Cycle touring
so I’m arriving it to Bosnia checkpoint and this will be my country 14 and M not sure what you expected pausing yeah here’s the negative stuff the war and everything but I’m looking forward to we’re experiencing the the people and the countryside the weather continues to be good so yeah let’s see what Bosnia does by now so I’m in my first Bosnian town and they have some guy here with three heads some guy with a big mustache that’s a good start I might go and get a kebab [Music] along the roads in Bosnia and Serbia so many of these monumental oils to people who had died and then normally young lads this was like this lads 19 so many people so many monuments long the roadside scary to see how many accidents actually are here and yet the roads are quiet and peaceful it’s just kids going too fast I guess yeah evening anything I’ve just set up camp them yeah besides a large like a television warehouse place and the guy the owner came out see what might what am i doing explaining what I’m doing camping here because it’s getting dark and then he’s there brought me out to some sort of like a kebab sausage meat Bosnian delicacy so you see when I finish this and go around for a coffee so Bosnia has been wonderful my first day here and what oh what a wonderful place is the people are so much friendlier compared to Serbia and I’ve had more hellos and waves and shouts of encouragement I think there are shouts of encouragement but yeah but just a good vibe everyone’s happier here so I’m somewhere eat my food and go have a coffee speech you later [Applause] one of the things are being a little bit paranoid about coming to the Balkans is land mines and not seeing anything about them since I arrived until today this whole area is sectioned off so I don’t know this area’s being checked or going to be checked yeah so first my first land mines sign be scary really I won’t be camping here tonight [Music] fifteen kilometers of downhill love in these hills so I’ve just arrived at say a Ville and I’ve just checked into hostel Massimo in the center of there say hey voo and for 20 euros I’ve booked a single single room a twin room with my own bathroom and toilet and bunk beds so nice a nice change from a tent my own little shower room which is my idea of heaven conditioning it has a bike storage facility but perhaps the best thing about it it has a tented drying facility which is very very clever very unique and I’m very grateful for that so yeah 20 20 euros and I’m gonna spend a couple of hours in the shower and try my sleep make myself look beautiful again because I’m desperate need for a makeover better start [Music] morning so I have AB left so Ava this morning great place quite quirky quite unusual bit different really liked it quite cheap quite cheap place to visit so I left there this morning and I’ve done about 35 kilometers and I’ve climbed about 500 meters into this little hilltop village and had lunch and now I’m gonna continue to muster about another 100 kilometres I should get there tomorrow and in Mostar there’s something that I’m really really looking forward to seeing there’s a bridge she’s like a famous Turkish bridge about five hundred years old but there’s something else I really want to see so hopefully I’ll be able to show you that later so yeah I’m gonna crack on and head down into a monster and a speech you later bye now I’ve got a new friend a new dog friend it’s the first dog hasn’t chased me in Bosnia I’ve got the weirdest looking eyes but you’re normally they’re savages normally evil this one’s pretty tame or in might because I’ve got a big packet of biscuits sat next to me a biscuit biscuit better feed him well a lot of climbing today I don’t know I’ve lost track it’s hard work [Music] these toes are really scary this one’s only 400 meters it’s gonna be a fast for me fast as I can pedal so in mu star and this is the famous bridge where everyone goes and looks at some people jump off so yeah muster I mean most are in central Bosnia and this is what I really wanted to see it’s Bruce Lee who was a cult figure in the Yugoslavian yoga Slavia and now they have a lifestyle life size statue Oh Bruce in Bosnia Judith or fantastic cycling route zero Dubrovnik 141 kilometers I may continue along the cero trail it’s pretty difficult in places this track but the scenery is spectacular and it’s well worth it if you get a chance coming to the co-chair serial trail in Bosnia speech you later bye [Music] good morning I left my Red Door hostel him to binge earlier I’m almost at the border for Montenegro I told the receptionist my route she said then that route is for four goats only and maybe maybe stupid Englishman listening okay there always been smooth it’s about normally about eight nine percent so it’s being doable but their boss he’s been great what a great place I would definitely come back here epic epic scenery nice people yeah quite reasonable priced yes a great definitely come back here and the Sun just keeps shining every day just about so yeah fantastic Bosnia’s fantastic love
