CYCLING IN NORTHAMPTONSHIRE! – 65KM

Decided to take the camera with me this time riding a loop we did a few weeks back.

Its a 40mile loop out into the Northamptonshire countryside. My friends Rik and Electric Jake came along this time!

good morning sports fans welcome to the channel my name’s Tommy if you’re new here and if you’re not new here welcome back it is a Sunday morning we have done 5.3 miles it is a glorious day out I’m with me mate Rick and electric Jake we’re getting some miles in today I’ve got me New Jersey on new Asos Jersey very nice and I guess without the ra cap today you can call me assos boy but but we’re out we’re getting it done and as you can see the sun in the sky it is absolutely gorgeous let’s get it done [Music] we are 8 and 1/2 miles into the ride today we are going to head out about 40 m ride today we’re going to head out into the um Northampton Countryside we’ve currently just been through fosin ha and we’re going to head up here and head through a place called glat thorm through the upper and lower Benning Fields out to a place called brigstock and then we’re going to do a bit of a uh a U-turn there and head back but yeah it’s somewhere new I’ve ridden it before but without the camera so it’s somewhere new for you sports fans to see and uh like I said it’s another bloody lovely day these arm warmers might be coming off soon and I’m starting to wish I didn’t put a cap on I like cycling in the cap it catches the sweat but that breeze through the helmet is very nice anyway let’s crack on let’s get some mils on the legs and enjoy this beautiful countryside [Music] we just heading into a place called glap thorm now out between sidic and andle in Northampton sh we are nearly 11 miles into the Ride Like I said today is going to be about 40 40 mil carb back I haven’t really ridden much this week I’ve just had a busy week with work not really being bothered to get on the turbo or go out in the evening and like I mentioned earlier I’ve not had the best weather here in the UK hopefully this sun being out today is a glimpse of Summer and what we got coming up over the next few weeks but you never know living here you never [Music] know all know I’m quite a big advocate for the uh Asos of Switzerland clothing and you can see from the Jersey Trea myself to a new white summer Jersey from Asos it’s not the top of the range one it’s just the GT melee series but it’s got a nice seamless arms arm sleeves on it and uh I’m glad I’m wearing white today cuz that sun beeding down out the sky it’s blooming [Applause] warm upper Benning field this part of there’s an upper Benfield and a lower beningfield and I’ll film it it’s a bit twisty but it’s the place where in the hot weather all the motorbikes come because there’s a nice few Corners to to whz round out in the countryside here [Music] [Applause] [Music] into lower Benny field nice couple of twisty bits and up here we’re going to take a right towards rri stock [Music] that big house over there oh hold on tight sports fans with a few PS think you get a better view of this house just here looking back that way there’s the avenue to it but no maybe you can’t see too much [Music] and I think now sports fans we are in the pites village a brid stock or Brig stock brick stock I think but lovely Cottages little thatch roofs people out cutting their grass and that lovely smell freshly cut grass in the morning lovely oh yeah yeah we are in Bridget which is very very picturesque there we go there a sign for you so you can work where we are and one way traps in the other gorgeous absolutely gorgeous we’re 18 and 1 half miles in which is about halfway or maybe just below halfway and we’re coming up now to I think the a43 main road so the camera will be on the bars here I’ve got to concentrate for a little bit before we go up a bit of a rough climb heading back home this is it rick yeah the rough road we’ve turned off the a43 and we’re on a back roide now to a place called libon newb build I probably pronounced that completely wrong but this climb we’re on now and the road surface is horrendous I mean this bit here is okay but further up here I’ll probably clip you on the bars you’re going to be bouncing around like mad [Music] hold on sports fans we’re nearly at the [Music] top def over that way [Music] well my bones have been Shake Ratt and rolled coming up that climb hopefully some of the footage is uh is usable and you’d have just seen we’ve been it quite difficult to film one-handed Dodge of the butth holes in the sunshine and the Shadows but hey ho we are 22 mi into the ride and like I said we’re aiming for 40 today and actually want to do 40 today even if I’ve got to do a few laps of the street or around the local area we are between brigstock and libon new build I believe I think that’s how you pronounce it and we’re on a long straight road which is a bit kind of adjacent to where we came early on on the ride we’re just heading up this Farm Track Road now and thank God the road has got a bit smoother there’s less poles to to cycle around and try and Miss but yeah it’s good it’s good to be out it’s good to be out with a couple of mates as well this road we’re on now brings us out back into toward towards andle on the outskirts of peterb you’ve seen it in many of the other videos with all the cafes the nice old buildings and the uh the private public school whatever you want to call it but this should bring us out just past or just at the side of andle golf course further up here and there we go andle golf course on the outskirts of andle here we are into andle look at that it does there you go guys if I win the lottery I’ll try and buy that that’s for sale actually on a way out of andle now we’ve cut through we’ve missed the uh the main city or town center of andle we’re cutting over the bridge to come out of andle we’ll cross over this roundabout on the main road and head out towards polebrook I think and from polebrook we’ll head back towards petur and try and find a nice independent Cafe this time [Music] we have just come out of Paulbrook up Paulbrook Hill and we’re heading along the road here which we’ll take a left on shortly out towards uh I always get this place wrong Jake where are you from sorry where are you from warmington warmington that’s where we’re heading we’re heading towards warmington it’s a cafe in warmington and you’ve seen it in my videos before and we’ll stop there and have a quick coffee I think we’ve earned it we’ve done 29 1/2 miles and it’s probably about 10 maybe 9 and a half from here now home so we’ll be very close to that 40 figure that we wanted we are 31.2 mi in and we’re on the road to the cafe where we’re going to stop and have a quick coffee it’s the warmington rectory Farm I think it’s called Cafe and on it’s just on this bit of Road up here on the left hand side well that was Splendid the arm wers are off it’s warm it’s beautiful the Caps off Under The Helmet as well that was nice A little cheeky caramel latte and now we’re on our way home we are 31.7 mi into the ride and like I said I want to get to 40 so we want to make sure that we get this extra 9 miles in and to get off the list today look at the view out there it is beautiful out today absolutely stunning there’s hardly any wind in the air the Sun is shining and out we main cycling what more could you ask for or maybe a pint or two but that’ll come this afternoon [Music] hopefully we are 35 and 1/2 miles into the ride heading back home now it’s probably another 5 before we’re there and we’re just coming down bullet Road past uh another golf course but this time it’s Elon Furs so it’s the toward the golf courses today we’ve been past andle and now we’re going past Elton Furs back down around the road [Music] sports fans that is 38.9 MIL about 39 and we are probably a mile is away from the house you might have to double up and down the street a few times just to top it up to 40 but good
