    As a mountain biker I would not normally get enthusiastic about a cycling descent on road but I have to say the Knock Ore Gill road descent was very special featuring a unique landscape and wonderful all round views. We had the whole road to ourselves and ‘boy’ did we get up some speed. It truly was a thrilling end to a great adventure.

before negotiating the first challenging climb to the top of highcap [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] w [Music] [Music] [Music] he [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] well on reaching High cap on our way to the summit of crossfell we decided to have a wee rest and admire the surrounding landscape [Music] [Applause] la [Music] a [Music] a [Music] [Music] a [Music] [Music] [Music] well the cloud cover was beginning to look very Grim indeed but miraculously we managed to avoid any rainfall all day [Music] and there it is Grandville here climing to top cross Bell in gria it’s a piece of fish Hills that’s all they are they only got Hills here we’ve got mountains back in barley but here I am Grandville here climbing crossfell in gria and it’s a piece of bit mountains somebody told me a be you’re joking they’re just ills no bigger than a baby’s bot how head to they got little lill not like the mountains we’ve got back yor no no blood nuts [Music] and down the champion the champion Ro down yeah chion it’s champion [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] in your shed nothing will W well we got to top shame it was all covered in Cloud eh look at it now the clouds are bloody gone we froze our bollocks off up there didn’t we [Music] seeking answers hi alone is this the way it’s supposed to go the B release me where the is around B for when the got to fight come on around come on oh stay off the mo flinty I would not like to spend the night here Gregory’s Hut John Gregory was restored by the mountain bothies association minine club wood and matches Li oh yes it’s a fire [Music] e [Music] everything I used to be seems to have disappeared so fast like time is playing tricks on me like my present now is my past so lost in a familiar place while everybody’s moving on and I try to keep keep up with the pain but I don’t know what’s going on it feel like running backwards over time it feels like I am being left behind everybody seems to know where they are going to I don’t know if I should leave all stay if I am already on my way but it feels like I’m running backwards all the time it feel feels like I am being left behind it feel like I’m running backwards all the time and feel like I be let behind I do my best trying to make sense baby on my past and future T when I’m lost on the Open Sea you’re the wave that will carry me this really nice fast descent to the Village of gagle was a very welcome rest bite from the tough terrain that we had experienced going to and from the summit of crossfell [Music] yes hey [Music] we’re heading for the Great Wide Open the clouds are gathering well this section of the trail was really tough going but looking back on it we really enjoyed the [Music] experience hey they will tell     1. The North Pennines looked like a challenge in a good way kind of day out, plenty of different features interesting to explore other hills in other parts of the country. With the exception of the Laggan cottage on Arran which tbh was a bit run down have never been inside a proper maintained bothy will have to check out sometime.
