La 2e étape du Tour de Suisse emmenait ce lundi les coureurs jusqu’à Regensdorf sur un parcours de 180.0 km indécis, notamment avec la montée du Regensberg (3,5 km à 5,7%) située à seulement 10 bornes de l’arrivée. A l’issue d’un final très animé et décousu, c’est finalement comme prévu un sprint en comité réduit qui a conclu cette journée, avec la belle victoire de Bryan Coquard au bout ! Après avoir tourné autour depuis le début de saison, le sprinteur français débloque enfin son compteur en 2024 et poursuit la récente dynamique positive de son équipe Cofidis, à qui il offre son 4e bouquet en un mois. Pour son premier succès depuis avril 2023, le natif de Saint-Nazaire devance en costaud Michael Matthews (Team Jayco-AlUla) et Arnaud De Lie (Lotto Dstny).
