Wow, the RideLondon 2024 event was such great fun! This was my first time taking part and I cannot stress how good it was.

Being a closed road event was the main selling point for me as it’s a bit of a journey down from Leeds just for it but I’m totally signing up for the 2025 edition.

Did you take part in the event and have any tips to share for future participants? Let me know down below!

Shout outs go to the legend DJ Spoony who I met several times throughout the day and also a guy called Stacey who put a massive turn in when heading back into London – safe riding guys!

good morning from very very cold and wet half for Cher location today we’re on our way down to London for the ride London event it is chucking it down I’m not looking forward to it got the bellat to on already I’m really cold I mean it is like half 4 in the morning but post a warm up later on with some showers just see how it goes here he is how you feeling I’m not sure about this yeah we’ve got a rain jacket on several layers shorts and yeah starting to regret not even having my hat so Joe’s let me one of his hats I do know what one want so yeah we’re just going to head down uh to the edge of London get a train into Liverpool Street then right across town to the start and just hope that it starts to dry up at some point [Music] we just made it down to chant ready for the train um it’s about 6:00 a.m. heading to Liverpool Street and then we’re going to ride across London to embankment is it to the mall to the mall even yeah where the start point is it’s still chucking down although slightly skies are changing a little bit Yeah if you enjoying the cont content I’m doing please do subscribe to the channel uh throw me a like drop a comment below just approaching the start line now the weather’s starting to pick up a little bit still wet on the ground but um temperatures getting a bit nicer it’s rammed as well there so many riders out just look water really um ticking this off now getting it done and hopefully drying off at sometime we’re just by the start line now having a quick Comfort break and we’re going to be hitting the road the weather is starting to look better so fingers crossed it’s in our favor here’s a little preview of today three or four feed stations I’m starving now I’ve only had two bananas and a Belita soft bake bar really really need a coffee as well not even found it anywhere yet to get one from so yeah let’s go head to the start line and I’ll check in soon [Music] [Applause] we finally got some warm on the is dogs tunnel is that what it’s called Uh limouse limouse got under the TS now coming back out just about 10 miles in now and this is just crazy ride down the wrong side of the road jumping red lights cuz it’s all closed roads it’s just absolute Bliss just of ride of no aggressive car drivers or people shouting stuff at you as you go past it’s the road is just full of riders everywhere I need to stop and get some food cuz I’m feeling prettyy sick I’ve only had like two bananas today about 4:00 a.m. I think just couldn’t be stuffing porridge at that time of day you know so going to stop on me see Shop try and go toilet again get some snacks and push on to the first feed at 25 miles we made it so the first feed at epin met DJ spoony um was a huge fan of his growing up as teenagers we yeah you listen to the Dream Team all their mixtapes and stuff he’s got a really really sick Ribble um I’ve lost him now so you can’t see [Applause] it time to S on some Wheels now see what this takes us about 30 m in it’s just flying past so good so we’ve just had to stop the ride again uh it’s been a crash quite serious on by this the entire ride is backed up now set away for it to clear and was actually guy a bit further back he apparently got hit by deer they run out on the road and I’ve seen one other guy covered in mud where he must have just gone off the roadside into a ditch somewhere Z is going right so far 43 miles in um 19.3 average mile hour so we’re just flying along how you feeling Joe yeah not too bad is it feeling good yeah so far so good yeah almost halfway it’s going really quick actually so be back in London in no time hopefully once we get [Applause] rolling Boon how you go good yeah good man so the third bead 52 m in still feeling good holding a good average speed uh, 1500 calories burnt so I try and put some more food in me now if I can I think we’re now going to be on the return Lake to London we right back to London now I’ve lost Joe somewhere so just going to put a turn in by myself probably see the next speed station Sun’s kind of out but still looks like it might rain anytime soon we just keep pushing on see how we go [Music] a [Music] a [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] w [Music] [Music] ah [Music] [Music] [Music] n [Music] [Applause] [Music] he [Music] w [Music] [Applause] [Music] here the finish here we are oh so windy as well we made it see [Music] very here’s the Finish medal tell you are it’s right chunky thing really well made it’s nice actually get metal as well a lot of events are doing wooden medals these days so so yeah definitely one to keep now there’s just bodies everywhere still waiting for Joe to turn up I don’t know what’s happened to him I left him at um maybe 60 65 miles just I went full gas all the way back so I’ll give him a little while and phone him up maybe so yeah next on the agenda is to just find a beer and some food I think and then um start making a way back to harer so thanks for watching as usual uh make sure sure you do subscribe like and comment let me know what you thought about today if you did it as well see you soon
