Around the World cyclist Jenny Graham is joined by Ultra Endurance racer Lael Wilcox as they travel through the breathtaking landscapes of Iceland; beginning their journey at Thingvellir National Park, travelling South through Reykjadalur, and finishing their epic expedition at Grindavik.

Jenny and Lael experience the incredible power of this unique Island as they ride over 100 kilometres along the Continental Divide, traverse steaming rivers, and conclude their route at the base of an active volcano. Against stunning backdrops the duo explore how the Icelandic people have harnessed their natural resources to become one of the World’s leading self-sustaining energy producers.

    1. It’s difficult to put into words how much inspiration my wife and I have gained after watching so many GCN and GCN+ videos and documentaries. It started right after I joined GCN+ and we watched “The King & Beers”. I was already into gravel biking, but my wife was not. Within a week of watching that show, she was the proud owner of a new gravel bike…and we have done more than a few “Beer Rides”. We want to go ride “The Circle of Death” after watching Ruth and Tayler’s video. The three-part series “Slow Cycling” reminded us to sometime just go out for a ride and enjoy the sights and sounds without worrying about time and checkpoints and specific destinations. We’re already going to Iceland to participate in The Rift this summer, but after watching Jenny’s video about riding the western fjords, we have added two additional day to our trip, just so we can go do a of couple rides in that area of Iceland. And now this latest one about riding Iceland’s fault line will, without doubt, inspire us to give some of those “roads” a try as well while we’re there.
We have talked about where we want to go as a destination location to ride our bikes. So many fabulous GNC shows have really pushed us in the direction of the British Isles. Riding over there just looks like an absolute blast. Thank you, Si, Dan, Connor, Hank, Manon, Ollie, and Alex for putting on such a great program. To be honest, I cannot thank all of you at GCN enough for the enjoyable, educational, inspirational, and just plain stunning videos you provide. Seriously, you “guys” are just flat-out awesome…keep up the great work.

    2. There are times when the look on Lael's face is like a child when they walk in to FAO Schwartz for the first time. Priceless!🙂
