A day BIKING IN LUGANO, Switzerland

In August we spent a few weeks exploring Switzerland. Our first stop was in Lugano just for a bike ride around town. It was a Sunday afternoon and no one was around! This was the perfect way for us to get a feel for this city without having to deal with too many crowds.

Lugano which sits on the Lugano Lake is in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino bordering Italy, so it really didn’t feel like we were in a different country yet! Come with us for a bike ride around town and check out what unexpected representation we found while we were exploring!

Welcome to our Vlog! We are the 5 Wold Explorers: Massimiliano, Sarah, Cosimo, Emma, and Luca! Our family of 5 sold everything and set out to explore this beautiful world in June 2018. fans so we are officially trying to leave italy for a little bit we are on our way to lugano which is in a lake no it’s in switzerland really on a lake okay but i’ve got our lake yes but we were on the italian side dad turned left here now we are gonna go on the swiss side we have no plans and we’re gonna eat the best swiss cheese ever made we have no clue of what we want to do and our camper stinks like broccoli because i made broccoli four days ago and now the whole thing smells you know so you can see our happy faces and also so never make the broccoli water in the camper yeah okay so to get to switzerland it’s just 20 eight minutes away okay and mom another easy way is it what what if they would have without what if back then they didn’t have gps’s so another easy way is they put a load of swiss cheese do you follow the cheese right yeah okay so we’re we’re going through the little town we’ve been staying for the past five days correlata and we’re going to take this um tunnel through the mountain to get through part of the road but there used to be at home where you go with the bike that is laughing because i’m so funny right now just making being a tour guide now i mean how is she funny because i’m being a terrible tour guide so now i’m gonna just show you the lake which is much prettier then how you talk you know how i talk yeah so you can see the lake okay we learned that one and what you can we can but you cannot luckily you cannot smell the smell it’s awful yeah this is the one time we’re happy you can’t smell we’re smelling we’re gonna approach the tunnel now and on the left there is a road which was the old road to go around the lake but we are taking the fast one now in 10 kilometers we’re gonna be in switzerland [Music] do [Music] okay we are officially in and it looks just like italy because we’re on the same lake yeah there is not much difference no actually the the mountain is different yeah it’s the rock yeah it’s totally different he said switzerland switzerland there’s a cow jumping on the there’s an invisible line that divides the two countries no there’s like literally a line someone’s scuba diving and they put a line okay it’s like paint it can’t go away so now you see the swiss flag feel like you go swimming [Music] okay guys we made it to lugano we stopped on a side road it’s a sunday so there’s nobody around and we thought it would be quicker easier and more fun to go for a bike ride so daddy very patiently is pulling out everything um on vacation on the lake at home they’re not working today and so we’ll take advantage of this because we’re not really city people so this is the best day to go around the town i’m not sure how much we’re going to see but we’re just going to get a little feel for it make this happy [Music] so [Music] [Music] do [Music] guys we made it to lugano we went for a bike ride so cool to the bike ride here everything is so perfect right they even have the light for the bike and then they have like the there’s bike routes everywhere it’s not like in other places where there’s a little piece and then kind of to end you have to respect all the design and everything because otherwise so the cool thing is we’re on this street which is kind of fancy i think you can really do some serious shopping here of like expensive stuff and it’s everything is closed because it’s a holiday uh it’s sunday and it’s full summer and so we get to enjoy it with our bikes luca’s not very happy because he’s attached to daddy and he does not like that but now daddy’s going to give him his bike so he can enjoy this too we’re making some noise in this very peaceful street so daddy what do you think at least we’re good putting it use our bikes right i don’t think we’re gonna move to two switzer it’s a little maybe too perfect for us too many rules too many the kids they told us that the kids they had to be in line and be quiet when they go on the slide so yeah we cannot stay here it’s not for us so this is a regular shop and look at the pandas on their heads how is that supposed to be fun on a playground then you just have to be quiet the whole time kids were very quiet on that playground though that we saw and why do all those mannequins have panda heads i have no idea okay so they set it up it’s a transportation that goes up the hill so people don’t have to work we went on this in other places no because then you have to go up the hill and then and then we have our bikes here yeah say bye did you see that it went in the tunnel [Music] oh later luca now we can go okay so today we were as we were walking around we saw these kids setting up for this and then mass asked so it’s it’s actually somebody start doing something start realizing that they’re getting awake finally that the the climate change is gonna influence us if you don’t you don’t do something about it and we have to do a quick that is what is gonna happen at the end so the girls are standing on ice look away once the ice melts we know what happens right so so is that going to be our end that’s what they’re trying to say such a good message especially with all that’s when going through during the coven 19 and all the climate change okay sometimes you explore and find things you totally did not expect in the meantime while they were setting up our kids were just biking around them so this is our only meal of time first meal in switzerland and we just had gelato which is really good but really expensive right yeah it’s five euros well actually five francs for the smaller one so it’s not the price we’re used to in italy lucas is having a croissant but it’s really good okay we left lucano uganda is not exactly the kind of city that would like us kids place yeah we got no we are too loud and too energetic i guess we got some pretty bad stares for our noises anyway so now we are going to go somewhere else we have no idea where we are going to find out as we just going so
