [Music]
