Conquering the TOUGHEST Mountain Bike Track | Red Bull Hardline 2024

Red Bull Hardline, the world’s toughest mountain bike race, reaches its 10-year milestone in Wales. 35 of the best mountain bikers have gathered in Wales in preparation for this weekend final race.

The iconic downhill event will see a brand-new top section open up in 2024, challenging riders with an exposed, steep, and technical section of racing.

After Jess Blewitt’s legendary first appearance at Red Bull Hardline Wales in 2022, the event has now welcomed some of the world’s best female freeriders and racers to join the ranks of the rowdiest riders. This year, four women have completed some of the track’s most iconic features, including the Road Gap and On-Off. Those riders are Hannah Bergemann, Tahnee Seagrave, Cami Nogueira, and Vaea Verbeeck.

you got [Applause] it welcome to Red Bull Hardline 2024 the 10th anniversary of the toughest mountain bike downhill race on the entire planet and over those 10 years there has been some incredible memorable moments the first time I ever watched Hardline live Adam braon smoked a tree and then just got back on the bikon road off it was insane poor tree Adam looks okay the year they first hit the ’90s that was pretty sick to watch wo my scorpion flip on a personal level it was a wild one for other people on the same theme of crashes being stood next to burner’s enormous crash testing that 90ft double third place run was just po for and fast look at it stop it uh memorable moment at Red Bull Hardline was the first time uh they had a female in the event which was when just BL it came and it opened up the doors for a lot of other women so this is day one all the Riders are just turning up now so we’re going to have the course walk that we have every year but obviously this one’s different everyone’s looking at a brand new piece of track [Music] we’ve just got to the start and we’re about to uh walk the course it looks like there’s some new sections being put in right at the top there’s definitely some nerves and anxiety oh God oh God pretty spicy isn’t it it [Music] [Applause] looks we are at the end of the new section here for 2024 this basically the steepest Cliffs you’ve ever seen in a racetrack and lots of midies as you can see the midies are out in full force hence the net bro the track like yeah it’s looking insane super natural and techy looks like a proper race track up there and then back into the original track from last year obviously the most iconic feature is the road Gap doesn’t get any smaller none of the girls have done it yet I think I’ve be super inspired if somebody sent it first one of the girls before me so yeah we’ll see so stuck to be here with all the other girls I think that it would be impossible without them super Good Vibes we’re standing on the pre famous Road Gap just having a feel for it really trying to get comfortable cuz this is definitely a big goal for us none of the girls have hit it before we would love to get that one checked out even walk on it full day of practice today the first full day hopefully do the entire course yeah everyone’s buzzing I think if we can uh get that midsection ticked off [Music] [Applause] [Applause] it’s a bit of a mental battle cuz like it’s a big gap just got to convince yourself not to pop on just get all the speed on and get the full transition to pop off and it felt really smooth so happy with my mindset and I myself right now started at the step down we just session the next technical part the big onoff into the ’90s so I’ve just ticked off the onoff feels good I knew it was I knew I could do it but it’s pretty big and scary I’m scared of this I know WR in it [Applause] hell [Music] [Music] yeah boy that never gets old it is absolutely insane I don’t can ever beat that [Music] feelingly I had to swer Bren on the land like one between I went so deep on that that first night [Applause] this road G is literally in my mind every day year actually so I don’t know it looks doable but I’m super scared that was sick what’s going through your mind just visualizing trying to feel it so I’ve already done it in my head and then physically is easier good with [Music] B okay go [Applause] [Music] whoa that was good scary everybody was looking good so it’s like okay just trust and I trusted and it was fine so it’s all good I just going to go tell the girls that it’s fun thank you girls it’s it’s super chill you got it easy you got it [Applause] I need a little bit of a [Music] top the H that was so scary [Music] what the hell I’m so stoked this is the first run so we’re just going to look at lines and try to have a little feel of the terrain yes how many times you ridden this never First first girl in this section so just try not crash what’s going on Rob I’ve got a few in in there it’s amazing is it the the development of the track and the way it’s progressed is it’s mad to come here and see every year how much it changes the new upper section this is what red Bullard line is and Dan Aon he’s pulling it back to its roots back to super technical riding amazing to see as is that that is Bonkers that is nuts you have to go fast enough that it’s skipping over stuff so yeah medium speed he’s got a terrible person to tell him where to go but at least I’ve done it you know he followed me out the womb I don’t know if I can follow him down this track wow yeah it’s something for everyone to [Applause] imagine almost destroyed my humorous compliments to the DI crew full run oh yeah it’s a race we’re going to have to race a full run so um yeah like it’s all getting used to the track once you do a full run then it’s kind of a race then [Music] [Music] all [Music] course is looking good the Riders are all ready tune in for all the
