Purchased a rapha pro team gilet. Have lots of stuff from them and medium fits me perfectly for everything road related. I sometimes even go large for my mountain biking gear. I am roughly 6’1” and 170lbs.

The product is great other than the one huge issue that drives me nuts is it flaps super loudly at speed on the shoulders no matter what I do with other layers/pulling down. I tried to take it to a seamstress but they mentioned everything was sealed and they couldn’t help.

I looked on the reviews and others mentioned the same issue.

Does anyone have any recommendations on solving this or should i just live with it. Thanks in advance! And sorry for crummy pics.

I have an older version of their gilet (the one with back pockets) and it does the same thing. Gilets are generally flappy, imo. If you insist on wearing one, it might be worth going to a tailor/seamstress and get it fixed. There’s almost nothing they can’t fix.

Not just Rapha – my lightweight Castelli does the same.

Thought something was wrong with my bicycle the first time I experienced it 😂

I had the same problem with a Castelli gilet. I put an inch long stitch in the armpit to tighten the arm hole and it fixed the flap. People don’t realize how annoying that is. it’s right next to your ear and neck.
