We’d finally made it to Greece! After 5 months, starting from France, we were now in the last country of the trip. I’ve always wanted to bicycle tour Greece since I went there as a kid, but I’d mainly been to the islands, never to the mainland. We entered into the country over the border in Macedonia Greece and Bulgaria. We climbed into the mountains above Serres for some sneaky stealth camping. Wildcamping in Greece was pretty easy, we keep a low profile and left no trace and luckily didn’t get found by anyway.
The next day we cruised down the Serres mountains to the city of Serres for some delicious Greek pastries for breakfast then made our way to the natural reserve where Lake Kerkini sits. The cycling was great and the lakes are beautiful.
The best part of our wildcamping and cycling through Greece was defo the sunsets!
