together last night and everything looks to be pretty good um we rented them they’re delivered here so um super nice I’ll have to deal with all that on the way but uh our bags are full and and I filled up my water bottle with coffee for this first segment because it starts right out the gate with the biggest climb of the entire Trail so we’ve got around 500 miles to go and 36,000 ft of climbing if all goes well and this is mile one so let’s go we don’t know where we’re going to end up tonight but uh yeah we’re going to start early see where we get B came Bo Camino let’s [Laughter] go first pill she got W wo W you ha the H me first downhill this this is why we have bikes getting the sweat going yeah see my hair just soaked this a nice little Hill [Music] St what are you listening to Taylor Swift’s new album it just came out today hasn’t even been released in the United States yet is that why we came here so I can be ahead of everybody maybe this makes 26 today 26 horses yeah Five Horses per mile four it’s pretty good pace [Music] all right we’re nearing the top of the first big climb we’ve got 4,700 ft of gain and it was a little soggy there’s some muddy sections but overall pretty good had to hike a bike a bit and yeah the weather is amazing locked out big time this is the high point yeah it won’t all right onward we go beer coffee sandwiches views we’re recharged ready for another 20 30 miles what’ you say did you that every Wild herd has a stallion and a lead mayor but the lead mayor makes the decisions so whoever was mumbling over there is probably the lead May yeah but these aren’t wild herds but that’s what I’m saying there’s probably no salion in here yeah but they still have like a hierarchy in horses so each one has like a a position in the HD look how cute that little baby is okay onward okay byebye this is the best thing my life I don’t know what can talk this heart ever SE oh my goodness made it uned [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] don’t know yeah some sort of Sucker hungry I think I found my dream rig right here it’s like some sort of mix between a little tiny Toyota but smaller and it’s got like a bubble b a wood table in the look at that they already started the build out Centron this is kind of cool like a a ditch system upgrade and this is how they go under the pads just do a well here well there levels off so as long as that has an out it is slightly below this it works simple but still kind of brilliant so the water fills this entire under Fortune we made it phone batter’s low human battery’s low 51 miles hold you have cooking yes right there okay day four here we go Target is Bergos let see if we can make it there today and then maybe tomorrow we’ll take a slow day I don’t know [Music] again wait to get on the Camino again this life I love is R back all the way up where are we today well we’re going to try to be in Burgos today so we’re down here somewhere there’s a little perspective into how far we aren’t on the journey still so much to see [Music] [Applause] W happened totally flat yeah I don’t see anything we got bike mechanic Chase to the res this is my two us now out of commission he’s got the new T in pumping her up and we be on our way to no time three of charge [Music] [Applause] than Chi [Music] ches look at that branches grown together from different trees there’s been a bunch of them there’s some in Loops there’s some oh those ones aren’t together I’m sure there will be another we’ve seen a bunch there’s a loop loop oh continuous continuous continuous back there continuous up here it’s crazy there’s three different trees all like connected it’s wild it’s a tidbit windy today and getting our first little bit of rain but can’t complain we’ve been so lucky so far and I know this is just a fleeting little storm so yeah Cino day five chilling morning day [Music] six what do you think the mileage [Music] is6 [Music] 56 79 [Music] [Music] here is our home for the night let’s hope they have some food this is bar closed but R and cooked meals and lasagna and homemade bread and homemade bread [Music] [Music] [Music] a little soggy now little soy end of the day well we got the rain made it 8 days without much rain so I guess I can’t really be too disappointed but we’re surely getting a taste of it [Music] [Applause] today you s water anyway back pockets my shoes are full of water oh yeah pour them out in the sink there we go beds for the [Music] night well we have settled into day number nine it was just pouring rain all the evening we got soaked yesterday the end of our ride dried out our stuff all night and then this morning it was just raining pretty hard all day until about noon or po I guess so we took off the first half an hour or so it was still pissing but figured the window we had was not wide enough without rain so we’d catch the front end hopefully the wind will dry us out which it kind of is right now so got about another 35 miles today before our final day on the Camino the animals on this segment have been really cool lots of Liv stock and dogs and horses and all the things that Mak sa happy so
