day two of the do started with riders leaving Ghana and heading to C La 142 km on the menu over 2,600 M of climbing this was to be a difficult day day a day after Mass pearon had taken the opening Sprint one of possibly two sprints on paper or would this be one where Riders would survive 25 km uphill to the finale lot of climbs the easiest either certainly when ridden by Bora hrow five Riders were up the road Bora were chasing most of the day with alai L Gregor murissa and cona the Breakaway Riders they’d had a gap of over 5 minutes at one stage a large gap by modern standards and it was down to just over 3 minutes with just under 35 K remaining with 10 km remaining the Gap at 30 seconds and after some fantastic work on the climb earlier on things had come down and that meant that Bruno armir would have a go to go alone several teams had worked K including a great turn from contan pasal and then it would be EF education post turn just under half a minute for Al of Deon with 10 km remaining s Bennett had been shelled from the group but Mar Bon amazingly was hanging on in the yellow Jersey one of the remaining if not the only remaining big Sprinter in the field Brun aray was dreaming though he had a gap of 16 seconds those dreams perhaps about to go hadn’t won since last August and then things Chang changed once again 7 and 1 half KS to go when Mar Bon was dropped just over the final climb of the day and then we had some attacks firstly from Mark [Music] Solair there’s a little bit of hesitation once he was caught with both Lov and Henley working really hard for RIT that hesitation gave a chance to the man out in front the Gap was up to 21 seconds 24 with less than three C to go Pearson did have a hint of getting back but he would be dropped and then that would be that over a minute back with 2.4 K to go Henley was emptying the tank vlasov would do the same Uno X Mobility sitting on the wheel and not contributing with 2ks to go the Gap at 20 seconds inside 300 M to go and alai still dreaming but out of the Mist appearing just about in time was what was left of the pelan 200 M to go and Alay was still in front 150 he was caught it was an early Sprint from Manus court and Uno X Mobility taking Victory out of the Mist over the line and into the yellow Jersey Manus cot neelson of unox Mobility his first win since joining the team and 27th of a stellar career Primo RIT was second Matel jensson up there in third place Delight then foro C his team hanging on waiting gambling and only moving inside the final kilometer they timed their assault to the line perfectly coming in four minutes down was Mar pearon a day in yellow a real big fight put up a hat tip to him for the effort put in this was a top 10 then caught RIT jorens with Chon and laso not far away turns Nuka champus gregar and Martin in the top 10 a yellow Jersey for Manus Nini another big career achievement after a win reminiscent of the one where he took the lead his jersey at the alto de Foya at the Vol all gar just over a year ago it’s a 4C lead over a resurgent Primo RIT Matel jensson in third at 6 seconds and good enough for him to pull on the white jersey arm’s consolation prize was the combativity prize he of course now is down in fourth on the GC stage three looks like this 181.50 km a longer one again and plenty more climbing over 3,000 M on the menu this time early climbs followed by a trip down the valley and a stage finale littered with second and third category climbs a finish at Liz right at the top of another Hill

hot take: hindley and vlasov should not be working for roglic because in paris nice vlasov was clearly better than roglic and i see hindley as better than vlasov
