Halfway in is good. Not sure about you, but personally I love to wear a little cap under the helmet in fall/winter so you need a tiny bit of extra space.

Are the glasses touching the helmet? If so, that’ll probably start to annoy you very soon while riding less than ideal pavement/tarmac
