Many drivers of luxurious cars think that the laws don't count for them, and that THEY should be entitled to do the things for which "ordinary" people get fined.
Keep up the good work. As a motorbike man I think these people are ignorant or low in IQ. I live near a city that is lost to our culture where no one follows British law as its not their law. Nothing is been done about it.
Phone addiction is real. People are stuck in traffic and without thinking they reach for their pacifier/phone. I bet most of them weren't even thinking of anything specific, it's just a reflex.

I never have anything to do with my phone while I'm driving, i just mute it and put it on the passenger seat or centre console, nice to get a break from phones, computers etc.

American here; doesn't disqualification=suspended license? If so at least here in the US, that's a huge bump in most states and municipalities. A traffic ticket is a "moving violation" ie only a ticketable offense. Driving without a license or even worse driving while your license is suspended is an offence subject to arrest and can result in jail time. Is it the same there?
It should be a 12mth ban and resit your test for the first offence and if you're caught again because you're too stupid to learn, then it should be a 3yrs ban and resit your test, plus a public flogging.

There's been no logbook issued since 2020, and the car is currently taxed, so unless the car doesn't belong to him, he's back on the road.
