Why Tadej Pogačar’s BORING DOMINANCE Could Be OVER Soon

Without a doubt, Tadej Pogačar is currently the most dominant rider in the world of cycling, and there hasn’t been anyone like him for quite some time. He’s a risk taker, a natural-born entertainer and a rider who gets people glued to their screens whenever he races. But his domination has come to a point where many are starting to say cycling has become boring, due to the lack of competition for Pogačar. He’s winning pretty much any race he desires and, most of the time, truly can’t be stopped. But such control over the peloton is nothing new, and here’s why his dominance could soon come to an end, and we should enjoy it while we still can.

Pacha is currently the most dominant rider in the world of cycling and there hasn’t been anyone like him for quite some time he’s a risk-taker a natural-born Entertainer and a rider who gets people glued to their screens whenever he races but his domination has come to a point where many are starting to say cycling has become boring due to the lack of competition for paga he’s winning pretty much any race he desires and most of the time truly can’t be stopped but such control over the pelaton is nothing new and here’s why his dominance could soon come to an end and we should enjoy it while we still can and Before We Begin by no means are we trying to trash pagota here we’re just trying to give hope to those who are saying jro and the other races aren’t watchable anymore because it’s so obvious what the outcome with him in the race will be see to be completely honest the Slovenian tornado isn’t even close to being the first Rider to shine so much brighter than all his competition and having the authority he does sure he’s been successfully stopped at the tour to France the past two years by visma but outside of that he’s been a true monster and with just about every unfortunate thing on the list happening to Vima this season his dominance is now that more prominent in the past many riders have had similar periods of Supremacy from the great Eddie MKS to Lance Armstrong Bradley Wiggins and Chris FR and the list goes on and guess what at some point in their careers they were all called boring and if you know the sports history it’s easy to understand why they were also subjected to ridicule and in the cases of MKS and fr hateful abuse so for all those who have been calling pacha’s Jiro domination and his form then continuing into the 2024 tour to France boring there’s a quick little statement that will give you some hope this won’t last forever because it simply never does just look at last season the season where yumbo visma completely annihilated the entire pelaton and did a grand tour grand slam they were so dominant the staff were literally able to choose and debate which of their Superstars would win the wter it’s ridiculous how they weren’t debating winning strategies but rather picking who they’d like to win since all three could do it if given the green light and look at what’s happening to them now remember how yon’s vagor was deemed as invincible and absolutely unbeatable in the mountains pretty much set to become a tour to France machine and look at where he’s now the thing I’m trying to say is that in a sport like cycling things can change and they can change very fast all it takes is a bit of bad tarmac on a fast descent or a sudden gust of wind on a random afternoon and suddenly nothing is the same as it was especially after what happened last year at the C de lao’s it’s now pacha’s turn to show what he’s really made of isn’t it even before the Midway of this year’s jro ditalia pogacha was already talking about his mind being at the tour to frons and it seemed like the pink jersey was already his with the rest of the race being just a little more than a training ride for him and his team he said it’s in the back of my mind I don’t need to try and push too much over the limit to take time on the other guys and he was right but see that’s the thing about domination when it starts it’s impressive exciting and crazy with everyone bowing down to you with each and every pedal stroke then when it keeps happening and kind of becomes inevitable it just gets boring and people start trashing you for being too good that’s just how it goes in every sport not only in cycling it’s just so funny how a rider as likable as pagara can even be called boring but if he continues this season well and dominates the tour as strongly as he has been dominating the jro then the comments about him being boring are just unavoidable professional racing isn’t really a contest of popularity it’s rather a business where the participants are paid to win however it does help everyone in the process the audience the sponsors and the promoters if the champion is loved this trend is slowly starting to appear in women’s world tour racing as well with some individuals clearly being more dominant than the others kind of being the Tad pogacha of women’s cycling but the problem is that domination can backfire there were some crazy stories regarding that in the history of Pro Racing for example in 1930 the organizers of the Jiro were tired of Alfredo binder who had won the race four times they paid him 20,500 Italian L to not compete that year binder one of the greatest Road Racers ever came back in 1933 and won his last jro title jacqu antil who won five tour to France was also seen as boring to watch though his private life was anything but dull his rivalry with Raymond pulidor who was more relatable to the average person highlighted social stereotypes with the strict ank till overshadowing the Beloved poo poo maybe if the French public had known more about Ana Till’s interesting private life his love for binge drinking Fine Food and his unusual living arrangement they might have found his serious and focused racing style which earned him five yellow jerseys more exciting even Eddie Ms faced a downside of being a top cyclist when in 1975 a fan punched him on the preda doome climb MKS aiming for his sixth tour win probably thought the attacker was a Rowdy drunk but he was wrong the man was 55 a random dude who just didn’t like mk’s serious attitude and constant winning he said he was innocent but his punch was obviously intentional see these days if Riders get trolled it’s usually on social media back then though when there was no Twitter it was all hate letters and they had to employ an extra Postman just to deliver to Eddie’s mailbox this might be a joke but it’s sort of true as his road racing domination increased he got sacks of cruel blood curdling hate mail delivered to his doorstep on a constant basis after getting punched on the Pu MKS tired of the haters chose to take legal action it might have been better for him to forgive and forget make peace with the attacker smile and move on but instead he went to court he won the case but only got a small token amount of one Frank in Damages today though things are much different if people are saying mean things to you online you can make them stop by muting or blocking them and it’s clear that if Pacha keeps winning like he is now in July people will cheer for him but he’ll also face some booing and criticism which he does already anyways but some things are in his favor too nowadays cyclists mostly speak English not French so Pacha not speaking French won’t make fans not like him his fun personality young smile and of course his iconic hairstyle have made people really like him in Italy as well as all over the world he tries hard and gets people to like him more easily than for example the shy vagor pogacha also gets along well with French journalists which is more than can be said for Merks FR and Armstrong who never really had good relationships with them at their worst FR and his Sky Team were probably even less like than Armstrong they faced a lot of criticism and disrespect even to the point of people spitting at them this Behavior was so common that Sky team manager Dave brailford described it as a French cultural thing which is actually crazy when you think about it see FR for example wasn’t a champion that French fans liked much but paga on the other hand is different he takes risks and entertains people making him more relatable he’s not afraid to fail which makes him seem more human people remember his great victories but they also remember his biggest downfalls like on the cug granon in 2022 and the Cel lao’s in 2023 his Infamous I’m gone I’m dead comment on The NeverEnding celow which he made to his team car after being dropped by vagor and his visma Squad was in his own words one of the worst days of his life on the bike now with the unfortunate events that occurred at The Basque country paga is once again the best winning easily and overcoming every challenge it looks like he’s going to win the jro and he has a good chance at the tour too after a great spring paga seems like he can’t be beaten but things are never that easy fr’s career changed because of a gust of wind during a time trial practice and vagor got seriously hurt when he hit a rough road and went into a concrete drain we’re not trying to jinx anything just showcase how quickly things can change and with that in mind cycling can never be boring so what do you think is pacha’s dominance really as boring as it seems and does he need more competition let us know in the comments down below

    1. Mr. Watts, you have pointed out some correct points and facts about this topic, I like your views, well done. As I've said before on other Youtube channels with this same topic. The people complaining about cycling being boring; these people are cry babies and are obviously jealous and don't appreciate great talent. I agree with Mr. Watts that there has been many fantastic riders in the past and I'm sure many people didn't agree with those great riders. So I ignore these cry babies (except for writing this comment) If they find cycling boring then don't watch it. Maybe these people that think this are not pure cycling fans, they carry hate in them, they don't understand the sport. Enuf Said.

    2. I like Pogacar as a human being, he truly seems like a friendly, fun, down to earth guy. That being said, I really don't like Team UAE and I would really like for a tour like Il Giro to be more entertaining than it was this year. I don't find monstrous dominations entertaining and I don't think it helps the sport (any sport). Unfortunately, only Vuelta sounds like it'll be more fun, because of the Olympics.

    3. Sky and whatever with Armstrong, Froome, and Indurain were BORING beecause of they way the rode the races. Get a gap and sit on the wheel of the others the resto of the GT was what they did. Pogachar isn't boring

    4. Boring 🤷‍♂️.. which race did he win where anyone great participated? Didn’t win milano san remo, won LBL after MvdP lost his peak form and not really a race for his weight.. so name just ☝️

    5. So tired of people who give Armstrong a pass for his cheating, lying, destructive abuse of people who were calling him out for the POS he is. To include his name with the greats when he would have never finished higher than 100 in the YDF peleton if it wasnt for his cheating. The greatest American cyclist who was dominating and clean perhaps the greatest cyclist to strap on a bike if not for having the unfortunate hunting accident is who we should honor. Disgusting these people who post this crap.

    6. Boring is very true. I stopped watching the Giro because of it. The UAE and INEOS teams are definitely on the "Sauce". Don't believe me, watch Nove Mesto MTB this past Sunday. Both Ineos riders haven't raced MTB this year and dominated the field with ease. It's NONSENSE.

    7. Thanks for the cycling history on mercks..anquetil etc.pogi has great cycling challenges ahead…mvdp, wout, remco, jonas….but in my opinion he has the attitude and is not afraid

    8. As a danish Vingegaard fan, I love Pogacar. And he will never be boring. None of the current top riders are actually boring, him, Vingegaard, Van Aert and Van Der Poel all takes "strategic risks", which makes cykling the most exiting that it have been in years.

    9. i think, Pogi can do what vr46 did..he's not really leading the race for too long, but winning by tiny bit at the end for audience excitement. what people said about boring maybe because 30mnts to 40 mnts before the race was over, we knew that he would won the stage..it become boring..bottomline i think people love to see a fight and not dominance, in any sport..just my 2cents..

    10. Yes Pogi is dominating but it's anything but boring. Think about how Froomey won his Grand Tours, now that was boring. Pogi lights it up every chance he gets and it's always enjoyable.

    11. I remember Indurain winning Tour de France without winning a single stage. Just control. He even bragged with having 90 HR on flat stages in the peloton. No, a Pogacar who constantly does whatever he feels like is pure fun. Because you can feel he really has fun cycling.

    12. Why do previous riders who have been found guilty of doping, highly suspected of doping or gaming the TUE system continually be used as comparisons for current riders? Shouldn't cycling journalists look to distance comparisons to these riders.
