me I was trying to fix it this morning but nope I still can’t get it oh I’m actually supposed to turn here so hopefully tonight I can figure out why it’s doing that it’s just I don’t know if anyone knows but like every time I go to turn on YouTube I have to verify my identity so it sends me like a code and then once I put in the code it’s like processing please wait and it get stuck on this of the owners there is like a proper cyclist like he got sponsored by an American company and I was like what so I talked to him for a little while about like my rooting and where I should go and he gave me some tips um so yeah I started more at 11: but I did have a sleep in today because I was tired so I did sleep in but I think I needed it a little bit we we just climb the elps so I think my sleep in was worth it I think maybe my sound is just off actually I don’t know where we’re going that says no but I think that’s where my map says to go huh yeah that is where my map says to go that’s confusing h I don’t think I’m allowed to go on that road I’m glad don’t blame for sleeping in sweetheart thank you Deborah maybe I should go on the sidewalk why does my I’m confused maybe no cars yeah but I feel like I shouldn’t ride towards traffic right maybe they do meet up if I go right but it looks like there’s supposed to be a bike path somewhere I can’t really tell what’s going on yeah maybe they do meet again okay let me try this we’ll see where it goes it’s kind of cold out not going to lie my fingers are a little Frozen I slept pretty good for the most part here I was oh there’s a bike lane oh yeah I s good for the most part the floors are really really squeaky and creaky and like I could hear a bunch of people walking around which made it a little bit harder for me to fall asleep cuz I could hear people going up and down all the stairs but I everyone wake up and like they were non-stop walking going up and downstairs walking walking walking and I was like I just kind of want to sleep in I was like they can’t be walking around that much the room’s pretty small but yeah people are just walking all around we’re on the waterproof camera so sometimes it glitches I can put us be better now sorry about the camera and its issues has my bike ever been washed it got washed every day when I was in England cuz of the rain maybe I should buy a new camera I need to see if the DJI camera comes in a waterproof case or not and then I’ll replace this waterproof camera maybe I should ask um Trevor cuz yeah this waterproof camera situation is not really good anymore I’ve had issues with it from the start really cuz yeah the DJI camera comes with a good waterproof case I can use that when it’s raining so I wonder if it does or not and maybe I could find one in Roder Dam to buy actually let me message him now so I don’t forget and then maybe I can figure out where to buy a waterproof camera yeah he’s not using DJI because of his iPad I think he had a bunch of new things going on at once does the DJI camera you bought have a waterproof case I’m struggling with my current waterproof set up all right I messaged him they might overheat but I would only be using it in the rain it’s just my cables keep having ISS isues and then the stream is like unwatchable you guys only had that footage for like 5 minutes and we couldn’t handle it so I need to figure out something else cuz like the Sony action cameras aren’t waterproof so I had to silicone cables in but since like the cables are siliconed in I can’t swap cables I can’t fix anything cuz like if I take the cables out then it’s not waterproof anymore so I don’t really have a good option at the moment I think so I’m struggling it over here and die you need a hot glue the DJI but at least I w’t have a HDMI cable get the Morgan oh maybe I need a bag maybe I could buy one here power what is this blue and purple coke key [Music] wve it’s pretty and buying it [Music] wow they have really good food options going to go back through the town and we could find somewhere to sit down but um that might not be the case but yeah yesterday we went through Gothard pass which is one of the famous passes today is downhill yeah pretty much downhill most of the way as I’m climbing we are really high up still we’re still we’re about like 1,500 M High oh there’s a tunnel I’m I’m going to pull over here and turn on my light I don’t think my ears have started popping yet oh wait there’s kind of like a shoulder on the side I wonder if that’s what I’m supposed to be on it might be I can see my breath and yeah maybe I should get gloves cuz I’m a bit cold but yeah look can you guys see it you can I think I need to do an Instagram update cuz that’s crazy I don’t think it shows up on my camera though all right cold my fingers are going numb I can see my breath when I talk we’re going mostly downhill today so it’s going to be a lot of descent uh so we’ll see how it go I’m going to go see if I can find my gloves and hopefully I don’t freeze cuz going down you get a little cold um but yeah we’ll see how we do I’m about to go through this tunnel thing but yeah look at all these clouds we’re surrounded over wow it’s a bit Misty over here and then look at these Bridges wow this look pretty good well look someone’s riding a bike yeah it’s pretty nice what a day already oh yeah this is really nice wow this is really cool quite impressive school trip who wants to go back to school hey I we on a couple School excursions pretty nice school trip we’re in Ander matat um Switzerland I’ll let you guys so pretty wow so I started my stream a little bit later today but honestly ly I don’t think that’s that bad of an a thing because if I stream later in the views that means more people can be awake to watch cuz my last couple of days I woke up really early to do my site clean and I feel like people from America Canada didn’t really get to see me ride the bike but yeah if we uh ride later in today maybe they’ll be able to see some of the cool views that we got yeah so he’s going to be like what you’re only here well you got a 200 km route today planned I know it’s quite cold very it’s cold out pass I don’t know if I’m saying it right probably not gotten him 2 days up 1 hour down yeah that’s how it feels like a lot of the time gun hard oh hard not H Gun hard got him got him but yeah I’m so happy we are here definitely a crazy experience definitely my best trip I think we’ve been on ay out of all the places I think this is the most breathtaking it’s just how do you compete with the Swiss Alps I don’t know but yeah it’s so beautiful New Zealand oh yeah maybe New Zealand so I’m I’m so happy hitch convinced me that I was a mountain goat and we did it Mountain go SRA oh with the 200 bits tiger cheer x 200 F was really mad they lost my business yeah I I was going to end my trip super lame I was going to take a a flex bus to Dijon or to Paris and cycle from France what a lame ending but now we’re ending it by climbing the Alps what a more cool ending actually I’m going to pull over here and put on a coat I’m actually getting a little cold and look at this waterfall I’m cold on the good place to be I like riding my bike alone like I’m riding alone technically like shes are cool yes technically we’re alone but I do have chat were crazy yeah I guess yeah they were watching to see if we could do it or not I think some people heard um a girl with a 1x 11 bike was attempting the Alps okay I got my fleece on that should help out a bit but yeah I went out for a pizza yesterday and the waer guy was very very curious about the twitch stream he was asking me lots of questions and that was kind of fun he’s like what you had that many people with you he’s like what oh he’s like how how do you do this and then guess what we saw him this morning at the grocery store new here but dang what a beautiful ride what a fun little town too yeah welcome in yeah if anyone’s new right now Soo I know that was a year and a half ago Japan my first trip I’ve actually gone to Japan twice on stream which is kind of crazy I went first on my bike trip and then last winter I went without the bike just for like walking doing trains and I really love Japan like the cities have so much going on like so many things to go do and see I do love it okay and I also love cat cafes that’s probably our our Summit yesterday 2,100 M up 2,000 M down oh yeah I can’t believe we actually summoned at the Alps and I can’t believe I didn’t complain it was kind of easy I don’t know how but it didn’t even feel like a challenge it was odd the climbs in Montenegro and Albania felt more challenging but I think like if I did the Alps first I would have been complaining but I think since I did some big hard climbs before this this one felt fine so I think if if if I did this first I would have been complaining but yeah I did it with my 1X 11 bike 40 kilos I’m not sure how but it never got too steep that’s the key if it gets too steep I struggle but if it’s not too steep I got it cuz yeah I never got too bad if I did the old road like I was supposed to it was supposed to get up to 22% but the old road was closed cuz there’s still snow and they haven’t cleared it yet so we stuck to the highway which never got too steep oh yeah Cobblestone too yeah CER would have made it a bit trickier under you this year I’m on track to go to more countries than hedge last year I forget how many he did but I I beat him and then this year yeah we hit a lot of countries it’s a competition no last year I also streamed more than him so you know I just had to one up him on everything but last year I didn’t have much time off last year I did a 6 month trip before going home and then I was only home for like how long not that long and then I went on my big Asia trip I think I was only home for 2 months last year yeah I did pretty much double my viewership on this trip so far it’s been a really crazy trip it’s definitely been like the best trip like viewership wise growth wise but like also like accomplishment wise with what I’ve been doing this trip has been the trip of growth my legs have grown we got some muscles now I just completed the probably the most cool thing I’ve ever done in my life the Alps it’s been pretty good so far so good this year mhm coffee there are more Mountains in Switzerland yeah I can come back to Switzerland and do different routes and passes I was talking to a guy this morning who’s like a proper cyclist he got sponsored by a bike company in America and I was like what the heck um and he was telling me about all these other roots that you could do here and he he like I don’t know how much time you have I’m like actually I don’t have that much time so now I’m like well we could always come back to Switzerland and do some other roots and stuff cuz yeah there’s apparently a few other things we could do here but I think maybe it’s better if you come more in the summer so some of the old roads will be open cuz some he’s like right now they’re still close cuz of the snow he’s like in a few months maybe they’ll be open but yeah we only have 18 days to get to Rotterdam so maybe come back I really close to thank you Mr Sting oh it’s not sting Mr Sting sting just wait till I turn the camera around some’s can get especially steep yeah but if I come back I’ll be on my new bike I’ll be on the Naked Bike the one that I just got offline and it should have a way better gear ratio and maybe I could cut down on my weight and maybe I could do bigger climbs like steeper climbs I’m just impressed that um I did this all on my decathlon bike shout out to decathlon cuz yeah I don’t have anything fancy for a bike right now I just got the basic the Caston bike but she’s done so good good job pupp but yeah I really need to put my stickers on can’t sell it now I know I was supposed to sell this bike to help pay for my new bike but like I’m getting attached to this bike more than I should so it’s going to kind of hurt cuz she’s been so many places with me I’m I’m a little bit attached I think I’m mostly attached because I gave it a personality cuz I I customized it I spray painted the racks I put on stickers so I’m a little attached I know I’m going to turn into a bike hoarder but yeah my new bike that I bought was a lot more money than I was wanting to spend but hitch and I have been looking online for used bikes for such a long time in my size and like not many pop up and one finally popped up that looked perfect H was like oh my God sorry he’s like it has a rollof Hub it’s custom built he’s like H he’s like this looks like such a good Touring bike he’s like a he’s like even I would like to ride that he’s like it’s better than my Kona Sutra I’m like really he’s like yeah it’s a good bike and I’m like I’m like you think it’s in my size he like I think it is so then I did some thinking and I was like I feel like I can’t pass this bike up because I’ve been waiting so long to find one so he test wrote it for me and he’s like sir I think it’s really good so I got it it was $2,000 Canadian dollar and it’s a 20-year-old bike so it’s it’s pretty old and it still $2,000 which is a little crazy yeah 20 years old $22,000 but it has um a rolloff Hub and the rolloff Hub by itself cost like a th000 cuz they’re really fancy and nice that’s what the T bicycle has but hitch is quite jealous of my rollof Hub hello yeah custom belts another T to Hitch in the front yeah I’ll pick you guys up in a second yeah regular gloves again driven around in cars a lot so so this is different I feel more connected to the nature Rocky scen uh we have a lot of uh trees on the mountains like Pine is that a bus stop right here that’s kind of wild Pine Spruce yeah oh yeah when you go more up it gets more Rocky I guess it’s the Rocky Mountains a tiny tunnel wee oo what is that like those pipes or something going up the mountain what is that interesting a slide oh my God imagine that’ be so scary hyro I wonder I guess there’s a lot of water going down here wow this is beautiful wow those trees up there are funky as well they’re like okay and then we got to go back this way through through the tunnel just got to do sunscreen reset there we go I know there’s a lot of like instagrammers and stuff online who like really preach like being vegan and stuff which is like all fine and then in later Years A lot of them had to go back to eating meat from being like completely vegan for like years because of health reasons and I’ve been seeing that a little bit online I’m like huh that is [Music] interesting do use Google Maps or other apps I use kimot which is like a cyclan well I guess it’s not only cyclan but there’s like cycle Maps you could say if your road cyclan or different types of Roads you want to be on so we use kute for the most part come yeah it’s a little little bit more reliable than Google sometimes Google sometimes puts you on roads that you should not be on okay so we’re going to go halfway down and then I’m going to turn I have to squeeze through some pillars which is going to be hard yeah okay I got through I could have stayed on the main road oh well that’s awkward oh yeah look at that I could have stayed on the main road huh that’s nice oops well let’s go back on the road I was just on I like little hard since my tent isn’t waterproof so I don’t know I really want to get back into the camping spirit I camped 2 days in a row uh at the base of the Alps and then I got two hotels hopefully we’ll camp tonight yeah this to is no longer waterproof when I was camping in the UK and it was raining I’d wake up in a puddle every day and it was pretty bad like my sleeping bag would be soaked sleep pad would be soaked cuz like so much water got in is this a bike lane I’m supposed to be on oh why is this a sidewalk I don’t know I think it might be a sidewalk yeah yellow lines is bike lane kind of by Amsterdam when is it uh June 28th and 9th [Music] but yeah I need to get there on the is it the 27th for a registration day so that’s the day we need to show up to get our badge well if people don’t know where you’re out are D if you say it’s by Amsterdam in my Canadian brain they’re close cuz in Canada standards they’re right next to each other but in Europe standards they’re far fly back and forth all the time so like the longer I can be overseas without getting flights the better cuz getting flights is the most expensive part and then next is accommodation which can be a bit is my bike but yeah the bike was just blue and silver and it was like very not my style but it was like a cheap bike well cheap considering so yeah that’s why we ended up customizing it to make me happy wa did I by the bik good old DE cathon not that cheap well it’s it was like what is it 700 lb or something okay I read the maps you have a gel seat no my seat is just like um a random seat that came off the tandem bike so it’s not special or anything either but honestly the seat I’ve never had really problems with it you carry something to keep food and drinks cool no I actually tried to carry like a little thermos like um lunch bag box thing and I would get ice and put it in there but that ended up being a really bad decision because one day I got ice from McDonald’s put it in there and the ice melted in the same paner my passport was in cuz I had a passport in a fanny pack and um my passport got destroyed because of the ice so after that event I kind of gave up and it cost me so much money cuz I had to buy flights back to Sydney after I finished biking all the way to Brisbane and then I had to pay for the passport I had to pay for hotels it ended up costing so much money because of my freaking McDonald’s ice does Sarah know where she’s going no I’m just pretending I think I’m turning here oh I think I was up here oh yeah I think I know where I am and then where I I to be a onetime use picture and I was going to take a nice one in Canada but nope it was the 10e one they used the same picture I thought I was supposed to get it retaken in Canada but nope but at least when they see me at the airport it looks accurate a little disheveled cuz people have been getting like glammed for their passport pictures like lots of makeup all this stuff hair done and then when they show up the at the airport and like sweats no makeup sometimes they like people don’t believe that’s them so at least we’re accurate and I kind of have a smirk in my photo for some reason olives and then I got hummus and cheese over here as [Music] well and then we got high protein cheese 60 g of protein so yeah I got protein cheese pmus and almonds I don’t know what this cheese is going to taste like though oh it smells really weird why does it smell like that it says it’s just high protein cheese yeah it tastes fine okay don’t question it but I always can’t by voltage lines do I I didn’t notice this noodle is not going to be cooked I can already tell yeah yeah it doesn’t take that bad we going to have like a bite of cheese and a olive not bad I like it so this is what summer looks like to be honest I did start my day in the snow but now we’re here okay I got all my snacks we’re doing good I also got some spicy chips so I’m going to dip my chips in the humus with cheese on top that’s what I like to do I really do love these olives though hot not cooked honestly I kind of like the taste of like not fully cooked pasta is it bad for you or is it like fine to eat it like that cuz I kind of like it that’s fine I’m dipping my spicy chips in the in the hummus I’m also getting a facial from the pasta right now can you guys see the steam that’s only been like 30 seconds longer but I’m tasting another one it’s so hot it’s almost done and then I’m just going to go drain the water over there probably very fancy but I think I take wild camping s elps yeah but there is a bunch of signs saying like maybe don’t Camp here and like where I was going to go while camping there was a mud slide apparently so the road was closed so here we are in a safe area making
