Just finished assembling my old Salsa El Mariachi steel frame bike and added a bike rack. Took it out for a shakedown ride on singletrack, gravel, and urban terrain, and it performed flawlessly! This is a 2015 Salsa El Mariachi with I9 Trail 245 wheels and other MTB goodies, making it a great bike for our local trails in the Piedmont region of North Carolina.
My future plans include adding panniers, fork bags, and a frame bag. I may also look into a handlebar rack for a dry sack with goodies.
Do you have any suggestions for bags and panniers? What does your setup look like?
