The Cervelo S5 is the Cervelo bike model most frequently used by Team Jumbo Visma. The top riders Wout van Aert, Jonas Vingegaard, Marianne Vos and Christophe LaPorte achieved countless victories with it.

With 480 points, Wout was 194 points ahead of his nearest rival – tangible proof that Cervélo continues to deliver aerodynamic improvements to our World Tour athletes. This score is the highest in the history of the Tour de France.

The new S5 has reduced drag by 65 grams while increasing the surface area of the frame and reducing overall weight. The deeper frame cut-outs maximize the shapes allowed by the new UCI regulations. At the same time, the iconic V-stem has been further refined and a new fork has been developed to simplify the entire cockpit.

The Cervelo S5 is now available in a limited edition “Grand Tour” paint finish. We were able to build one of the few frames with the brand new SRAM AXS groupset in our workshop. All detail with weights in the video.

  1. Yeah… that scale is not calibrated. as someone who owns the new S5 running the same set up with a 80gram lighter seatpost, 20gram heavier saddle and a 350gram lighter wheelset and that weights 7.148kg.

    This “weight” is so misleading

  2. What I like about these videos: not a single word necessary to comment what is done. Just pure state of the art craftsmanship with some contemplative music. For me, building (and fixing) bikes is a kind of meditation.

  3. That front end assembly still scares me a bit, but your vid takes most of the headache out of it; nice step by step. Many thanks! Once I finally get me wrenches on one all the question marks should be resolved. Great vid. A ton of info in less than 30 mins.
