Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of those nations many people donÄt see becoming a Monarchy again, which is sadly true. But if Bosnia were indeed to become a Monarchy again, who would be the King of the new Bosnian Kingdom?

[Music] a lot of the time when monarchists talk and discuss about the restoration of monarchies in europe they mostly talk about nations like germany russia austria france and so on but there are a few nations in europe which can make it seem like a monarchist restoration is almost impossible especially when those certain nations do not have royal families of their own one of these nations which almost nobody can see becoming a monarchy again is boss in herzegovina now as a bosniak myself as well as a monarchist i can sadly confirm that a monarchist restoration in bosnia is extremely unlikely at times even impossible for two main reasons number one bosnia does not have a royal family the last person to hold the title of king of bosnia was stephen ii tomaszewicz of the house of kotromanic when bosnia was invaded by the ottoman empire stephen was captured and executed in 1463. it’s believed that the house of kotromanic ended around the 16th century and after them there were no attempts of creating a new bosnian royal family and number two bosniaks today generally do not care about monarchism not because they have a dislike for it but simply because they have no interest in it at all across bosnia there is not a single significant monarchist organization and even if there was one it is extremely insignificant and the vast majority of people never heard of it myself included for these two reasons a monarchist restoration in bosnia seems completely hopeless but let’s imagine for one second that somehow bosnia became a monarchy again but this leaves one big question who would be the king of basner segovina in the modern day currently there are no claims or pretenders to the bosnian throne by another royal family but if we look at the history of bosnia after the middle ages we will come to the conclusion that there are three royal families which could have some legitimacy over bosnia by historical standards i will try my best to explain who these three royal families are and what kind of legitimacy they hold over the bosnian nation so sit back and relax as we will now dive into our very first candidate for the bosnian throne [Music] honestly this should not be a surprise to many people who have some knowledge on the history of bosnia the house of osman reigned over bosnia herzegovina longer than any other dynasty and saying that the ottoman empire simply left their mark on the nation is a massive understatement from bringing islam to the bosnian people to influencing bosnian culture the house of osmo truly had a lot of influence when it comes to shaping the bosnian nation and the modern day boston culture and even to this day bosnia and turkey enjoy a special diplomatic relationship and this even boils down to ethnic relationships as well with bosniak seeing turks in a very positive light and vice versa so the house of ozman coming to power in bosnia in the event of a monarchist restoration would not be a too far-fetched idea considering the historical basis as well as the relationship between bosniaks and turks today however we can’t also forget about croats and serbs when talking about this topic even if bosniaks make up the majority of the population in the nation today serbs and croats still hold a good amount of political power and passed in sagovina as well as numbers in the demographics while the house of osman may be accepted by bosniaks croats and serbs would go into direct opposition to this new change in leadership and if anything it would cause even more instability in the nation than today even another potential war arun osman the current head of the family would have a lot more trouble trying to stabilize bosnia herzegovina from the serbo-croatian opposition than actually consolidating power in the nation ah the classic habsburgs being the option for a european monarchy even when the country itself is not interested in monarchism but in a nutshell yes the habsburgs are indeed a fair option for the bostian throne even if the relationship between boss and habsburgs may not go as back as with the house of osman bastiner segovina was part of the austro-hungarian empire for a short while less than 50 years to be exact unlike with the house of osman which ruled bosnia for hundreds of years while it may seem like the habsburgs are lacking legitimacy here there is one certain thing they have which the house of osman does not and which will reinforce their legitimacy the habsburgs actually possess titular legitimacy over bossie and herzegovina or at least a form of it it is true that bosnia was not a kingdom under the austro-hungarian empire and that the title king of bosnia herzegovina did not appear in the royal titles the habsburgs do in fact hold one interesting title which is king of rama this title was held by the monarchs of the medieval kingdom of hungary to provide a legal basis over bosnia this title was eventually adopted by the habsburg dynasty as well and the banner of the title which you can see on screen was present at the coronation of ferdinand ii in 1618. the habsburgs have titular legitimacy to the bosnian throne but what kind of impact would a habsburg coming to power have on the internal stability of the nation to start off bosniaks would generally be accepting if the habsburgs came into power because bosniaks today have a bit of nostalgia for the australgarian empire which is clearly visible so they wouldn’t mind the habsburgs returning as for the croats i believe they would have the exact same attitude like the bosniaks since they were also part of the empire but for a much longer time than bosniaks as for their serbs well i don’t think i need to make a comment on that one so this time two of the three ethnic groups would be accepting of the monarch which is already far more stable than with the house of osman and as of now carl von habsburgs seems to be the best choice for the boston throne both in terms of legitimacy and stability [Music] the house of kara jorgevich was the last royal dynasty bosnia was ruled over by but despite this the house of kara jochevich lacks any real legitimacy over boston herzegovina they don’t have any titular legitimacy like the house of habsburg lorraine and historical like the house of osman the only reason why they even are on this list is because they still ruled over bosnia at the end of the day but for only 23 years which is shorter than even the house of habsburg lorraine the only realistic way the house of kara jorgevich could even come into power in bosnia is through the serbian population in the nation but considering that serbs only make up 30 percent of the population it would take a miracle for that to even happen even if let’s say they somehow became monarchs of bosnia and herzegovina both bosniaks and croats would be strongly against them coming to power because they did not have a pleasant experience under them last time in the kingdom of yugoslavia the kara giorgiovic would most likely not even last a month in power their reign would be seen as a return of serbian supremacy to both croats and bosniaks and it would definitely cause a revolution which would see them being dethroned almost immediately the current head of the family is alexander kharagevic and he himself has not expressed any wishes to become king of bosnia herzegovina and after the points we discussed previously it would most definitely be for the best but hey at least his children are not going around claiming they are princess of bosnia on twitter or something oh wait we have introduced our candidates for the bosnian throne the only thing left aside is who will be the best option for the title of king of bosnia let’s start off with the house of kara giorgiovic they have almost no historical legitimacy and no titular legitimacy and not to mention that two out of the three ethnic groups would be opposed to them coming to power making up over 70 percent of the entire population so it’s fair to conclude that the house of kara jojovich would be the worst choice out of our three candidates so they are being disqualified the house of ozman on the other hand does have historical legitimacy over the nation thanks to the fact that they ruled over bosnia and herzegovina so long and influenced societal changes there but just like the house of karachorojevic they would not be the best choice in terms of internal stability with two of the three ethnic groups opposing them while the percentage of people opposing them is only 45 it would still cause an internal crisis so they are also getting disqualified and now on to our last candidate the house of habsburg lorraine they possess titular legitimacy over the bosnian nation and they would be the best option in terms of internal stability with only one of the three ethnic groups opposing them you all probably saw this coming but the best and most stable option for the bosnian throne is indeed the house of habsburg lorraine and carl von habsburg is indeed the best option for the title of king of bosnia so there you have it folks the house of habsburg lorraine would be the best option for the boston throne if a monarchist restoration would happen in the nation as i mentioned before we are only exploring the possibilities and most likely scenarios because i severely doubt bosnia will ever become a kingdom again but deep inside my heart i wish that this moment would come one day anyway who do you think would be the better option of the three or do you perhaps have an alternative royal dynasty you would recommend for the throne feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments down below and thank you so much for watching this video if you would love to see more videos like these please make sure to 1. The house of Kara Jorgevich is also in the line of succession to the British throne. If there is no desire to restore a constitutional monarchy in Bosnia, then it is all good. They can always become British monarchs.

  2. Lol ! Dude last time a Hapsburg visited Bosnia caused the immediate destruction of 2 Empires … I do not think Hapsburgs and Bosnia go well together

  3. How about King Mujo Murat IV. of the house Muslimanski Srpski?

In reality it would either been some fat Austrian Habsburg slug or some Ottoman rapist, because "Bosniaks" like to be ruled by foreigners

  4. The Last Will of Queen Katarina of Bosnia. Considering herself entitled to dispose of the Bosnian crown, she named Pope Sixtus IV and his successors guardians of the kingdom, obligating them to enthrone her son should he convert back to Christianity or else her daughter should she reconvert.

  5. There is a monarchist organisation present in Bosnia-Herzegovina that is the Croatian Royal Council of Bosnia Herzegovina which is a preNGO and will be in 2024 organised as a NGO. It is a sister organisation to its Croatian counterpart and fallows legitimacy so the Habsburgs

  6. Karl von Habsburg is a globalist, he wouldn't bring anything good to anything he ruled. How the Habsburgs have fallen! It is sad to see the Habsburg House in charge of Karl, and his descendants aren't any better. That's why I believe Eduard von Habsburg would be a much better choice than Karl.
Either way, apparently the only option for Bosnia Herzegovina today is unification, either with Serbia or Austria-Hungary, unless a cadet branch of either Habsburg or Karađorđević Houses is chosen. I think a cadet branch of Karađorđević would be my choice, their Prince seems to love Bosnia Herzegovina 😂
