same end of the ground yesterday Phil foden was caught in a a similar position he went round the goalkeeper but ran out of room could kind of look caught between two minds there Marcus rash whether to have a touch or actually just try and punch it with his left foot into the bottom corner the ball kind of ended up in between commentary got it all wrong they were three against two Manchester United favor exactly what they want to avoid that long ball over the top especially when you you’re five at the back you switch off in that fullback [Applause] position worked it out well under a bit of till it came to the last piece in the jigsa not a very complicated jigsa either no the bll shouldn’t get there it’s a poor setup look at the space from the penalty spot out to the edge of the 18 yd box you can’t have that kind of freedom a player like gacho’s ability yes it’s a tough ball to hit and he cuts right across it and it’s not on target but bit of a warning shot for commentary you can’t drop all your bodies into that sixy box area that cup final that inspired you back in 1987 commentary reached along the way by winning at Old Trafford the same Keith hatchin who scored in the final got a very scrambly goal was enough to knock United out [Applause] so it wasn’t as good as his diving header in the final though wasn’t worth reliving that I think for him it probably was there an expression they all count and that certainly did Count here’s Bidwell tomin there misunderstanding by kitching he’s gone to try and sort out his own mistake the help of Ben Chief they G mat on the of the way through the game if it finishes in 90 minutes Momin Nao back on his feet hard and low and Manchester United have taken the lead and at very close range Scott momy couldn’t miss he set the ball rolling against Liverpool and he’s done the same here at Wembley it had been coming mats absolutely Martin really have been coming commentry not really in the game in terms of posing a threat or having the ball even and Manchester United well really comfortable in possession is that man who has just got a goal scoring touch this season I mean defensive Midfield player he used to be now he’s looking more like a number 10 he just gets in the right position it’s a lovely delivery in from Doo that Gully that you want to hit between the retreating Defenders and the goalkeeper he’s right there you’ve got about a 6yd area and he just bangs the ball in there Collins comes out to block it but M dominate with the simplest of tappings they playing like a number 10 that’s number 10 of his goal tally for this season and he is one who’s I wouldn’t say inconspicuously but he’s worked his way up the ranks the former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho actually created an award to give Scott momy when he was a young player the manager player of the Season well that says a lot that says a lot about his character I also think inter International football for Scotland has really elevated him Martin and it’s it’s given him the freedom to play these different roles as well which Manchester United maybe wouldn’t have played him in first shot on target but it had to be on target from there yeah but look at the attempt what a cross as well yeah great move lovely interchange of passing but centry with three center backs somebody has to tie in and deal with that cross better well here’s hair Wright looking for support they looking for support he was dispossessed and uh there wasn’t any thinking time I’m afraid no it was a bit of a gamble to go to ground from was it casemiro with the tackle yeah yeah but when you time it right and you win the ball it looks good and it was a good tackle from casemiro he had the the luxury of a recovering defender of Juan Baka right next to him so he went for the ball and he won it yeah ohare I think it was a made a good run down the left hand side of right but he couldn’t get the ball casemiro was in the way anyway here is Dow now casmiro is a strolling player today but he can put put up the barricades and comve got to try and find a way around him now Momin here’s [Applause] rashford Maguire it’s relax Manchester United a little bit although they had the ball they were maybe a bit tense at times trying to force it and rashford trying to Weave Away through whole pack of sky blue Defenders Fernandez tomin trying to maybe return the compliment for Dow was making a good burst from right back rashford from the left all hands to the pump for centry City vanik is having a lot of work to do on this right hand side at right wing back maybe a little bit surprised he set up with a back three actually I just felt maybe this was the time to really take the game to Manchester United they’re not quite at full strength certainly at the back and they’ve ended up sitting really deep haven’t they not not actually getting out and applying much pressure to United well in their one FA Cup Final they went a go down down in the first or second minute to Clive Allen who often sits in the seat you’re occupying here Matt I think was Clive’s 49th goal of a a wonderful season but he ended up with an FA Cup losers medal so bounce back ability commentary of this generation have got to try and show it [Applause] now here’s Maguire [Applause] I had the experience on that day of traveling to Wembley in the Tottenham hbur team bus which was something that happened in television in the day yeah I didn’t go back on the bus I can tell you that you avoided it well I think they avoided me I think I was seen as a lucky charm but yeah we interviewed live from the coach on its way to Wembley was a great honor to be allowed to do that I didn’t take my boots here gacho United looking to strike again and uh no surprise that Momin was in there again well even with the wing backs who should be able to really get tight to rashford and gar ATO when that switch of play happens they’ve got time to go at them in the box that that kind of distance isn’t quite right they’ve got to get tighter you got your three center backs certainly Bidwell and vanag have to go out and get closer to the Y play don’t allow them that space to take a run at them and then drop a shoulder and get across him because you’re talking about two really good players in garnacho in [Applause] rashford this is the first FA Cup meeting between the two clubs since that fourth round in 1987 hav met in the leag since relegation in 2001 uh lost the old tra John harson was playing for them he’s someone we’ve seen here today Mayu [Applause] still Manchester United you sense really fancying this now but nobody going in on a bit of a loopy cross that uh was just too high for Rasmus [Applause] [Music] [Applause] hland it’s not sticking at all is it every time the ball goes forward certainly from the goalkeeper or any long pass it’s Manchester United that come out with the ball yeah for 20 minutes it looked as though the defensive part of the plan was okay yeah um but the we got to hold the ball up find a way out find an outlet you have to which should be part of that that wasn’t working hasn’t worked now they’ve got to try and summon the uh the belief I wouldn’t think Mar Robins at one nil would want to change it but no I think you’ll see it into halim hopefully not concede another and then have a little regroup and and see how you want to go about it but sooner or later they going have to be a little bit more [Applause] expansive tenh har has had to deal with constant questioning about his own future about the ownership of the club about whether the dressing room is Happy fa a cup win you would think of course a semi-final is not going to come into that category but actually winning the trophy would buy him some more time even very patient with the media here’s his fellow Countryman benik making a bit of good ground for the opposition centry [Applause] city right but uh T that having got there well took a bit of a risk comes in towards Sims is strong in the box and holding the ball up C get a free kick and this does represent a little bit of a chance at least a shooting chance they’ve got bodies forward haven’t they they got you’re Manchester United’s goalkeeper you are under greater scrutiny it’s not been the perfect season for him but he’s Justified his place from time to time with some brilliant contributions Josh Eckles can’t get forward he’s come through the ranks of Coventry Local [Applause] boy and there’s Steve AG grizovic the goalkeeper in the cup winning team of 1987 Auggie hugely popular figure not just in commentary but in football I remember him so well St grizovic what a goalkeeper he scored a goal didn’t he with a clearance in that’s right top division game and here’s gacho Collins aware that his momentum was going to take him out of the penalty area and might have had his ball the ball in his hands the commentary nearly un unstuck again with that long ball over the top just the timing of the run from gach I mean you’re dealing with good play that will come short and time that running behind but you have to be aware of that you got the extra Center back in that position can’t be that easy just to get over the top well they’ve come up with a variation haven’t they Manchester United whether it was out of necessity because the short inter playay in that attacking thir wasn’t really producing shots on goal then suddenly casmiro started proce juice from the back and others have followed and it’s now giving centry a bit of a conundrum yeah it is I mean they probably wouldn’t have expected to be able to hit that pass but it is on Chief mat boder SP at Swansea after leaving Manchester City I mean chief and eckel have barely touched the ball in the middle of the par for commentary have they they’ve had no opportunity for any kind of build that play getting the ball off the back three or playing through into the front it’s just not happened so far I think C MO is just s ging to the batl on the lines of well why don’t you give it into my feet yeah he’s got to belief in it they have to have the ball there’s a little look at the goal look at the cross in there lovely delivery and like good goal scorers do they take up good positions and that back post is a favorite usually get a tap in if nobody touches it on the way through do you think Rasmus hland was saying that should have been me I thought it was holand for a moment there’s similarity yeah there is not that I ever found myself at the back post for a taed m unfortunately I’ve seen you score goals in a world cup so you don’t be too modest not only seen you I was actually commentating shouting your name yeah [Applause] sometimes the second goal is the harder harder one to get and uh if you offered probably commentary at say 70 minutes One n down they probably accepted that at the start but they take it long way to go before we get there about half of [Applause] that forward by B I can well there was half a chance of squeezing it into Sims haven’t really seen Ellis Sims acceleration which is impressive yeah just a little wind of opportunity there just to lift that ball over the top wasn’t to see it and casemiro again pretty decisive with his tackling Chief did have a game in Arsenal’s first team did his learning of the trade the north London [Applause] Club in the end Bobby Thomas has to play it back py bodia [Applause] Collins jeez that’s better commentary that’s no want to play through the lines and maybe catch Manchester United out and get out the back line the next pass wasn’t good enough and now they’ve got a Chase back because Bruno Fernandez for a moment sensed opportunity and then he slowed it down a little bit the man united fans aren’t too happy with that I mean he really slowed it down didn’t he almost to say all right I’ll just wait let everyone get back in I think he was kitching with the pass out wide I mean that Center back position found himself in the Midfield spare which is they’re going to have to do that to get on the ball but there was so much space wasn’t there once they got the one or two passes off it just opened up for [Applause] centry casemiro and Bruno Fernandez offering the ball over the top of the Run for the ball over the top and Bruno just suggested to him why didn’t you play [Applause] it it can get a little bit upset if things don’t go quite according to his plans but he I haven’t seen that Martin no am I doing him a brave disservice he’s lost out here but suppose he cares nothing wrong with that here’s Sims packed up by Eckles stay in it comry City this is bit more promising and Josh Eckles breaks the line here putting it across towards Sims coming and that’s the best from commentary by a country mile here’s Thomas right and Sims that’s the the deadly they hope well that’s what I was expecting to see from commentry bit more of that brilliant play driving run from Eckles and look at this piece of Defending here from darlo that’s super play great right back position tucked in knowing his team’s in danger that is a fantastic tackle nearly on the goal line seems certain to score the doo in a great position seems two against wolves three against the national league Southside Maidstone United who eliminated the profile of non-league football to amongst the bigger boys knocked out IP switch you might recall here’s rashford no stranger to Wembley Club and for Country Momin that’s not enough on that and that still wants it from casmiro has other ideas Dall gacho had a bit of apologizing to do to his manager more on that in a [Applause] moment rashford that’s goalkeeper B gacho was substituted at halim at Bournemouth the United’s last game and there was some criticism on social media which he joined to by liking it and um you can’t keep those things quiet uh it is telling off and the matter is closed there’s not much you can really hide from there is there are you talking about in life generally I’m talking on social media all right you’re going to like it it’s out there isn’t it it is yeah yeah you can’t take it back [Applause] here is man we talking about Alejandro [Applause] gacho vasaka [Applause] gacho toog might just think his side having got the goal haven’t quite made the most of it obviously they’re out passing commentary pretty much 3 to one but last passage of play driven forward by Echo and Sims close to Ling it up well a reminder to Manchester United that the job is not done yet it’s the second best opening of the game wasn’t it so that’s all you need to know that’s all commentary need to hang on to but it came from them being a little bit more confident a little bit more buy with the [Applause] ball that’s hland oh it’s almost Stray by Eckles or enough teammates around to mop it up they’re having the ball more Martin I will say centry they’ve just almost found a little system where it’s like I think the three center backs were a bit panicky with the ball first 20 minutes or so no one was getting hold of it and now just calm down use the Midfield players build up a little bit yeah halim might just come a bit too soon for them there looking as though they’ve got some influence on proceedings here’s Wright who played in the World Cup for the USA and [Applause] Kata Chief’s getting more on the ball hair’s getting a bit more of the ball we saw that burst from Eckles such was Manchester United’s domination in the first 20 minutes she really thought this might be going to a feel like status but uh been better from centry and they haven’t conceded again I think Bidwell was the better pass then he was the left wing back in a wider position that ball over the top there’s too straight skipping on into Anana easily but these commentary are in the mindset of we can get forward get the wing backs up the pitch get the ball into the front Wright started to see a little bit more of it have to find a way of getting those players into the game d Bruno Fernandez might be an offside here but the flag has stayed down of course he’s an ation Manchester United play on oh boy did they play on and it’s the corner the flag hasn’t gone up great hit by rashford it’s another simple ball over the top that develops the chance in the moment Mar Marcus rashford’s coming onto that you know he’s hitting the target he’s super from this kind of range he’s got that lovely technique where he kind of knuckle balls it it’s a really good save actually plenty of power on that hit it’s a strong hand from Collins Cristiano Ronaldo Techni very much so good save by Brad Collins this is a big moment you feel for centry if they ship a second here on the stroke of halftime guire so dangerous in the air there he is so dangerous in the air Harry MaGuire and it is 2-0 and we’re still ticking on to the end of the first half and that’s a big set back for centry but a great moment of impetus for Manchester United I think you can put shirt took shirt off here what a game that was it certainly was and this Grand competition some fundamental changes announced which have caused some debate in this country over the last couple of days holding his ground though Martin do you know what I mean yeah and I think if he gets enough of his upper body if he’s just using the arm and the arms outstretched I think it does look and feel different but it was his whole upper body more defending to be done here and it’s swept in by Sims so comry do get a goal and Ellis Sims with 20 minutes left Mark Robbins a great goal scorer himself as a player has brought one here to the Sky Blues the former Everton man has a good finish great finish and it’s that right hand side again for centry it’s been a problem for Manchester United since tarez has come on he’s really featuring is his delivery into the box it bounces I mean it’s really poor defending casemiro hasn’t got across at all Harry MaGuire is out of position look at the space feel comfortable Erikson hasn’t played much Maguire hasn’t played much recently tomin is only just back from injury and they are attacking the end that’s all sky blue but Bradley Collins to sweep that Coventry Sims in particular he trying to find his a great partner this season had you right minutes of additional time will be played six minutes for a sixth goal in the game and it could come at the other end the tackle really well Ed tackle had to get that right sh here’s tarez still going Sims was right and he probably would have been offside but rght was in a better position yeah just didn’t make his run quick enough wasn’t sharp enough was bright enough to get across the face of darlo he’s got to really gamble not be hesitant you know you not got time for that just get across the face of the defender the ball comes in you’re there rashford may be just making the most of this was a really well-timed tackle then sheath gets up and plays a brilliant forward pass but I think rashford knows that breaking the game up a little bit here might be the sensible thing to do there’s that opportunity again on the flanks in behind Juan basaka this is the movement it’s too slow for right to get across he’s in that danger area is where he needs to be yeah he was thinking of the space he needed to be in front of the defender ex exactly don’t pull out in that space get across the front of it as Defenders that is your hardest thing to deal with at that moment well suddenly There’s Hope suddenly visiting Wembley even in defeat will be very memorable but it’s not defeat yet in by oare it’s Erikson who has to steer it away Tor gets it back Cross by right they’re lining up at the far post as a shout for hand ball is a penalty in the 93rd minute hand ball given against Aaron Juan visaka the arm is out Matt hson penalty it’s not going to be overruled Martin the arm is far enough out for the referee to to make that call it is not a clear and obvious error it can be debated all day long and there’ll be different views but that is not a decision that V I believe will overturn because the arm is there it’s in that position is it by side relatively but it’s outstretched a little bit and he’s making himself bigger to stop that ball coming back across the goal I think that’s the key point the silhouette is bigger and not allowing that ball in a really dangerous area to get back across the goal I mean can you believe it it’s incredible stuff here that’s still being reviewed Manchester United having their say it’s a big call for V to get involved it’s an onfield penalty absolutely an onfield penalty which for me Isn’t a clearing and obvious error and it’s a penalty and well I saw Hai wght take one of the worst penalties of the Season at Southampton 10 days or so ago he kicked with his right foot onto his left foot really and of course that was a free kick in the the ball didn’t go in the net so he’s full of Confidence from the spot it’s amazing he’s going too wide I what more are we going to say about this game it’s really opened up in this second half this one Dio never really looking like he’s going to hit the target but the game two in and throwing at the moment well we know what they’re wishing for there’s Midland’s Pride here against the might of Manchester whatever happens Mark Robbins has added to his managerial reputation I do feel there’s certain English coaches in that particular envelope we’re only going to get into the Premier League if they take a team there here’s right can Sims pivot here he can oh flick back by aare into the side netting well Bruno Fernandez almost the same part of the goal and ell Sims locates it I mean that’s incredible really good play from Ericson to stop the initial shot but then the hit on the turn from Sims is a big appeal that the ball’s gone over the line but I don’t think it has as it hits the crossbar spins down and it’s probably about a foot short of going over the line but great hit from [Applause] Sims here’s Anthony no one’s thinking about penalties at the moment unless Anthony can win one within extra time hand ball forson just got underneath it got the the power they did look hand ball on the control before that have been a an interesting one if this this had hit the back of the net nice strike really cleanly hit but just always Rising another look at that one how close it is to go over the line maybe a slight touch from Onana the ball spins away off the crossbar they’re watching it from a long way away yeah it looked over to them yeah well he’s lived up to the billing the guessing game tries to read intention of Christian Erikson who does the job with a minimum of fuss I must say yeah Collins waiting again in the middle of the goal almost thinking perhaps he’s going to go straight I’ll just stay big and not really commit but he would have had to commit to have saved that one lovely penalty in the corner up comes C moare who plays with bravado [Applause] and makes the walk from the halfway line with an air of confidence that’s showing that is one thing delivering with it is uh another matter all together ohare for centry and Anana saves it so we’re one failure a piece now athletic the United goalkeeper that’s a great save I’m not sure hair does too much wrong he just anticipates it Anana it’s a decent height but he really does get across early and quickly made the save look comfortable but it was really sharp goalkeeping well just a reminder that Manchester United have plenty of big guns still on the pitch casmiro and Erics and D of course as well International player and Bruno Fernandez now who so rarely fails from the penalty spot and makes it look ridiculously easy well that is how to stroke one home looking casual but very very shootout he’s already got one in the match but we saw that with Emmy Martinez in the week so it’s Ben Chief oh he’s missed it sorry for him a kick to win it wow the pressure is just built on the last two penalties and sheath doesn’t get his upper body over the ball enough look of Despair after the strike he strikes it cleanly but just leaning back a fraction eases the ball over the crossbar well this is going to go down well in Denmark isn’t it because torf had the goal disallowed Erikson’s taken a penalty and now Hyland’s going to take one Dorp of course scored his as well but that looks in vain now Rasmus holand to put Manchester United into fining now I think Collins has got a yellow card as [Applause] well this can win it and it does and United will play City it’s a Manchester FA Cup Final again for the second season in a row but they’ve had to do it the hard way some would say they’ve been a bit fortunate to do it the way it’s happened the technology which is part of the game we have to accept that stopped Eric tenh hard’s team from being beaten with the very last Touch of extra time but the shootout now has gone Manchester United’s way after a wonderful game United win 4-2 on penalties after the 33 draw

What about the technical margin of error involved in the VAR computers drawing that line? What they present to us is not a picture of reality, but their picture made from their calculations, which have to involve a small but calculable error.
