The first day of my one week bike tour cycling in Greece. Cycling out of Athens, I first headed to Marathon to see the archaeological sites, before continuing up into the hills. This bike tour in Greece will see me do a large loop over a week, taking in a number of archaeological sites and places of interest. For more bicycle touring videos, please subscribe to my channel!

    1. it might have ben windy Dave but it looked bloody warm 🙂 and some nice scenery too , I like your use of quill stems too , that gives more versatility to a bike than the more standard ( these days ) headset bikes , and they look better too 🙂

    2. Hi Dave, great video. Are you using a mobile phone to video or a go Pro? Just wondering how you filmed when riding, is it mounted or just hand held. Cheers. John.

    3. Hiya Dave,
really enjoyed your vids. I am setting out on the 24sept from London and cycling to Athens. Never done anything like it before and v excited!! just wondering if you had any hot tips and what do you recon the weather is going to be doing around this kind of time. Cheers 😀

    4. Cheers Dave. Yes very much planning on keeping to the coast. Thanks for the heads up about the balkans. Will def keep it in mind. Planning to be in Greece by then in any case but good to know what to expect.

    5. Hi, I'm Dario from Italy. Did watch your useful videos; would ask you if the motor drivers in Greece are dangerous (I mean more dangerous than in other countries); if they drive too fast or sometimes in the wrong carriageway. I'm planning a Peloponnese tour next April. Greetings

    6. Hi Dave! Well done for your nice cycling videos about my country! I 've seen you explored much interesting places! Σε ευχαριστώ για τα βίντεο!

    7. You’re right in saying that Leoforos Marathonos is a popular cycling route out of Athens. It’s also a dual carriageway on which people drive very fast so unless you like those sort of roads, I’d steer clear. Instead, make a right off of it and you can follow the coast on much prettier, much quieter roads through Artemis, Rafina, Matilda, Zoumperi, Nea Makri and on to Schineas before heading back inland through Marathonas and up to the dam.
