Remco evapo lit the fuse and fired to a dominant time trial Victory on Wednesday the Belgian starting the weekend in yellow and intent on defending the Jersey an early wakeup call for day five the question was Sprint or break stage one’s winner was in no doubt it will be a Sprint yes it’s my last chance of winning a a stage here so so we have to make sure it’s going to be a Sprint and we have other teams who’s interested in doing the same so it have to be a Sprint yes Sam Bennett though wasn’t expecting much support against a break we can’t afford to let a big group go up the road there’s only two teams interested and there’s so many other teams that want a break yeah you never know unless AJ they settle on the on it being a break and they’re happy for it to be like a rest rest day before the hard weekend not a race to impact the GC Madness corneel and Fred Wright sharing their view on the day ahead I think it’s quite open it’s uh it is possible for the sprinters to control but we don’t have many big sprinters so uh for us we’ll go out and look into the opportunity from uh from the breakway and we hope there’s more teams that that want to do the same I think it’s more the sort of 20ks before it it’s quite looks you know more corners than we’ve had in the other stages more uh a little bit more technical bit of Tailwind so he kind of being in the front quite early over the over the top of that sort of last climb and then yeah the rest the rest we can we can uh work out today’s 167 km route between aul and S PR will be ideal for attacks a hilly profile it all depends on the Breakaway if the Pelon arrives at the line first Pon Bennett part two may be on show but can their teams control for an entire day or will the escapades make it a day to remember no appetite it seemed for a major break only three kicking on matis Leber wanting to maintain his King of the mountain status the AR man followed by Tobias berer of alason and cor neel’s Uno X teammate adna halter a 4minute gap began to slide much like halter a crash forcing the Norwegian to change bike the leading Duo though chose to wait for halter three better than two if they hop to hold off the charge of the pelaton no shock that it was Leo Trek and de cathlon up front to keep them at arms length the distance at 2 minutes as the trio reached the foot of the penultimate climb of the day the Category 3 Ascent up the Cod deore at the summit Le picking up two kinging the mountain points to make it hit eight for the day so far relatively easy in defending the poka dot Jersey the final 50k 1 minute 25 the distance and soon enough two became one halter dropped on The Descent either confident shot after the earlier crash or feeling the pain maybe both not the only struggler Lear forced to unclip to keep his balance the conditions making a previously cam day into a hellish one and a big crash a number of riders hitting the deck including neelson poess seventh in the GC the American returned to the front of the pelaton at the head of the race Lear NAB the sole point over the Cod de with no challenge for berer halter back in the pack just before the race was neutralized on The Descent one Rider losing traction enough to set bikes flying oh massive crash on the left hand side [Music] after time to survey the damage doin director Terry govu making the big but straightforward decision to neutralize no stage winner the pelaton riding the 20K to the Finish wondering who would be fit for tomorrow’s start line overall it’s okay uh crashed on the right side so uh crashed on my head as well as well as you can see the helmet uh saved me today uh so yeah I think uh there are guys in a worse in a worst uh situation than I am now so I uh I hope and I wish everybody a a good recovery and uh yeah just uh onto onto tomorrow and not focus too much anymore about what happened no stage winner therefore no movement in the general classification Remco therefore retaining leadership and the yellow Jersey if not in the manner he’d have wanted the green jersey remains on the shoulders of pretty much Rod glitch nine points collected means Leba continues to be the best climber at this doofan ahead of a busy weekend and Remco will once again loan his white jersey to Mato Jorgenson tomorrow sees the start of hostilities stage six will pit the field against the K de before 11k and 8% over the Ki dvar a brutal challenge after a torturous day

    1. UCI and RD's need to come together to provide a safe racing environment and take their asses out of their heads to determine sufficient race day conditions. If it's wet and raining just call off the race for the day jesus fuck. Literally a waste of time and putting people's lives and bodies at risk to have them crash and cancelled the day anyways. What fruitless day.

    2. Liking this format with interviews and dramatic music effect. Maybe I'm late to the videos but still wanted to share. Wishing all the ones who hit the deck a timely recovery.
