hey guys 99 here and welcome to a new video today we’re back on the pro team tour to France 2024 for the second episode with two door procycling where we will race our first ever World Tour race in the save if you haven’t seen the first episode please go and check it out as we race the three days of provance where we got a victory with da and a top five overall with Janis vazar this puts us in second place in the team procycling ranking and now in parin we’ll try to go go to the very top but it’s not going to be easy we’re going to have much tougher competition and also they’re going to be at a better level of Fitness than they used to be at the provance race about the route we’ve got two 164 km flat stages one of them with wind zones we’ve got a 31 km team time trial which we’re going to lose a lot of time because we don’t really have many time trialists then we have two Hill stages and then a flat stage in the middle before ending up in the mountains LEL and a n stage to end it up yes we want to change our team so let’s go here um we got Arvid decline as a sprinter I think this is the team that I want to go with yeah trentin Arvid decline Marco brener jannis wasar and Michael Storer as our GC leader and we are underway kilometer Z has been passed and the strategy for today is we’re going to have Rick plers protect arvit decline throughout the day and then we’re also going to have Joel Sutter protect Michael Storer and Tren te protecting bzar because of the Hill Gates not the hill Gates the the wind zones we really don’t want to lose any time with our Riders yes as you can see the wind zones are here and it’s currently coming from left and and in front of us it’s a headwind and you can see the effect of the board dur already now we will have a left hand turn it doesn’t seem to be a good day for him he’s being and now it’s a total head win this time from the right yeah 85 km to go as you can see as a straight line we’re next to Tad pachar and Rit and Olaf Koy is here Tim merer is here yasper philipsson is here so the competition is stacked actually this is also the final kilometer so it’s a good way to look out what we have we actually have a right turn and a left turn and so yeah that’s also to keep in mind for the finish in laier 20 km to go we have a small climb I think 1 km at 10% so I don’t think the hill itself is going to be a danger but after the hill we’ve got again Vin zone so we got to be in front yeah the climb is only 500 m [Applause] Bas is quite high so we’re just trying to stay in [Applause] front but make sure Michael stoer is in a good place as well and he is so that’s good news as well wow okay this actually a very very interesting finish we’ve got a Sprint gate where the sprinters will go for it and then we have the Zone exposed to wind for the last 6 km and the Sprint Gates is at that 500 meter climb so this is going to be really crucial we need to make sure that Michael Storer actually comes to the front as well because we cannot make if he doesn’t make the split then we’re doomed yeah the sprinters are going for it I have to follow them because if I don’t maybe I’ll miss the opportunity for the stage win so there we go now let’s get the red bar energy oh VOR is here kay is here what is going on here what is going on you have seconds on the I mean bore is going for it this is such a funny stage has just win does not end because of a crash of some sort just like the first stage so we’re following Sam Bennett we’ll try to find the better wheel there’s also a small hill with like 3 km to go so got to be yeah got to be following Mer’s wheel here looks safe okay 2.7 to go the speed is really really hard at the moment a right band a left band another right Bend we do make it and now there’s the final left Bend and we do make it as well now 1.4 to go and we start going now we start going now was it a bit too late I think it was a bit too late 500 M to go can we get the stage win from the right we go it’s not going to be enough I feel o that was close I think that’s a top three I think that’s the top three let’s see yes it was Koy but first place Place second is merer and third is us I think we timed it pretty good I think if we were 1 second earlier we could have got the win and you can see all of koi same condition as us wins the stage I’m quite satisfied with that and in the team classification we’re now just six points behind little thre so that’s also good news okay the aim is to get a top 10 but it’s going to be really difficult one I’m not familiar with Team time trials in this game I think I’ve played it once or something maybe twice and two our Squad is not great I’ll just tell you that our Squad is not great and it’s 31 km as well so it’s basically damage limitation but we’ll see we’ll see how it goes it’s going to be a fun experiment look at our team 65 67 68 69 60 66 and 73 so we’re just going to take Michael Storer as he’s our leader and let’s go team on to the starting line ready to set off on this time trial come on let’s it for [Applause] them really don’t know how long we can keep this up so don’t know if I’m going fast or slow I guess there’s only one way to find out I mean we’ve got our red bar Let’s Go full out actually for now thing with Sutter we’re going to go long yeah it’s the fourth Rider that counts turns left okay you got to be very about the turns as well oh that was hor horrible or it is is that the 1K Mark okay that’s 1K Mark and we are 9 17 past it yeah that’s that’s that’s good that’s good yeah joler doing a big pull here we’re up to climbers okay 12 just 6 seconds that’s that’s a good Pace I’m not use the first person angle too much do you guys like to see more first person or third person I mean out guys there’ll soon be a left go okay let’s now switch to Yanik bzar before this left turn yeah he’s got nearly full red so that’s that’s a that’s that should be a good thing okay we got to be faster than what it suggests because I just checked the time gaps and UAE is doing 24 something that’s mad your te together come on Su there we go that’s good okay brener is struggling a little bit doesn’t have the best try to follow Joel Sutter guys but there’s now three km to go come on yeah Joel Sutter is completely done and now we’re just left with three that is not what we like to see y we’ve crumbled under the pressure here that’s nothing we can do at this moment 500 m to go so 34 something it’s going to be 34 35ish so it’s not actually that bad but it would have been better if he didn’t blew up all right we got 14th just 5 Seconds out of the top 10 honestly this is what I expected I mean our Squad is really weak and we still beat a handful amount of teams such as M Star Israel Premier Tech and DSM so can’t be too sad about it okay next up fourth St stage L deard 7even kilums at 7% proper Punchy finish I think in the end there’s also a flat bit I can see from the profile so it’ll be good to save energy and just go Sprint right at the line with the Michael stoer that’s the goal so let’s see if we can do what we are planning to do okay today’s stage we’re also trying to join the Breakaway with Marco brener we’re just waiting for the right time to do that so we’ve had Derek G who attempted one attack is he still going no but right now we’re just looking at quickstep in UAE and how they react with these attacks okay it was difficult but we made it but in the expense of our red bar and some of our Blue Bar as well let’s see how we can do in the next km Sprint okay just have to wait for that first attack little going real slow proper captain miles at the moment 1.3 to go 5% average I think we have to go like 800 M to go if lur doesn’t go so that’s the key 800 M so is not going yeah there see the tempo is quite High 5.8k to go and there’s that flat section with like around 2K to go 3K to go so steep climb it is for the Breakaway unfortunately brener had no energy left G martan and I think that should be latur or no Christian Rodriguez they’re still going I mean they’re quite good Riders anyway and now there attacks now there attacks we are trying to follow Mark hiry here we’re trying to follow here sham pitock was it a good idea I don’t know but we’re trying to play attacking still trying to follow Tom pitock now vilder attacks you know whym we have vazar here vazar try to follow us mate try to follow us Big Guy where is he it’s way at the back though anyway I think we got to chill here I think we got to chill just try to stick in the group lot of group is in front but that’s okay still have the flat section here we still got a lot of riders here and T pachar is one of them using that red bar to the Max and now oh RL Nano with an acceleration try to follow these Riders as best as we can M Bard lenko is such a strong group 2.5 to go and here’s a really steep section now okay rogish stopped now pachar is going for it okay now group of 20 here so that’s also we can be proud of already top 20 for sure uh now we’re coming to that flat section now coming to that flat section oh we shouldn’t lose contact with the group we shouldn’t lose contact with the group Pitcock is here but we’ve lost contact final K to go that final acceleration following Tom pitcock 700 to go 600 to go trying our best it’s not going to be easy 400 to go let’s try to put out that acceleration to try to bridge the gap to the group can we do it no just behind the general classification group expected but a little disappointing okay our first battle against the best in the world pogar vagor RIT Evol and they all had also good Fitness apart from pogar and we come in a top 10 place we were so close to finishing in that group so that’s disappointing but top 10 is actually pretty nice just 19 seconds lost and we’ve also got some points and in the general classifications now we’re in the top six so if we can try to save this top 10 Place throughout the week that’ll be amazing
