[Music] there were big names missing as Riders rolled off the start line in Albertville for stage seven of the doin the headline name being former Jito winner ta gagen har the results of the crash suffered by many riders a couple of days previous still evident they’d have a lot to take on on stage seven as well on the way up to an all category finish at samwa 155 km three first category climbs and that all category Ascent almost 10 kilm not far from 10% a big group got up the road 10 Riders mainly led by Mark Solair who with just under 50 km remaining decided to try to go It Alone bman was there with him as well balil M foro young rafy of EF education easy boast as well a really good group Primo rit in the yellow Jersey B Hans looking after him second place Remco iapo in the bunch in the white jersey and as the games were starting up the front I mentioned that Solair would go it alone and there he went Vil initially trying to go with him rafti for Moro forun all putting digs in at different times but Soler would be on his way with 44 km to go first gap of half a minute almost 5 minutes on the yellow Jersey group and on the ultimate climb a nasty rainy day some real inclement weather with what had happened earlier in the week everybody would be as wary of the sense as they were of the climbs first over the climb then was Solair taking the maximum points in the king of the mountains competition and perhaps a contender to take the Jersey he was looking like a contender to take the stage Gap up at 5 and 1/2 minutes back in the pelan there were worries on The Descent for pav COV the Frenchman having to take Igor arietta’s bike he was the best place rider in the general classification for UA team Emirates at 314 up the road though his own teammate Solair was for quite a while the virtual leader could he bring it home behind COV back to the pan and going into the final climb borans really working hard through Bob jles to bring the gap down and mean that soled would no longer really be a threat in the general classification he’d been at 345 at the start of the day a gap of just over 4 minutes at the start of the climb meant that he was looking good could he keep it going 2 minutes 10 seconds on those following even AO behind how was he going seus struggling with illness the week before this stage Mar pson expected for him to go backwards here what was less expected was this bco even AOL unable to hack the pace with 7 km to go ji hindley really piling on the pressure inapo was on his way off the podium Solair still had a gap of 3 minutes with 6 km to go but the pace was being ramped up surely they couldn’t catch him could they vlasov the next to work even AOL trailing by a minute two minutes still at the front to the yellow jersey with 4.7k to go for Solair but he was looking in pain vlasov in constant communication with rogich chick cor Jorgenson G still in the group Gap at a minute and a half with 4ks to go when Wago tried his luck but he was brought straight back by vlasov Lasana was still there Romo as well there were some tremendous rides but but the lights were starting to go out quite quickly it seems on Soler quickly below a minute and then they were just one hair pin away from him and with 2 kilm to go despite heroic effort a sensational Solair performance he would be caught so to the yellow Jersey group Landa and bromo just about distance as they went into the final kilometer and just as it had been the day before lass of blasting off Wago and lascano would try in the final kilometer could they get the Gap they needed chicone was straight on the wheeler as was jensson even a ball behind losing over a minute and Las Cano made his move with about 400 meters to go it took a big pull from Jorgenson to bring him back G was F going well Rodriguez just losing it 300 me to go from this point oh lascano a beastly ride from him and then rit in the yellow Jersey just over 200 me from the line Jorgenson getting on his wheel chck corner just about losing the wheel but jensson was in the fight here 100 m to go looked like he could have come around but it was a second acceleration from Primo RIT that meant it was a second stage win in as many days for the Slovenian he increased his General classification lead to over a minute and really took hold of the doin small gaps between the top Riders at the top a game Vass of man of the match once more RIT the leader Bor hans’s Band of Brothers putting it to Remco evapo RIT Jorgenson chor lascano and G some out standing performances in and around there it wasn’t all about the winner and certainly sold the seeds of excitement for the tour to France inle himself afterwards in interview saying that he wasn’t too disappointed with things knows where his shape is and still after having won a stage as well that this week’s race knows he’s on the right path to the tour at the moment He Slipped to sixth place it’s RIT Jorgenson G Derek G also one of the breakout maned perform es of this race Primo RIT then taking the yellow Jersey a stage win going to him for the second successive day he’s also in control of the king of the mountains competition just ahead of Lorenzo Fortunato and not content with a triple celebration there was also a fourth appearance on the podium as the points classification leader as well this is what awaits the Riders on the final stage 160 km again many mighty mountains lots of first cats and it’s with a first category climb to the plateau deer that the race will finish it’s not over yet but a lead of just over 1 minute for Primo RIT means he’s in Pole Position going into the final day of the do [Music] [Music]

    1. Not a remco fan but he’s def on form. Shame about the crash, no matter what he says it’s going to put stress on your body crashing on a broken body. Hope he heals up quickly.

    2. Derek Gee is having a great race, he’s been truly surprising!
I wonder how he’ll stand up in the tour this year. Fingers crossed, he’s a really likeable guy.
