    1. For the gravel and sand. Let go of the grip a little bit, leave your arms relaxed and yet firm it´s normal to slide or off track a little bit. Also, specially on the sandy parts, keep your head up and your gears easy and pedal hard in a high ratio.

    2. Viel Erfolg auf eurer Reise – looking foward to your journey. Little tip for long bike tours and back and butt pain – seatholder suspension, with that you won´t feel gravel roads that much and your spine won´t ache. 😃

    3. When was this trip recorded? It was uploaded 8 days ago which is mid to late November but the weather seems more like summer or early fall. When is the next leg?

    4. Are you dropping some tire pressure for the squishy parts? You’ll want to put it back for pavement, but it’ll be worth the time & effort. You just get more grip & control on gravel, mud & sand with softer tires.

How soft will depend on the quality of the surface, your tires, your bikes, your loaded weights, to some extent your level of experience & skill, etc.

      Good luck w/ it.

      👍

    5. Hi travelers, we wish you a very nice and enduring Journey. We will be starting in December our biking around Sicily, as yours, this one will be the first longer Journey with bikes. Love your video, nice and funny. Safe travels and best regards <3

    6. Wow 90km on the first day without any training – kudos! Glad you made it and didn't give up! I do a lot of Sunday tours (80-110km), but when cycling multiple days, I start with 60ish… and that even with much less baggage. I hope you'll find your rhythm and Arev will feel more comfortable on the bike each day!

    7. Here's a hint: don't look where you don't want to go!
Your body will move towards the place you're looking at and saying (aloud or otherwise) "I don't want to go there!"
So always keep your eyes focused on there you WANT to be, not where you don't! 😀
For not having ridden much distance, doing over 90 K on your first day is an amazing accomplishment!
I'll also be utilizing Warm Showers on my trip. So far, to date, I've actually hosted twice! So great to hear the adventures and advice of people who are out there doing what I want to do! Great video! Keep them 'real' like this the whole way through! Tchuss!
I'm two months away from finally starting my ride around the world! I will criss-cross the U.S., E to W, then W to E to NYC and jump across the 'big water' to Ireland and continue.
      Stay safe!

    8. 90 km on your first trial day is really a lot! Many people would've hit their "wall" by then. As you get going on your trip I'm sure you'll find the right rhythm and right distance. This will always change based on weather, terrain, road conditions, and interesting things to see that take some time away from the bike. That's what makes it so very much fun. — I look forward to catching up on the rest of your videos, then following you on your journey.
