Pedal 4 Jack Part 2.
In. This part I leave Aberdeen Fc at Pittodrie stadium. Head down towards Dundee FC in Dundee. Rest for the night and then travel from Dundee to Perth for St Johnstone FC and then complete the days riding finishing at Easter Road Edinburgh home of Hibs FC

See you in Dundee so about an hour and a half in or something. It was slow getting out of Aberdeen and the garmin wanted to keep sending me back to Aberdeen. I had to cancel the route a couple of times to try and get the sync properly and then uh basically it’s been a route along this a92 which is just garbage right it’s boring as sin and it’s horrible and the cycle path fair enough! up to about a mile ago and then just turned into this crap and I’ve not got my gravel bike so try my best not to fall over but I failed that’s about it baa so I’ve just got under 50 miles to go. Painfully slow which I expected today because the wind is right in my face. So I’m just turning my pedals and I’ll get there when I get there I think I might take another 4 hours from here to be honest. Hey ho… But I’ll tell you, don’t come to Aberdeenshire it is grim. Sorry Aberdeenshire people but you probably know that yourself! Right I didn’t get a chance to do this last night cos there was a game on. So we arrived last night arrived down from Aberdeen into Dundee the city of discovery famous actor Brian Cox I fing love it I love it Brian Cox there we impression for you. and um basically Dundee a wee Club in the SPL they win it once in 62 got to the European Cup semifinal in 63 and since then been utter shite. So I’m going to make my way now down to Edinburgh the capital city of Scotland and the world and I will stop by Perth. So this is going to be a tough one um a bit windy today, should be dry though so that’s a bonus. The clubs will start to come thick and fast now to so we’ll be leaving dundee actually over there is Dundee United the two closest stadiums of the UK see you soon so I’m an hour in just over 10 m done takes a bit of time get out the city of those I’ve noticed done da heading down into Perth I won be long till there I already stopped to take my snood off and my cap Looked like I was about to go a hijacking or something so the sun’s came out it’s still too windy still coming in my face just now for me to truly enjoy it but the landscape is changing uh I’m moving into one of my favorite parts of Scotland in Perthshire uh beautiful scenery great me towns and some amazing cycling up here as well so happy days we’ll be in Perth St Johnson FC next in a few more miles maybe 10 15 miles shouldn’t take me too long so first day where there’s a multi Stadium day so we left Dundee this morning straight into the wind 10 half miles perhour really slow who cares uh as what it is now St Johstone basically they have eh, Ally McCoist played with them. they won the cup a couple of times won two cups in one season which is quite good for a provincial Club in Scotland currently struggling a we bit in the bottom half um t decent Stadium I’ve been this one been to dundee as well been this one um for a cup game we actually beat them two nothing "Mon the "Well!" so next stop will be hibs um so rest of the journey over the and through five over the hills down to the bridge and then hopefully this wind will be behind me as I travel east one thing I forgot to mention was my best man and mate actually was a youth here at St Johnson um very promising uh for for his kind of standard you know but unfortunately get called into the office by the manager for a knee problem uh manager with a thick accent said Can I see you about your your knee problem and Derek said I don’t have a I don’t have a knee problem and the manager said well you’re NEE going to make it pal your [ __ ] so we got one last climb of the day to do [Music] it I’ve been battered by the wind again today and it just totally fatigues you uh so I’ve stopped here at this wee village of Milnahort before I do this climb. Tel l tale sign right when your tired you just buy loads of sugary stuff get a gel to go as well but once over this climb its then down to the water and uh into Edinburgh nearly there. Come on! hey Jack so that’s us we’re at the old Hibs play them on saturday for the final place in the top six if that means anything. So Dundee to Edinburgh that’s 4 days done um I’m not going to lie I’m starting to feel it a weebit but hey ho we need to keep going um interesting fact about hibs um what can be said that’s never been said about Hibs before anyway the the opposite of imposter syndrome I would suggest Hibs think they’re a big Club but um history will tell you otherwise to be fair they’ve got a good fan base um and obviously big rivalry with their uh with hearts nevertheless they’ll play us on Saturday uh I’ll see you all again I’m going to try and to find out how long this took me
