My final training ride for the Traka 200 and I had to abandon it half way around due to the unrideable conditions. I pushed the bike 3km up a mountain and it wasn’t fun. Those bits that were rideable especially the Chemin du Col de l’Aulp were awesome but this really needs re-routing to make it more rideable.

This is the route I was following: not recommended https://www.strava.com/routes/3219908319457433254

[Music] is that Thunder did you hear that sounded like thunder or maybe an avalanche [Music] scary hey I’m back on the shores of Lake an and I’m on the gravel bike look so uh this is my final uh training ride before the tracker could be a wet tracker you never know um but uh I found a gravel route around Lake Hy so I’m going to give that a wh um still very cloudy all right let’s uh get going so I set off in uh anesty Town Center the old town and um basically followed the lake um clockwise until I got to barer deac took a left and then started climbing and I’m now in the back roads well I was on the back roads and I’ve now just hit gravel around the corner there’s there’s ansy back there can you see at the end of the white buildings at the end of the lake so uh already done about 16k but um climbed quite quickly I’m just going to do some gravel now so let’s uh let’s see what lake Hennessy gravel is like only done about 100 m but look at that view over my uh right shoulder wow snow cap mountains that’s uh that’s pretty special isn’t it bit of a road climb here to get some [Music] height normally wouldn’t stop for these on a road bike but as I’m on the gravel bike I thought I’d have a closer look at this about on a level with the clouds on the opposite side of Lake there um fortunately not in clouds at this side see that little face up there but no idea what he is but uh it’s quite interesting couple Ries there they’re obviously locals they dressed up like it’s winter I’m heading up here over the [Music] bridge my d [Music] bloodly hell look at this how steep it is hello boys you stuck in there [Music] hello oh ass [Music] [Music] they’re far too steep look I could ride that down but uh I’m struggling to get up the hill [Music] [Music] cing good 2 km now and it’s totally unridable look at it it’s just uh I mean obviously if it was flatter I could ride it it’s not the surface it’s just the uh gradient [Music] is I wouldn’t mind but I’ve pushed so much up this flipping mountain and I know it’s a mountain but uh it’s supposed to be a gravel route so uh that’s a bit rubbish but I’m above the clouds now but uh there’s an that’s the little Lake that’s dwank [Music] I don’t know must be an hour gone pass since I last checked in and all I’ve done is pushed so far I’ve put 14 24 M running nose but look at the uh scenery is quite impressive I’m just going to go over this little bump see what’s here is that Thunder can you hear that sounded like thunder or maybe an [Music] avalanche scary [Music] it’s quite impressive isn’t it [Music] finally look at that wow [Music] all right well that was the socalled grapple route around Lake Hennessy as you saw was horrendous totally unridable in places even on a mountain bike I’d suggest even on an e- mountain bike you wouldn’t have got up some of those uh climes so uh I abandoned it and I’m back on the uh um cycopath that takes me back into Ane [Music]
