Day 2 of the Hercules Bike tour in the Peloponnese of Greece. This day saw me cycling from Corinth to Nafplion, with a stop at the archaeological site of Mycenae along the way.
Mycenae is a remarkable hill fort, and was once the centre of a powerful empire which traded all around the Mediterranean. Although not directly linked with the Hercules 12 Labours myth, he did serve the King of the Kingdom of Mycenae, although his city was in Tyrins.
Note – I mentioned the Treasury of Artemis. I was wrong, it should be –
Treasury of Atreus
After visiting the site, I continued cycling on to Nafplion on the coast. About a 70kms day’s cycle ride in the end.

Hi Dave, loving your vids as usual, much better quality, this your new GoPro?
What about the breakfast? Continuity lapse there. Why not film breakfast?
I am being picky here but could you give yourself an editing pause at the end of each piece to camera, to give your self some editing space. But as usual I am enjoying your travels.
Hi David, Did this route in 1970,Tiryns and Mycenae are on the route. Not bad, flat and breezy I remember. Not much traffic must be murder now! I think we took two days taking it easy on old bikes (not mountain!) from Liverpool Street Market London we brought with us. Did Athens to Corinth in one day with a half hour break in Megara. Did Athens-Sounion-Marathon-Athens, a god circular tour about two days long. Did Nafplion, down coast to Leonidian, then up into mountains to Kosma, back down to Sparta! After that just out bikes on top of local buses until Patras/Corfu via Olympia. I was 18 then and up for it. David, I take ny hat off to you for tackling it now! From another David. Thanks and god luck.
