and it’s a good evening and welcome to the Oxford stadium for this row motor oil Premiership clash between the Oxford spies and the witches my name is Le HBY and I’ll be taking you through tonight’s 15 action fi Heats still pretty early days in the 2024 season but tonight we’ve got ourselves a top of the table clash as these two teams sit first and second in the table with the Oxford spars Leading The Way with maximum points from their opening three meetings and the switch is also they’re tuck nicely in behind them in second place their four points from their two home meetings both teams are at full strength this evening with the spars welcoming back magic josi into the team following his absence they’re away win at Birmingham due to polish commitments and the it is they’ll be led by the PowerHouse pairing of 2017 world champion Jason du and two-time European Champion EML Sai fenov tonight’s meeting also boasts four ex- British Champions a Polish national champion Danish under 21 winner and the current Australian National Champion but not to be outdone we’ve got our own British champion in the booth with me Ro s welcome back to the booth my friend thanks mate thanks for having me we’ve got uh all the ingredients for a massive meeting yes we do and it’s dry it’s dry looks nice yeah compared to the last time we were here a lot drier I know it it’s different different situation for the Birmingham meeting that’s for sure got to be honest conditions look mint they really do had a quick look earlier um this track ain’t going to get much better uh weather’s been kind uh starts look pretty even and uh just excited you know with the two big GP boys here tonight and uh you know I think it’s been good going to be a cracking night and it really does have a feel to it I was talking to a few of the fans as I was walking around earlier on and they were saying it’s just great to see M Jason magic all in the meeting together it does add massive amount of spice doesn’t it yeah I think we spoke about this last time you know that has that feeling you know when Tony and Lee and crumpy were all here the big names are back you know the big heat 13s and 15s that’s what people want and uh we’ve got that in abundance this year you know most the teams have got big name Riders and uh yeah very exciting yeah and it’s good to have that top of the table clap uh magic back in the side they obviously didn’t have him for the Birmingham fixture they didn’t miss him they managed to cover his R andr rise very well and get the win but he’s massive plus isn’t he if he’s on form he’s a GP Rider we know that and uh his talent his class is going to be absolute Paramount to to the Oxford uh and you know look them big race especially heat one you know who’s going to come out on top I think magic you know depending on the coinin toss you know if magic can get in front uh deliver you know a heat advantage in the first race that sets up Oxford for the rest of the night and when as we’re just we’re scanning across the Oxford pits at the moment there’s Ashton bojan young lad who’s you know he’s got no pressure on him really because the team above him are performing um but they’ve got strength in depth haven’t they Oxford that’s that’s exactly right we and again we spoke about you know the the the benefit having Ashton in the side and with the the side above him you know he’s got no pressure he can take all this in soak it all up learn from it you know I was having a chat with him earlier you I said you you parked next to a great great guy in in Magic so you can learn from someone like that and then he’s got bomber a long time as well so you know he’s going to be learning every every time he comes here and this is the best thing about having somewh like Ashton there he’s won for the future absolutely right let’s have a look at the spies this is how they’re going to line up this evening we’ve got magic at number one we’ve already touched on magic eight point average great to have him back at the top of the side uh number two Charles Wright great Riders have it too he’s scoring really well uh I think he’s top four scored you know pretty much every meeting and uh to come back from the injury he has as well you know this is a big big plus for Oxford in at number three n Clint again a rider who is scoring consistently um he’ll get you anything five six but you know he can also hit tens and 11s uh and a guy I spoke to again earlier tonight he says he’s struggling gating wise but you know he’s a kind of guy that that will come you know he’s got class threaten all over him when it comes to gating and uh you know and then we we spoke about this when we’re here um against Birmingham if he’s one having a bit off Curry will step up will Nikolai drop down to six not a bad Rider to have at Reserve yeah that’s right and at number four ran tongate uh top scored 14 Plus One Last Time Out w Birmingham he’s he’s riding really well yeah I think they’ve had a bit of a a riding order change there with ran dropping you know to to number four bomber dropping to to coming up to number five so that would be interesting obviously bomber then back in with the big guns as in you know the Heats 13 and 15 so uh an interesting change for me yeah and I I spoke to Peter shck about it obviously Chris Harris is in at number five um and Peter said he he’s moved him down to five to get in amongst it he wants bomber in amongst it he’s got Jason at five Jason do which is and he’s he’s one guy that will get amongst it and he’s bom’s the type of guy that it doesn’t matter what the name is or what your reputation is he doesn’t care he is just a born racer and he goes out and tries to win every race he puts it on the line every time he goes out there and that’s the kind of attitude you want number six Lou Kerr one of the strongest reserves in the league for sure by far by far one of the strongest reserves and we did say if he he’s been scoring well so if he does got up into the main body of the team he has ridden at two and four um so that’s not going to phase him and that’s the strength of Oxford Charles Nikolai Rowan even bumer at one stage you never know they may all drop down to reserve you are going to get that strength back at six no matter who um and at number seven Rising Star Ashton bojan has picked up points in every meeting so far this season and Peter sh can ask no more of him than that no just it keep doing what he’s doing you know young lad not been in the sport long and he will only get better you know he’ll Blossom and uh I keep saying it what Oxford have done they they’ve really really nurtured him and this will protect him this year yeah brilliant that’s how the bars are going to line up and obviously Peter sh we’ve just touched on it Peter looked at the rideing order for tonight and he’s saying that all the guys are growing they’re all getting more track time but he’s still looking at the makeup of the side to see how best to combat the opposition still very early so he’s going to have a look and and he’s got the benefit of the way the side is he can move Riders around so look you know I think he’s been clever in a way you know Rowan at four heat 14 strong Rider to have there so it’s not a massive change and if bomber’s gating like he was when we were here last time why can’t why can’t he pop out and heat 30 and and heat four you know against the big guns yeah great stuff now let’s have to take a look at the witches the visiting witches tonight and no introduction really needed for EML SIU and all at number one did struggle he’s had his lowest scoring meeting that people were going to pick up on but it’s just one of those he had a couple of big hits of late yeah but Emil had a little chat with him I just said how’s the body you know cuz he had some pretty big offs especially the one in Poland just recently um he’s he’s professional uh you know he’s I think he had a bit of an off night uh that I think was it 4 plus 5 or something yeah yeah so look it’s not normal it’s definitely not normal for someone like him you only have to look at the average I can’t remember the last time a rer had a proper 10-point average in in the top league but uh look you know you can just completely scrap what that happened that night you know he’s going to be at on the money tonight yeah riding with him at number two is going to be Jordan Jenkins now was an interesting one for Jordan CU he’s obviously riding for Oxford in championship and he was here last year so he’s got good track knowledge he could be a bit of a trump card number two a little bit yeah he he’s had to step up uh Kenneth R dropped down down to reserve um you know for for Jordan I’ve seen him develop here last year into a solid Rider and he’s got the knowledge as well so um big step though number two uh he’s up against a strong pairing so for me you know it’s about him being consistent and obviously how much does he want it you know uh and and he’s he what I’ve seen of him last year he definitely does yeah no I can agree with that with that completely uh Danny King former British champion number three Skippers the side um great experience uh from from Danny and and he’ll be up for this challenge tonight yeah um he’s part of the engine room I spoke about that on our preview show uh and for me if he’s firing it just it changes that whole team dynamic because you got the two big guns you know what you’re going to get from them and if then Danny starts banging in like double figures for scores which we know he’s capable of that just transforms The Witches into like I mean a massive massive side yeah and talking of the engine room as we mov to number four Adam another former British champion um won The League last year at Sheffield I spoke to him earlier on and he said the move here for him has been really positive he feels a really nice team spirit he’s fitting really well and he’s enjoying his racing again yeah I Swit has that like I can from my experience when I I went tip switch it gives you that sort of home feel it’s got a bit of a country Vibe you know it’s not a big City Club type deal but um interesting he’s been at number two to start I think most of the Year dropping before tactical I’m not sure but what I mean that generates that engine room with Danny and Adam at at three and four but number five uh 2017 world champion been there seen it he’s done it and uh he’s he’s quality Jason probably one of the most hardest and strongest riders in the league um you know he he wants it more than anyone you only have to look how he rides and uh and you know outside EML there’s no better Rider uh in the league and um you know so far started the season really well abroad as well um double fig every meeting I believe so far um but you expect that from doy you know he’s world class and uh I think he won a big year this year you know I think I’ve read some some interviews he’s been giving and I think there’s a sense of more determination this year than there was say a couple years ago he’s definitely not going to go he’s not going to turn off that’s for sure at number six uh Keenan Ru a man who made a quite a big impact last year he he he hit the the stage quite well with it switch and scored well and he also made a bit of an impact in um in um in Poland yeah sgb2 as well um as Poland um yeah what do we know about Keenan R um obviously just not seen a lot of him racing wise but uh on what I mean is I’ve seen a bit of him online you know racing Poland and the boy is fast he is very fast um and I think we saw that in SGP to last year yeah the thing with him coming here and I believe he’s he’s realized that he needs to race in England his St his style doesn’t warrant a you know a small technical kind of track like if switch so I think he’s come to if switch because he want you know he wants to he’s got to learn it and uh I watched it and he improved last year he was a bit of a slow Blosser but he did improve but I think pretty handy down at six yeah absolutely and at number seven uh Dan Thompson one half of the of the Thompson boys uh still still learning his trade but he scored 6 plus one and 7 plus three in the two meetings so far solid you know absolutely solid so um I don’t think you can ask a lot more from from from Dan at the minute you know so uh if he keeps plucking away you know what he’s doing he’s doing more than enough and uh you know look for Dan I just think it’s another year of learning I think he’s a little bit more settled now club like iwit will back him will support him and uh and I think we’ve seen the benefits of that so far yeah most definitely and uh team manager Richie Hawkins um a man who rode for many years um he he was saying in the press that the Win w at Leicester in the cup was a massive win and if they can go there and win there they can go and win anywhere that was his words pretty much I I was surprised that they did win there I’m not not saying that in a in a negative way I just thought because Leicester still you know from 1 to seven looks looks tidy um but a big result and uh look I think Richie you know the team they’ve put together they don’t put this kind of team together not and expect to go to away and only pick up a point they they’ve put this team together to win away they they’re here to make make things happen on the road yeah well let’s see if they can do that tonight that’s other two teams line up uh boys are getting ready to come out on Parade there are two other Premiership fixtures this evening uh with Kings l traveling um uh uh hosting BW sorry um and Sheffield traveling to Leicester so we’ve got a full three we going try and keep you up to date with those scores as the as the night ticks on but yeah we’re focused here on the spies against the witches top of the table class like we were saying um everyone looking pretty relaxed in the pits there yeah uh I I know Emil’s getting his suit repaired at the minute that’s why he hasn’t got his zip suit on um but yeah look you know these this is this is business as usual um you know Lads will be talking to each other but uh deep down they’ll uh you know they’ll get into the frame of line of race mode and get ready to go and and in terms of the track you did a track for us before we before we went on air um you said it looked good all I will say is I don’t I I can’t see this track being any better you know being prepared any better um and uh tiny little bit on top uh Jamie’s scratched it on the outside as well and the best thing about it there’s not a lot of sun the wind levels are not strong so the moisture will stay there which is good for later on cuz as the dirt moves out there will be racing um but this track notoriously has a grippy base so you know cut backs will be will be on um the starts look reasonably even I’d say gate one looks a bit drier than than the others um three and four probably look the best for me uh so if you were winning the toss this evening well and again it’s it’s whether you want it early or whether you want to get that swing at the end of the meeting look magic I think probably won’t want EML to be on the inside of him uh because I think three and four are quite even and I know team wise you wouldn’t want gate one it just looks loose to me I’m not saying the run to the corner would be any different but I I I think they’ll take one and three cuz of the gate three is better run into the corner especially in the first race um but we’ll wait and see what the toss does see so the riders coming out and parade um they tend to come out here and just do a lap of the third and fourth turn uh another good crowding tonight Oxford do promote the sport very very well um the guys from BBC are downstairs they’re doing some online stuff tonight as well um Jamie works really hard isn’t he behind this year and so does Peter sh uh you know you only have to look what how how how the show’s presented obviously us is it given as well but you know they got a DJ on on the INF field with a bit of laser show and um you know and the crowd’s solid they they’ve got the two big guns here tonight so I was expecting a good crowd um a little bit warmer weather we’re in t-shirts tonight so um look the the whole promotion here does it the right way and they’re always looking to improve and I think that’s what all promoters need to be looking at and uh you know just look at it just it looks like a speed wer cuz we were talking again we talked quite a bit we were talking about the promotional side of it and and how you engage with that younger crowd how you get those people coming back in time and time again and Oxford are really trying to do that yeah obviously you look around most Speedway tracks today um you know the age group is quite old and I’ll be forgiven of saying that because but it you know it’s it’s at that point where we’re at no return we have to start looking at bringing new folk in and and finding ways of doing that and uh Oxford Glasgow um you a lot of these these these tracks are hitting the younger the younger audience and uh you can see by their crowd levels everyone’s going up so somebody’s got to lose their their unbeaten run that is going to go this even in one way or another if it goes to a super heat are you you putting the decision on me now might possibly be putting the decision on you right now it’s a tough one cuz you know we wereing we were talking earlier on and most of the sides are even this season there’s not for me a stand outside I think what will push it over the line is your number two for Oxford Charles and your number six Lou K I just think they’re a little bit stronger at reserve and with with uh Jordan coming into number two and the way Charles has been riding heat eight you know I think Charles will dominate that he ate um uh so for me yeah I would say yeah I’d say Oxford for me potentially a little bit more the Oxford side yeah but like you were saying when you’ve got Jason you’ve got EML you know you can come strong at the the back end of the meeting and that’s where they’re going to be looking heat 30 they’re going to be looking to hit big there that’s that’s where and who’s to say Oxford get on a bit of run you bring TR or you bring either doily in to to partner EML or EML to partner doily so I’m not saying you got guaranteed 51s but Rich will be very um he’ll look at the program he’ll see if that happens but he won’t want to be going down to a TR stage yeah and and when I was looking at the way the teams were building this year as an example today you’ve got Danny King and ad Ellis for the witches and you got Rowan Tonga and Nikolai Clint for the spies it’s for me their it’s witch look a little bit stronger there you got on what I mean in current form so that’s where I think it’ll swing from from race to race but at the same time I just think them two number number two and number seven for Oxford I think that’s where they’ll push over the line I think one of the big things will be like I was talking to Adam earlier on he’s been here once since they did the track change so he’s only ridden the track once so is that going to take him a heat to to get into it or somebody of that level should you jump on and maybe maybe but Adams’s he’s a he’s a season professional you know um he would have gone to many of tracks abroad where he’s not even ridden AA and have and have no practice starts no nothing and go there and he rides well so look he’s a professional that thing’s not going to obviously concern him maybe a little bit of the setup as the track slicking off you know depending on which way they go with gearing and jetting so um but obviously Jordan will have that inside knowledge uh the same for EML and Dy you know doy may have written it back in 07 he may have I think he might have he probably did yeah and he also did the challenge that Adam did with the swim and select side so he was here so he hasp so he has had some laps as well yeah look I think it’ll be a bit Topsy Turvy but uh yeah just Oxford Oxford by four that’s that Oxford by four there you go that’s as specific as we’re going to make it so the boys currently out on track they’re getting ready to do so so in this in this parade La that you get now oral I mean it’s great for the fans we see the Riders on track it’s lovely to see everybody but is there a purpose to it do you get anything out of it is it the practice St yeah from a Rider’s uh View and opinion I I like it it calms a bit of the nerves um it’s it’s so it’s weird really like Moto GP and Formula 1 they have warm up in the you know in the morning so they they’ve warmed up they’ve been in the seat some tracks we go we don’t even get a practice start we go straight to the tapes and it’s a weird weird feeling but a little bit some guys may have some new plates in might have uh put put a new primary chain on and it’s always good just to drop the clutch a few times stretch it get a feel for it always as a rider I think they prefer having the start I know some tracks don’t like doing it allows the away away team to settle a bit more but I just think in general it’s better for for the fans as well builds the atmosphere up a little bit I was going to say from a promoting perspective you want to see the Riders on track as much as possible yeah so with that hat on I like the fact the boys get to go out and put in a couple of laps and yep and the fans get to see them on the track old school so as you can see on screen what we’ve got is got new graphic there just bringing up the Riders and you you’ll see a couple of new additions that we’ve made to the graphics this evening um just trying to improve that product week on week as as we’re doing across the board here at Oxford so you may well hear me referring to uh to Oxford as us at times because this is the Oxford stream but we are completely impartial we want to see good Speedway we want to see a nice open meeting um and we want to see our last Heat decide of super heat that’s what we’re after unless you got money on Oxford unless you got some money on Oxford that’s right so yeah the boy the boys just putting in some starts like Rory said it’s an opportunity to get a feel for the bike it’s an opportunity to make a couple of practice starts see how it feels underneath you um but it’s a quick turnaround for the guys in heat one yeah um as a number one and number two you want to get them starts out of the way cuz if you do need to make a change got to get in quick you got to come back in maybe take the tire out readjust the the primary chain um but sometimes it’s necessary so um but a lot of the guys they will know what sort of setup they want to run um they’ll go back it’ll just be a quick tension of the chain fuel it up and they’ll be ready to go so we haven’t had the news filtered through yet of who won the toss so I guess we’ll just wait until the boys run out for heat one as to uh who goes into one and three and who goes into two and four and then me and Rory can try and decide for who won and who picked what but it’s good it’s a lovely it’s a lovely crowd in this evening the weather is terrific um atmosphere is building nicely and heat one’s going to be rolling at you very soon magic yanowski Charles R EML fov and the experienced Jordan Jenkins around here he’s the probably one of the most experienced Riders at this track in heat1 although Charles did have some success here last year as well Den yeah yeah but I think you know you look at Charles Charles’s results so far um you know in form wise you wouldn’t be you’d pick him you know win two 11s and a five plus one but remember the five plus one was the Birmingham one when he took the T and to to be fair he was still on for a good night that night he took the tumble so um for me you know Charles is is on form as much as do and EML so um going to be an interesting first Corner o perspective to have somebody at two that’s top scoring cuz we talk about two being the most difficult it is number and it is yeah I’d say two and then five I think they they’re the the two most difficult numbers um two I think because of the way the the format sets for the number two Rider um it can be it can be difficult like at home I think they’re done by heat 10 heat 10 way it’s a heat 11 um and the gate positions sometimes aren’t really good for it and uh you know and where number five yeah you get the reserve in the first one then as you go through the night it’s when the track changes and you go from the inside when the tracks actually started to move out then it makes it harder for you to think well do I need to get to the dirt fast you know so it makes you think a little bit more and then you’ve always got 813 and you’re always on the outside if you end up with gate four so we’re getting news through the Oxford are on 2 and four did they win it did they win the toss oh no it’ be interesting to see yeah we just know they got TW well they know they got two and four but um yeah strain me a little bit I would have gone one and two yeah which makes you wonder whether wonder whether the I witch boys Danny King won that toss we shall [Music] see so yeah Jordan Jenkins I don’t think he’ll feel the pressure Jordan I think he’ll he’ll be able to go out and relax with it but there’s a little bit on him because of the knowledge he’s got of this track yeah and be a little bit on himself more than anything I would imagine he’ll want to do well obviously he’s done the laps you know so it’s not like he’s got an excuse of you know I don’t know want gearing to run or you know I don’t feel comfortable you know he’s pretty much part of the the furniture here but um yeah tough first race to come out to um with three guys that are on top of their game at the minute on fine form yeah inter to see how EML goes after his after his couple of bumps and knocks last week or so he had a big off in that one in Poland looked very awkward I did I I said how’s the body and he says the body’s fine but it was a nasty knock and uh but uh you know he said he said he wasn’t given any favors from Freddy in the first Corner that’s that’s Polish racing you know out there it’s hard they bang bars a lot and um but uh mate you know if if you were going to nickname someone the professor I think you could nickname Emil the professor was the new professor cuz that was always uh was always H neelson yeah yeah he just seems very businesslike Emil these days he’s very businesslike that’s just the the way he carries himself it’s terrif I was talking to U quite a few fans as I was coming in I was talking to a few of the O the iwit fans and they were saying how terrific he is no matter what’s happening in a meeting before after he will say hello he’ll sign an autograph he’ll have a picture that’s it’s just him isn’t it it’s just how he is he Persona and and that’s what any club would want from a from their number one Rider and uh Emil’s been world class still is world class you know I think it’s an absolute robbery that we don’t see him in the grand pris I think uh I don’t think smik would have it all his own way if if EML was especially last year the way how dominant EML was abroad as well in Poland um and I think he’s the only one on a consistent basis who can run and and and at the speed and the pace smck does when you throw artm into the mix as well if he [ __ ] GPS that’s what I mean so there are guys that can run that sm’s pace and uh but the scary thing is he’s starting to gate smck at the minute that’s even more frightening we will see if he can bring that tonight so the riders coming up to tapes There It Is the Oxford spes it is the itwi switches these are the top two sides in the row motor oil Premiership so far this season we’ve got referee tonight is Christina turble she’s on the button and we’ve got a big big heat one ahead of us three of the Riders currently at tapes here we are for your lineup four heat one it will be Jordan Jenkins off the inside he’ll be in the yellow helmet color for the switches off of gate two will be Charles wght in blue gate three will be emlai fov he will have the white helmet on and off the outside in red for Oxford will be magic yanowski we’ve got 15 Heats 14 assigned and then the Heat 15 where the managers get to choose who they want to send out for that big heat 15 this one could well go to the wire looks like Magic’s Lin up pretty close off gate four so be looking to get over EML very very quickly surprised really cuz he was a nice rat up against the fence off gate for so uh so you might have expected him to be a little bit further out yeah yeah he’s want those boys up to tap the green light is about to come on we’ve got heat one with this Premiership fixture it’s oh em with a bit of a nibble a great start from Charles the referee’s pulled it back now see I’m a funny one there because Em’s almost done himself with that little nibble yeah I but the thing Charles is looking the other way if you have a look here Charles is looking the other way so he doesn’t see em will move so Charles has got a little bit itchy as well so you know uh for me the right decisions made it was an UNS satisfactory start and we want to see for we want to see four him four from tapes but what that say is a little bit of nerves little bit of nerves emlin to get to that first turn first so so they they’ve made that one start rry they’re straight back over this is what we talk about a lot what’s going on over there just right now well the rules have changed now it used to be I think it was like as soon as that happened it was 1 minute straight now you don’t have to do that which I like as a rider yeah yeah well a lot of people don’t realize is how hot these these clutches get and also uh the movement of the chains so right now all they’re doing and the modern bike as well the tanks are a lot smaller so literally there’s just yeah there’s just enough fuel in there to do maybe 4 and 1/2 laps five tops around here you can get more obviously it’s a smaller track but um you know uh Em’s obviously got faith in his he’s G stra straight back the lads have probably just given the rear chains a quick squeak drop the fuel and their back around we’ll go again so the referee deciding that no one uh ultimately was to blame there I wonder whether Emeral got a little bit of a warning I think I think both will get a warning on you think so yeah but as they roll back up to tapes they just quickly go through again Jordan Jenkins off the inside side Charles R gate two in blue em fov White gate three and Magic Yosi off of gate four in the red helmet color we go again let’s see if those nerves are still jangling it’ be interesting to see if magic stays where he was well like you were saying potentially goes a little bit wider on that gate four position yeah I was surprised there is a notoriously a big rut yeah he’s going there now he’s he wider [Music] yeah everybody else looks pretty similar but magic has moved a little bit further out starting Marshall walks away and we’re away with clean even break up to the first turn and it looks like the It twit boys have got their first lovely run down the back straight em will gets himself out front magic moves round Jordan Jenkins into second place he’s got to keep his eyes open though cuz Charles right looking up the inside yeah Charles isn’t getting a good run there he got sort of clammed down on the inside but magic does look fast he looks very fast uh but Emil’s got the inside line I don’t think he’ll make a mistake but let’s hit magic hand very very difficult to move off the line early on you’re in a good position but magic is quick we can see that he’s all over the back wheel of EML Jordan looks pretty comfortable in third at the moment but the battle is out front EML out front but here goes magic trying to move out towards the fence big lap ahead of us Mor yeah Magic’s definely oh he’s I tell you what he’s chasing back wheels but his bike is absolutely pulling like a train but I think M’s got it I think he’s got it one yeah magic might just have a look around the outside here I think you might get a run on it more more just moves out and shuts that door wow I just thought for a second there thought he was looking the wrong way that magic was going to get up terrific there was almost two races in one there because at the back Charles did have a little look on Jordan in third place as well but a terrific win to good good good first race there Rory yeah well the the the iwit witch has got away brilliantly um I did say I think one and three was going to be better um EML I think you know first laps around here I think he would have just been trying to consolidate got in front made a good start Magic’s bike was pulling absolutely going couple of times he it was pulling him into the probably past the corner and it was and it cost him a little bit good early signs of his confirmed result for that one so Emma with the win magic yanowski in second Jordan Jenkins he took that third place um so it was a 4-2 heat Advantage there we go to the I switch witches um IP switch off to a flyer IP switch off to a great start and like I always say if the O team can get heat advantage in heat one what that does is just ease that pressure a little bit on the reserves in heat 2 oh uh for sure I think uh when we’re talking about gate positions that’s why you know did did Ox would take two and four um EML made gate three look Supreme he just dropped the clutch the thing went forward lifted a little bit going into the corner but um yeah it will settle the nerves and uh but now I think with curry off gate one sets the heat up nicely yeah strong strong Reserve to have off gate one yeah Lou kry he finds himself off the inside in red for Heat number two Kenan R he’ll be in the white helmet color he’s off of gate two for it switch gate three Ashton bojan he will be in the blue helmet color and Dan Thompson he will be in yellow he will be off of gate four so a great 4-2 opens the meeting up for the ipswitch witches can they get anything out of this one there’s every opportunity yeah you know Ashton you know good Gator you know for such a young young lad he can gate really well and he’s got gate three1 he can make this work so um look he would have seen what Emil did in the last one and he’ll try and repeat it let’s see what the boys can bring in Heat number two 30 seconds left on the 2 minutes got the 2- minute clock just nice and clear for everybody to see okay the Riders up at tap everyone looks happy all set again a little bit of movement off of four yeah little bit of movement from Dan off a four there very very nervous boys very nervous boys you see it straight away here keep your eyes on down in yellow yeah he was lucky not to touch the tapes there a cracking start off of uh off of off of two from Keenan R yeah yeah made a Blinder there from Two Can you do that again can you do that again you know what it’s like when you made a blind aori two Heats and two jump starts I the boys are nervous very nervous there’s a lot riding on tonight you know which you know that this is a big meeting of setting the standard they’re at the top um they’ve gone away and one at Birmingham so they have got and they got the aggregate point from that as well following their home Victory here earlier in the season so like you were saying just a bit of a top up on the fuel there for Ashton engine coolers are out yep fans don’t realize how hot these clutches get these days they’re so hot and back in the day you know guys used to use steals you know instead of Alloys you know like you know not changing plates for 10 10 or 12 meetings where a lot of the guys now putting fresh plates in nearly every meeting so expensive exercise but that where the sports got to and uh and that’s why they’ll be cooling it down as much as they can uh similar to how they the the Formula One guys are got to keep their brakes at a certain temperature their tires at a certain temperature um we’re the same with our clutches we’ve got to have them as cool as possible yeah so that’s an important thing to do just in that little break that they get because they get the two minutes we’ve got a minute left on the clock uh the Riders are are all back up at tapes louu off the inside in red Keenan R White gate two Ashton bojan blue gate three and Dan Thompson yellow gate four has done and a little nibble at the start there so he’s going to have to keep himself still this time tell you what Ashton’s very very close to gate for aston’s right on the line isn’t he yeah I think as on way right I would be a little bit little bit annoyed is he going to let it he yeah no he left funn enough always get the favor from the from the home start Marshall might not have been so forgiven if it was an IP rer over the line but that’s the way it goes I thought we had to be impartial we’ve got to be impartial already okay here we go rerun of heat number two take go again Keenan R off of two looks like he’s made a great start but Dan Thompson off of four can he get the run down the back straight ahead of Louie Louie just lifts a tiny bit going into three and that gives him the advantage Dan will have a little look up the inside here to tell you what Thompson’s having a crack on the inside but Curry he’s done enough laps around here to know the quickest way around um he was very forceful in that first Corner moved him over and uh he’s setting sail now yeah Dan made a great start off of two um he’s got himself up there into seconds Keenan’s tucked into third and a big task for Ashton at the back so it’s just a chance for him to get some laps and get a feel for the track but this one looks like he’s settling down pretty much uh the the the track actually looks like he got a little bit of grip going into the corners you can see the lads and pushes him a little bit but um yeah Curry’s got this one in the bag I think yeah this one looks pretty settled looks like we’re going to get a three3 unless anything drastic happens in the last two turns Lou Kerr got himself out front controlled the race a good second place for Thompson and a solid third for Keenan R giving us a 3-3 in that one but it was a competitive first turn the ipswitch boys made the start yeah Curry really had to he really had to push kenth off that line cuz if he had just got that maybe half a foot over the top of Curry could have clamped him down on the curb so um yeah had to be very forceful there um track starting to turn over uh you can just see it just going into turn three and going into turn one little little bit of grip going in and shooting the boys past the corner um but that’s a good sign cuz there’s going to be dirt going in past you know that racing line and who we got coming up very soon who likes likes a little bit of that exactly Mr har you been shuffled in the order to uh to get in amongst it okay there’s your confirmed score for Heat number two it was a 33 score line with Lou Kerr taking the win for Oxford second play was Dan Thompson third Keenan Rue both the ipswitch boys packed in there and Ashton bojan at the back so a 3-3 that makes it five to Oxford seven to wh switch as we head into heat number three and and it was a good start there from Dan Thompson because I always think he he he built it up like stayed wide and where what dirt was there he used it to his advantage and there see Curry just had to push off that line but Thomson here look quick look look absolutely rapid but Curry here he knew where the danger was moved out a little bit used that dirt which magic used in the last one so um you know but he’s got so much experience around here Curry knew what to do you kind of think that in in Heat number two if he can get out front he’s going to got got that in the back it’s going to be hard yeah that’s right yeah that’s right okay we are a minute and a half away from Heat number three we’re moving along nicely with the action Christina tble referee keeping the meeting moving nice and smooth so we find ourselves with a couple of British champions in this one and the current Australian Champion as well Danny King off the inside for rip switch in the white helmet color next to him Roman tongate in blue for Oxford Adam Ellis former British champion as well he will be off of gate three in the yellow helmet color and off of the outside is Nikolai Clint former Danish under 21 Champion he will be off of very tasty heat three very tasty and this is a strong heat across the board any of these Riders can win this um we’ve had a winner off of one we’ve had a winner off of three we’ll see what uh are you are you assuming a 5-1 di switch a did you know this heat could go either way could it not could it not you know if makes that start and gets himself out front but Rowan is look quick quick of late it’s going to be very tight first Bend let’s hope not for a jump start I was going to say let’s see if we can get away cleanly third time around and uh and not have the boys back up to tapes but yeah strong engine room strong strong Heat this one surprising gate 4 hasn’t been like not it here is quite it works early on but uh I did think gate three just the run to the corner there was more grip yeah Nikolai is more inside on gate four then than the other two boys have been so here we go we got Heat number three 75 to it as it stands tapes go up away away we call it’s a tight first turn but Rowan gets the advantage keep an eye yellow Adam Ellis down the back straight Rowan Tang taken control down that back straight he’s got himself out front the switch boys look quick behind him though yeah starting to there’s a bit of traffic there now Adams right on the dirt line but rohan’s coming in tight then drifting up and kissing that dirt on the way out uh another strong hard first corner from from the Oxford Spears but uh I tell you what this ain’t over Adam’s having a de Adam’s looking really quick in in second place there Rowan looks like he’s in control but Adam just seems to be riding that little bit wider getting that little bit more grip seems to catch up Rowan but Rowan does look like he’s in control yeah I think Rowan’s got this s sort of zwn up now he’s smooth he’s just been running in tight letting it run up but Adam there he does get a good run off the off the outside but coming in three and four I think Rowan’s got it yeah Rowan’s not been able to pull away Adams kept him honest for the entire race there but a good win a good win there for R tongate in blue IP switch pack in be happy with that second and third no last places um and that was all really done for Nikolai Clint in the first turn wasn’t it unfortunately yeah he just got hung out to dry there and that that that is just unfortunate when you’ve got such a competitive first Corner um but didn’t didn’t look at the races which which is a worrying sign for Oxford um but Rowan dominant first corner it looks like a guy coming off like a really strong Aussie season obviously he’s had and um really really muscled that first Corner Adam was having a dip on the outside that’s going to get better I think that will get better as a night goes on going into one whoever’s in second does seem to just draw in the leader a tiny bit I think once that inside you can just see it there in that well just before the caption there’s a little bit there there’s a bit of a a ridge there which is play base and that’s what shoots the guys past the corner so I think once that goes I think the outside will start to generate a little bit more yeah and wonderful is there there the score line for Heat number three there 3-3 result with Rowan Tung taking the win for Oxford the I switch boys Adam Ellis Danny King British Champions packing into second and third there and like we were saying Nicolai just had a tough first turn found himself at the back and it’s going to be hard to draw those three three Riders back in in that type of heat especially early on um so 3-3 still a two-point advantage to ipswitch Oxford 8 ipswitch 10 as we move into heat number four where we see a couple of the big boys Jason doy for IP switch Chris Harris for Oxford yeah doy running a different back end there um quite a few guys are are trying this different back end so when you when you say the back end what are we looking at obviously it drops down the the the the traditional frame just goes down the frame you’re talking about yeah yeah the rear frame section like the traditional frame goes down in a triangular uh shape where if you go back to that one you can see Do’s frame drops down to a lower yeah I can see that you know some Riders like it and then it’s got a plate bottom section now in my eyes you know I’ve heard it stiffens the rear end up a little bit more drives harder um let’s see if Jason can make that work off a three we’ve got Dan Thompson off the inside in yellow we’ve got Aston bojan off of gate two in blue we’ve got Jason Doyle he’s in white off of gate three and we got the bomber off of gate four Chris Harris in the red helmet color so Dan Thompson did very well first time out um let’s see it’s it’s almost two races in one I always say when you get the heat four look you got you got two guys on the outside GP experiences uh world champion as well former world champion but uh this year bomber has been gating gating really well and he’s quite wide looking look we’re looking down down onto the track here and I know where he’s going I know exactly where he’s going already and that’s the reason that Peter’s put him there heat four let’s get in amongst it let’s get on top of Jason going into that first turn this is an exciting heat it might develop into two races OB bomber made the start bom’s made the gate I think the referee maybe got a little bit Trigger Happy on on the uh green light and then the tap button don’t think anyone’s going to get a warning for that one I think we’re just going to be coming back whether that was the tapes or the referee just looking at it again uh actually I don’t know did the green light come on I wasn’t looking I was looking down onto the Riders so I didn’t see the green light but I imagine we’ll just go again um there was something that stopped the xwi boys from trapping four races and three restarts you see Chris and Jason just just having a word there did you move no I move what did you see what didn’t I see just interesting the way that both the op boys trapped and the boys didn’t someone was looking the right way or the wrong way we don’t know yeah that’s right I just I just I just think the referee’s just I pressed the wrong button I think yeah bit too quick relax Chris Harris there he’s younger like a fine wine he’s younger with age I’m drinking the wrong wine then well I passed him twice the other night and he passed me back there you go so Dan Thompson he’ll carry that confidence through from heat to only he a good solid two points for him solid ride you know um you know he’s we’ve spoke about he’s been scoring solidly at every meeting he’s been at and uh and the way he’s been going you know he will be thinking I’m going to do the same tonight um Ashton you know probably needs to dig dig deep here um he’s got the gaing ability he does he can G get himself in front he’s quick now right now just more mental you know forget who’s out with you don’t look across and think it’s Jason do former world champion yeah head down I know I know it’s hard that’s right yeah head down look across let the bike do its thing um yeah I just can’t wait to see where bomber goes in the first Corner getting excited I think we know what he’s going to be aiming for is it can you make that work this early in the meeting there is material there it has turned over and I did say there was that tiny bit of material that has turned over and don’t worry if anyone’s going to use it it’s going to yeah it’s going to be Chris there’s the 2 minutes alarm is sounded that will give the boys two minutes to get back round to tapes and we go again four Heats three restarts bit of nerves and referee maybe as well got work in the morning we got to get home we got get in a reasonable hour come on lad we were out ridiculously early last time we were here so what we’ll do is the night ticks on is we’ll try and keep tabs on the other the other two meetings that we’ve got going on in the Premiership this evening um we’ll keep you up to date as best we can action packed even in the premise ship all six teams uh six of teams in action okay let’s take a quick look again Dan Thompson off the inside in yellow Ashton bojan Blue Gate two Jason Doyle White gate three and Chris Harris Red Gate four very wide very close up to that fence Rory’s predicting he’s aiming for that dirt in the first turn and I’m not going to disagree with him unless he makes it off four drops it straight over the top of all three of them I tell you what the way has been trapping the way he’s been trapping and that when we were here last time he was trapping like an absolute demon he can trap these days I’ve told him I’d rather he didn’t Tru when we’re here you know for the viewers at home give us something to talk about yeah that’s right okay Riders pulling back up to tapes just a couple of little adjustments there for Jason Doyle so as we’ve said sometimes this will develop into two Heats in inside versus outside let’s see what Heat number four brings take thre away cleanly Ashton did make the gate but then just lifted a tiny bit The Hip switch boys Jason Doyle Dan Thompson there out from Chris Harris he’s going to go deep into turn three will he get the run around down Thompson oh Dan Works him hard Dan made that difficult he’s still making it difficult ah there’s bomber kept himself outside kept that line got himself in second yeah doy unbothered out front uh I think it’s going to be hard for bomber to to gain some momentum now but uh yeah he sort of got hang out to dry didn’t get a good run in the first corner but Thompson you know to keep bomber behind you um he’s doing really well and uh another looks like another heat Advantage switch in many respects Dan has done Jason a massive help there cuz he’s giving Jason the room to get away and I tell you what he’s not getting that far away from bomber either that’s right Dan’s keeping him honest again bomber’s driving out into that dirt he’s just getting that grip as you can see down the back straight Jason’s checked out he’s got this one in the bag bom’s looking comfortable in second Place fair play to Dan Thompson he kept him on it but a good win for Jason doy another heat winner for the ipswitch witches second place Chris Harris Dan Thompson did his job got in bom’s way let Jason have the space to pull away he Advantage another one for the witches that that looked like a typical Jason Doyle start first Corner No Nonsense check out go home um look look solid um bom looked a little bit bit Rusty actually he um the outside didn’t work as as well as I thought uh Thompson give him a bit of a hard time and and didn’t obviously drop back that far made really made it another heat Advantage another heat Advantage 4-2 to the ipwi witches over the Oxford spies in that one Jason door with the win comfortable Chris Harris had to work for that second place over Dan Thompson who came third for the witches and and Aston bojan and another tough heat for Ashton there um as he trailed in in last place so 1410 they extend it to Four Points early on Richie Hawkins will be we very very happy with this so far Rory yeah but I wouldn’t as as an Oxford fan or you know uh I I think you know it’s very early I think they should have expected this you know what ips switch can bring to the table um but this I think this is the first night where the track is normal where I think the lads the first meeting there was wet yeah bingh next meeting I believe it was very very slick there wasn’t a lot to play with and tonight there is a bit of dirt to play with so you can see them there they they look like they will definitely be talking about setups 100% so um look they all put their heads together uh you know I think I think whatever Magic’s running CU he definitely had speed and the bike was pulling really hard so you know hope you don’t you don’t always see a team get together after four Heats do you is it becoming moreon place if you’re a home if you’re a home team and you’re down by four yeah you you you do um and that’s what that’s what they’re doing here you know they’re obviously just saying how you feeling what you running are you making any changes um it’ be pretty simple questions but uh you know I would say in the next four races if they’ve not made an improvement that’s when to start worrying yeah um and if they slip any further behind well you don’t really want to be running TS when you’re at your home track yeah that’s right and and that’s when you know the the away sides in the ascendency if that does happen it looks a bit more relaxed down the iwit end of the pits boys are a bit more spread out they’ll be very happy with the bikes are a little bit cleaner bikes are a little bit cleaner then we’re looking pretty relaxed Jordan two we’ll see Jordan now and EML out in the next Heat they’ll both be out for the witches in the next one against Nikolai Clint and Rowan tongate it’s interesting that they’re actually going to put a bit of water on I think which I’m surprised about cuz there’s there’s enough moisture in the track that I don’t think it needs it but uh I’m not a track Creator so I’m not going to question no and it’s it’s hard it’s a thankless task I think sometimes getting getting the track right but um he’s generally Jamie Courtney who jumps in the tractor here and and does a bit of work um but unlike the first meeting we were here I they did any did they in that wet night against Birmingham but they made the right call they they TI packed it they got it to a stage where they could go racing and there were a couple good races but I what I will say is sometimes you got to do that you know to get the meeting on sometimes you just got to sort of bite the bullet and say right we we’re going to TI the hell out of it we’re going to get the meeting on understand right you’re going to have to set it up to gate um the racing was good I thought but um look Jamie’s doing a few laps now uh just take that edge off on that on where that dirt line was and uh you know I think the outside it will come don’t I’m I’m 100% sure it will come yeah you can see that you can see that it will build up and it will will get the outside line um but the iwit boys we just saw Dan Thompson smiling and chatting away in the pits Adams doing the same it’s uh it’s almost you know the the per four perfect Heats for them to start the meeting with to get four-point advantage and put themselves in control of the meeting but we know it can swing how quickly it can swing when you’ve got emo coming out in five for R switch that’s when you start to look at the program don’t you daunting in there yeah when when you’re losing and you start to look at the pr gam like it’s em oh it’s Jason Doyle it’s Adam he’s having a good night Chris Chris in the pits Chris Louie yeah and I think that’s a prominent moment to pick up on John Louie um going to mention John this evening very sad news the sport lost a legend you know that word is used massively but the tiger Louie um 14year career I think 10 of those were at ipswitch British champion World Cup winner he did everything in the sport and you rode under him I didn’t you yeah my my I I came to switch in 2008 uh and it was that was when uh Chris actually I think decided to retire and so you replaced Chris in the line and and uh I was I was lucky enough to ride with with John um I mean you know for him and uh just a great great guy I’d like to have seen you ride with John I feel I feel that old I feel that old on I have but yeah a great guy and um always when I Rod there I’d always pop into the cabin have a cup of tea with him and Chris and um you know we surely missed you know he was part he was one of the guys that was part he was British beway briway yeah that’s right and at a time when British bway just had a a vast amount of incredible Riders to win a British championship in the 70s in that era was was unbelievable most definitely you know I always say the 70s and the 80s were that that era of of of Speedway racing and in Britain and um I’ve still got old videotapes which probably you kids don’t know what a video tape is but I’ve like old meetings of that and uh he and he’s on them and um yeah just a sad sad thing to to hear and uh you know our condolences go out to the Louis family and um you know a guy will be sely missed yeah absolutely somebody that won’t be forgotten left an amazing Legacy and and it lives on with Chris it lives on with what he did to it sh because he kept it going for many years people don’t always know that outside the sport um so yeah we’re remembering John great guy when when you think of I Speedway you think of the Louis you think of John as writers or as promoters um you know when I think of Ip switch you think of the the year of 98 you John L you know the the the promoter the manager brought ricardson brought goab had that you know imagine that top three now imagine that top three like we’re not they’re not far off at here as in you know that that kind of you know standard and uh team was something else and it just has a little bit of that that feeling a little bit with do and EML and uh yeah that’s good and they’ll be you know want to see a great season but will be hoping they can get some out this season in John’s memory so yeah we send our sincere condolences to all of to to Chris Lou and all the family and John will be uh remembered and John will be looking down happy with a four-point Advantage at the moment oh yeah most definitely he will be watching wherever we go after this girl that’s what we do we still watch the speedway so I think they’re just uh they’re just wrapping up the track work now yeah they they’ve they’ve uh I I was actually wrong they did use the water cart but not for watering they’ve just done a little they’ve just done a little tire pack mid track so as I said there was that bit of Ridge going into the corners where I think the because it’s a clay base the Riders do get caught out from it you get a lot of grip from it so I just reckon to just TI pack that that mid track section um just to allow the the track to probably open up a little bit more yeah we can see some gate percentages there nice nice new graph that we’ve got to show you each week um you can see Gates 1 2 3 4 the winds that have come from them nothing off of four as yet um you can see the percentage swing 502 early days um and where the points were scored so a really nice graphic I like that because it gives us a real understanding of the gates especially as the meeting develops um but it was interesting cuz you know Dan made a gate off of four Dan made a great gate from four so it shows that there is something out there there is there and and the the gates will change um notoriously four can go slick and and and goes off uh they looked fairly even they did look fairly even and I was you know when they are putting water putting bit water down see now um but in saying that I was I was right I think gate three was looked a bit better um and because ips switch have taken well well it was whether it was Oxford that took two and four I switch had one and three in their first so they will get one and three I think three times out of the four last races so that’s that’s an interesting always to remember absolutely and that’s why I think you know gate positions can always be very important so only one ride so far for magic but he’s I think he he he won he second behind yeah of course but he looked quick he looked quick very quick Rowan looked good as well didn’t he yes um I think on the first night we here that obviously conditions weren’t great but Rowan looked very very dominant in that first corner like he wanted it more and and a great win and and it’s what Lou C would expect of himself to win he too but that’s what bring that’s what Louie will bring that he will bring that that that dominance at reserves so um for me you know even if he steps up into the team will be be good and just looking at the witches quickly they got the 14 points they got that four-point Gap and we can see couple of heat winners there and Dan Thompson stands out for me so far yeah I think um if he keeps doing what he’s doing he’s going to be a thorn in in Oxford side so uh and uh he’s proven it so far but the PowerHouse of Jason winning the Heat EML winning the Heat that’s what expect that you do expect that and I think any any team should expect that the dominance of them pair um I know uh I think last year when when they came to to wolves for the first time it was we we were able to nullify them the heat 13s and when they went out and did tacticals we were able to nullify them them big races yeah and that that was the swinger for us you know to to obviously beat them so it’s going to be them teams that can do that that will probably push them over the line so still early doors now um the races that they’re not in that’s when Oxford need to make it count that’s right yeah and and that’s what we were saying earlier on when you look at the program it’s Jason again it’s Emil again when they’re not out that is when they they have to pounce and uh but look people like Rowan have the ability to beat people like EML and doily yeah for sure yeah yeah most definitely they probably just giving the track a little time just with that water cuz it will sit on top that’s what happens with with the clay material the water can sit on top so they probably just giv it 5 minutes just to to settle down yeah we can see as we look out of our vantage point cuz we’re really high looking down onto the circuit when you look at turn four you can see where the water’s gone down it looks a bit glassy you know and um and it was interesting cuz I didn’t see who it was but somebody in a red helmet was hanging over the fence gesturing to to the water BS where to go well what what you don’t want is the water just see it there just see that like you said bit of glaz bit glassy yeah but what what they would have been saying is don’t put water going into the corner you know that’s that for a speed rid is an absolute nightmare cuzz when you’re going in it’s where you’re pitching it in it’s where the back will where you want it to spin and if there too much water and it spins around that’s when you start people locking up running into you um so that’s you know Jam’s been here long enough he does here does Barrett he knows where put the water and and I think you can see it he’s not put water going into the corner outside where that grip is so we will be moving on with Heat number five bikes or not that it looks like a clean bike I think he has changed bik early changing bike so here go a Runners and riders for Heat number five off the inside in red will be Nikolai Clint next him in yellow will be Jordan Jenkins for itwi off of gate three in blue will be Rowan Tong winner first time out for Oxford and off the outside also winner first time out will be EML fov in white for the ipswitch witches so we are 10 to Oxford we are 14 to wh switch as it stands minute on the clock little bit of gardening boys trying to find be interesting to see what EML can do a four here cuz it really hasn’t outside D making that good start and heat too it’s not really giv the Riders a lot too to get excited about um Nikolai off gate one which I think can command that first corner I think rowand’s job was is is not to allow EML to come across don’t let him come across don’t chop my nose off keep him out there which will allow Nikolai to get off turn turn and they’re comfortable on a 51 there let’s see what he number five brings Oxford will be looking to hit back they’ve got a hit back you don’t want to see that creep to six points eight points that is when you start to panic they’re going to want to get a heat Advantage out of this one let’s see what Rowan and Nikolai can do against Jordan Jenkins and OV so we are Heat number five k go away we go row made the flyer off of three can he go for the top of Jordan Will Jordan get the run at the inside yes he has fair play Jordan oh RS coming hard there under Jordan Jord made a great first quarter and here comes em oh bit of contact there coming down the home straight Rowan held on to second place so who saw this coming Jenkins out front made a great gate fantastic first Corner Row’s gone in deep again chasing back wheels a little bit but he’s got a run can Jordan hold him Rowan round the outside is he going to get the Run yes he is excellent from Rowan tongay what a ride from Rowan had to work really hard tell you what Jordan away from the start but Rowan has got some he’s got plenty of pace and uh looks like a 3-3 yeah Em’s just going to sit in is he now he’s going to have a nibble for the last lap I think Rowan’s checked out in this one Rowan’s got the win great first couple of laps there Jordan Jenkins did superbly well to hold on as long as he did Jordan comes home in second then moai fov in third and unfortunately for Nikolai another last place cracking first couple of laps there I tell you what Jordan is absolutely thrown it about and I tell you what very impressed um em will again he couldn’t make gate for work and uh Rowan his bik just pulled to the first corner I think Rowan made the better start but he run up into the wet stuff just where they watered it and didn’t didn’t get any drive off the corner took a lap or two for that dirt to to turn over uh and then he made it work down in three and four but uh Jordan’s definitely going to throw the C amongst the pigeons that’s for sure absolutely brilliant heat so it was another 33 drawn Heat this time with an Oxford win out front Rowan Tungate he got the better eventually of Jordan Jenkins who made a great start and held on for a couple of laps there he came home in second place Emily in third he picks up that point and unfortunately for Nikolai not at the again and off the pace but it’s hard when you’re at the back getting filled in but two last places he won’t be happy with that it’s he’s gting is just not uh he’s just not there oh that was tight I tell you what ran was hard absolutely hard on EML there and uh but if he hadn’t in no yeah but he but he didn’t lose momentum by doing it and then just here straightened up a little bit chasing a bit of back wheit where you get that straight run in the turn M me my head in my hands Jordan could have moved out a little bit um but I just think ran he just wanted it more yeah I think so that’s what I was going to say put himself out there and if you can get that run coming around one and two you do get that long back St don’t you but good signs tracks turning over good signs terrific race from all concerned so we move on to heat number six still a four-point advantage to IPS witch as we line up another big heat couple of massive riders coming out in this one off the inside in white is Jason Doyle for rip switch next to him is uh Magic yanowski he’s going to be in the red helmet color for Oxford keen and R in yellow off of gate number three and Charles Wright no points in his first out and he’ll be in blue off of gate four another massive heat Keenan Ru will be looking left and right thinking I’m going to have to make the gate in this one got some top top top opposition up against him in this one Jason finds himself off of one if magic can make the gate get over the top of Jason and pin him and then you want Charles to be flying off a four come around the outside perfect scenario not always that easy Magic’s got his work cut out for him AR the way Dy trapped in the first one how dominant he looked out in front um yeah if he can get in front it’ll make a race of it see what they can bring four-point Gap 13- 17 favor of the witches rers getting comfortable finding the best starting position here we go now he number six this premise ship Clash take go up away we go and it is do off the inside and it looks like Keenan’s made the gate with him will Jason have a little look Keenan’s got that drive down the back straight Magic’s at the inside of him I tell you what it swi on a 5-1 and Magic’s got his work cut out for him did definitely did not move up the start um this is definitely not what Oxford needed yeah Magic’s trying to find that run down the back straight to get himself ahead of Keenan Jason’s gone again plenty of speed out front from Jason it’d be hard for anybody to catch him but the work here is penan what can magic do to get the better of him Magic’s got to get past him got to get past him if he doesn’t get him past he going to they’re going to be in TR territory but he’s going to go big here in two three and four will he make this outside run work it looks like he has great great great then four from Magic yanowski and now Charles is just starting to have a little look as well will Charles be able to get out the inside and King right tough yes he does Charles right will Keenan get the cut back that’s the question now as we run to the line no Charles right Keenan R tough heat for him there Jason got himself out front disappeared Keenan second third back into last it happens tough heat here we go we’ll just give you the rund down quickly Jason door with the win looks out front looks really in control Jason he won that one mic yoski in second Charles W got himself up into third and Keenan R battled really well as was holding a 5-1 there with Jason for a couple of laps but then just got eaten up maybe with a bit more experience from from Magic and from it looks it just looks different this year he looks oh we’re on the camera oh there we are we’re on camera me leaning up against I stand up straight doily to me just looks different I just don’t there’s something different about him from other years um determination he’s always got that but I mean just on the bike he he looks quick he’s got Pace where I think you know he’s always been able to gate but just the last few years he hasn’t had that pace is this year where he’s got the pace to run with someone like smle let’s wait and see if he can transfer that into the top level okay we’re moving on massive Heat number seven now off the inside Chris Harris in red next to him Danny King whites Lou winner first time out he’s off gate three in the blue helmet color and Adam Ellis two points in his first out and he’ll be in yellow off of gate four so four-point Advantage at the moment to it which they’ll be happy with that it just can’t eat back into it at the moment Oxford but they’ll be looking to do here with Chris Harris finds himself off the inside in this one I think if Curry can get a get a good a good result here I think you might find Curry having a very busy night um I don’t know how much Peter Will Will Wait will he will he pull the trigger and maybe swap out Nikolai if if Poss gets a result here and this is where Roxford have got the advantage to a point because Lou cerr in this heat you wouldn’t think you’ve got a reserve in this heat would you no that’s the thing and he’s more than capable of popping but this is what I mean this is what pets got that in in the locker uh Curry gets a result here they get a 5-1 throw Curry straight back out three British Champions coming up to tap in an all e British Heat this one bomber Lou CER Danny King Adam Ellis Heat number seven green L way we go B off the inside they’ve done it the Oxford boys have made the Trap can they hold it nice big run down the back straight from Louie yes he does it this is could be a huge heat for Oxford B already looking over his shoulder trying to get Curry to go in front now watch bom to chop off the nose he will hope he’ll hopefully team R him if they get this they’re back in the meeting keep an eye Danny King Danny’s chopped from the inside to the outside Chris just lifted a tiny bit there coming down the back straight has Danny got the speed round the outside he’s putting the work and that’s a great line for Danny G Chris just holds him off yeah bom will push him wide here does Danny have the run I think he does superb from Danny King Chris did LIF but Danny was in the right place to take advantage Lou K like we said jumped out as the reserve in this G he’s winning what’s going to happen at the back here bomma he’s gone wide he’s uh bom actually sacrificed you know a paid win to let Curry go away but it’s not over yet is he going to get that room no close the door did Danny know he was there that’s the question smart smart last turn very smart last turn great Heat win there for we said he could do that we said he could jump out the Trap and win that heat terrific from him great bom sacrificed that cuz bomber made the start waited for curry to get around the outside and that and that put bomber on the back’s foot for the next lap because he had he had to shut off a lot of his momentum and that allowed Danny to just get the mo like the speed on on bomber you know and that and that’s what bomber does so un you know for him unfortunately he sacrificed you know he’s made a good start he he’s thought of his teammate it’s still a hit Advantage could have been a little bit better bomber will go back he will be kicking himself but bomber’s that’s been bomber you know his whole career and uh you know team man he’s a team man isn’t he okay we’ll get the confirmed score line of that one great heat again the tracks really coming into it own now 4-2 to Oxford uh Lou Kerr tremendous great win for him he was out front Danny King in second Chris Harris third and Adam Ellis at the back in that one so a 4-2 heat advantage to Oxford that brings the progressive score Oxford 20 with 22 and they’ve just eaten into that score line there just a little bit yeah I I think K’s going to be busy it’s exactly what you said you know he can jump out and win that type of heat it’s going to be busy we’re moving straight on eight I thought Charles yeah well Charles did look a little bit better he looked a bit more at the races in the last one and you’d almost look it like this is his Heat this is this is his heat to lose I said I said at the beginning you know the number two position but what’s what’s surprised me is Jordan Jordan’s dominated Charles in a sense yeah that’s right they’re both out in this and the way he’s riding you know who’s to say can’t you know run with the Pacer Charles he’s proven it tonight um you know Ashton is’s going to have a lot of pressure on him here with Thompson riding the way he’s doing but I think Charles has to dominate has to dominate the first Corner Ashton bojan inside blue Dan Thompson yellow gate two Charles Wright Red Gate three Jordan Jenkins white off of gate four Jordan’s having a terrific nights three points for him so far Dan Thompson very good night for him so far this is Charles Wright’s time to get that Heat win and again Ashton bojan there’s no easy Heats for Ashton is there that’s that that’s the thing he jumped really well on his last one he did he jumped with him but got a little bit crowded shut off you know and is that experience is that confidence is that it’s it’s youth you know like you know first time he’s probably ridden against some big names like he’s has tonight and um he has Got Talent as in he can gate he’s just believe get there yeah that’s right and he could do it here okay let’s see what he can do in this one t up away we go on heat number eight is a great start from Dan Thompson flying out the traps tonight Dan he’s got himself out front Charles wri tucked into second Ashton bojan he’s holding that third place at the moment but Jordan Jenkins oh there’s a moment there for Charles R I tell you what Charles is just riding on that cush of that dirt he locked up heavily in three and four he’s right there I’ll tell you what Thomson’s going to have to have eyes in the back of his head yeah he’s changing lines he’s using the inside he’s using the outside is he going to get that run here around the outside Dan Thompson shuts the door but Charles right is all over the back of him Aston bojer now finds himself at the back it’s the third place at the moment for Jordan Jenkins can he land a blow on Dan Thompson out from it’s I tell you what Dan is riding really well uh he’s not make he’s not put a foot wrong in this race and uh you with yeah Jordan packed in for third Ashton’s not too far away can Charles do anything on the last lap yeah looks like Dan’s going to hold on unless Charles can get a run up the inside of him here he’s on a look ah Dan Thompson holds on great win for Dan Thompson second place Charles Wright third place was Jordan Jenkins with Ashton bojan at the back so Dan Thompson are we looking at a match winner surprise packet yet again we know he’s got it we know he’s got it and you know Charles a tough time there Charles especially on the first lap Charles threw everything at him uh got a little bit out of shape I just think maybe he’ gone in a bit too hot but uh Thompson I tell you what I I think is he is he going to be the match winner you know what to expect from d and EML Thompson could be he could be the the The Benchmark for the result yeah another great Heat win there for Dan Thompson he was out front Charles wght was in second place Jordan Jenkins got the better of Ashton boan there who found himself at the back so it’s a 4-2 to whip switch that gives him that four point Advantage again CLX for 22 ITR 26 and again Richie Hawkins will be really really happy with that no last places yeah I think now could be the time for that talk yeah um I think the lads really probably got to look at what what IPS what you’re doing they are trapping well you watch Thompson’s bike just ABS Ashton lifts but Thompson just goes forward there doesn’t even lift both Oxford boys are lifting you know they’re bouncing around at the first corner and I think that’s the difference you look at do you look at him their bikes are just driving forward from the start and you you got to give it to Dan because Charles was all over him for a couple of laps he got in a bit of trouble there Charles but he was pressure was on you got somebody behind you that you know is good know he quick Charles has got the pace and uh and there is a little bit of dirt there but Thompson just put it right where he needed to he he he put the back wheel where he needed to every race and um that’s what you got to do so Nikolai Nikolai back out in this one bit of a surprise uh obviously got to take the three rides he’s got to get a third ride in so yeah yeah uh so yeah just look look at the lineup ran Tungate off the inside in blue Jason D next to him in white Nikolai Clint no points for Nikolai be disappointed with that so far and Keenan Ru of the outside Keenan’s probably ridden better and harder than his one plus one um but the eyes will be on Nikolai in this one because it’s not an easy heat for him I reckon G though I should be on one and two cuz I think there could be some elbows elbows going into the first turn the old Aussie boys don’t like to uh to give each other an inch that’s for sure uh yes when when the Aussies race against each other the the temperatures just turned upit you know we’re all fing that all in the pits but I tell you what and it’s been a trait for many many years I watched the battles between crumpy and Lee crumpy and Lee and um yeah very very polite p in the pit on track when the tapes are down the green light comes on different story tell you what that uh that’s a long long long story behind you you know when you’re there so Rowan finds himself off the inside in this one Jason off a two Nikolai off a three Keenan R off for four so it’s a four-point gap they’re holding on to that four-point Gap in the minute hip switch’s hard up against gate two there theor is expecting some albow going into the first turn let’s see if the oie deliver oh Jason Great Gate from Jason keep an eye on Nikolai he’s made a better gate there he will he get that run round the outside yes he does but already look at the distance Jason’s got on him absolutely flying Jason um he just looks a different class tonight R’s got clear can he gain some momentum I highly doubt it but [ __ ] just looks absolutely stylish out front he’s flying out front Jason the oer boys at the moment packed into second Rowan Tungate third Nikolai Clint Keenan R got his work out trying to make any kind of DSE in there on uh on the I on the opsw boys but Jason looking super quick out front Rory he does he’s making it look easy um The only positive from this foxford they not obviously obviously losing points overall but uh he’s going to be hard to beat tonight Jason yeah he’s looking really fast out front uh Nikolai is looking faster and more competitive in this one at least he’s got a point on the board he have wanted that from this heat but no stopping Jason Doyle class above in that one excellent performance third win of the night for Jason Rowan in second Nikolai third and a tough heat there for for keeno at the back so shared heat that will keep the four-point game 2925 but Jason Doro looks class above just uh he’s he’s another level and if anything even above EML yeah he’s looking really super quick super confident super smooth yeah yeah great to watch and uh and I did say it there’s just there’s something different something about him yep worth a punting the GPS I I think the first round it’s hard I think I think going into the first round will be hard to you know pick a winner overall there you go we just give you the confirmed score here 3-3 score line in that one Jason Dole out from in control class performance from Jason uh the the oord boys tucked into second and third there Rowan tongay Nikolai Clint they pick up the two and the one point and Keenan r at the back in that one so 33 score line 2529 as we move into the second half of this meeting IPS will be the happy of the two at the moment for sure uh no brainer for me um they uh and as you said every race you turn the next race you know so yeah Oxford really need to make them Heats where they where they’re not in it they need heat advantages there uh cuz I can’t see anyone really getting anywhere near dly tonight uh emo had gate four so you got to remember okay maybe you know he’s got that one out of the way and uh yeah they got to make it count when they’re not out there and we look at this one we got Danny King and Adam Ellis coming out for for ipswitch but magic yoski and Charles Wright long as there’s no Rider changes for for Oxford um and again Charles will take a bit more from that that second place he got last time out he’ll be looking a little bit quicker they’ve not looked like they’re not gating Oxford they’re not they’re not gating and I think that’s that’s where that’s where they’re losing the battle tonight um some of them do look quick L Ron looks quick think magic looks quick but you know they’re not they’re getting into positions where it’s taking them two laps step think where oh well I think think you know I can’t I can’t get any anywhere near the the winner that’s right so um here you know for the for the meeting to turn heat Advantage for Oxford here let’s see what they can do Charles right off the inside in blue next to him Adam Ellis in yellow for rip switch magic yanoski Four Points so far for him he’s off of gate three in the red helmet color and off the outside Danny King in white we are 2529 we have a minute to go until this heat will explode and it could well explode it’s competitive heat all these boys have got points on the board tonight and Oxford need a heat advant Vantage cuz like Rory was saying as you as this meeting creeps on you look at 13 Jason’s back out 15 Jason will be back out so they’ve got to get a couple of heat advantages in these Heats leading up to he 13 could this be the one could well be Magic’s look fast but again anybody could jump out you look at that line up there any of these four could jump out and win this heat and Magic’s been given up nearly three yards at the start and that’s that’s where he struggled tonight that’s where he’s falling down yeah I’m I’m I’m positive he’s made a change uh you know how aggressive it is you know for the start that that will obviously we’ll find out now two balls on the inside quite quite close in here we go let’s see how he number 10 develops green takes her up away we go and it’s a cracking start from Adam Ellis off of the inside just keep an eye on Magic Yosi right down that back straight Danny King was coming into contention Oxford boys are on top of each other magic really wide oh that’s fantastic for magic yovi I didn’t think there was room but he got outside keep an eye out of mellis he try and get the run back up the inside here magic holds him off great first lap that was a big move from Magic again didn’t make a good start Charles is having a snip around Adam can he find some momentum like magic D so it’s a heat Advantage at the moment for the Oxford spes keep an on Charles he’s looking at the inside Adams on the outside now Charles has switched to the outside is he going to try and make a cut back nice long straight can he get the be no Adam shuts the door it’s going to be one big last lat here he comes oh is he got him as he got the Run Adam shuts the door going into three big move there Charles very unlucky well done Adam Ellis holding on to that second place magic Yosi didn’t know what was going on behind him a fantastic heat between the two boys there really throwing it out each other I tell you what magic had to do that he again his Spike didn’t drive from the start big big turns three and four um if Adam had just gone maybe half a foot wider could have stopped him could have stopped him but uh heat Advantage brings it back within a couple of points back to two points yeah big heat Advantage there great race between Charles R and Adam Ellis for that second place magic yoski he was out FR no looking back once he got himself out there second place what Adam Ellis he held on I thought Charles was going to put a move on him but Adam rode really sensibly really strongly to hold on to that second place Charles wght was third Danny King at the back in that one so it’s a 4-2 to the Oxford spers that brings them back into two points again it’s been two points it’s been four points since the first heat but there’s no real separating these two sides let’s just take a look at the start again Rory yeah magic you just watch his b just spins bang that does not go anywhere he’s done well to keep Danny there because Danny made a A better jump let’s watch this he does he lifting there now he goes in hard Adam there does he just he’s probably thinking he’s in the there he’s probably a yard too low and Magic had buil up the speed and went around Charles right across the right across the center Green there um and was not too far away he was he was just checking away on the inside the curbs starting to work off turn two now um whether that will come into play later on where the dirt’s too far out of turns two well that you know with the people will the Riders find that as an advantage later on big big big hit number 11 here EML fov off the inside in the white helmet color Chris Harris next to him in red off gate two gate three the impressive so far tonight Jordan Jenkins in the yellow helmet color and wide Lou what a Powerhouse Reserve they’ve got in Louie coming off of that gate number four I I’ve got a bad feeling about this one got a bad feeling about this one for for for Oxford I just um the way Jordan’s riding and ging at the minute um you know obviously bomber and and Curry trapped in the last one but they’ve got Gates two and four where I think one and three are slightly better at the minute and if EML can trap off of one puts the pressure on Chris as he brought his gating glovs we know we’ve seen Chris gating superbly for the last couple of years but like you say it’s the IPS Rich boys that are just getting out of the starts a little bit better at the moment than the Oxford the Oxford Riders so Christina will bring them up to tapes now start Marshall gets them ready they go two-point Gap now 2931 what is heat 11 going to deliver tapes go up the away we go off the inside EML got a lot of drive going up into turn one there keep it on Chris Harris up the inside now Em’s got a nice run now keeping eye on Lou Curry as he goes deep into turn three will he get that run round little bit of trouble EV up b a second back in comes Jordan Jenkins the battle Lou’s down yeah the race will be stopped there race will be stopped just went in a bit hot there Louie trying to get himself back into contention it’s holding his ankle it’s often those ones that don’t look dramatic that are the ones that you know you can you can twist and he went in pretty hot to be fair um he went in a little bit deeper than the lap before so I don’t know whether you know what it didn’t hold him up as much as it was expecting yeah they oh no they the back just got it all wrong um you know trying hard to you know put it in the dirt and and just didn’t hold him up but what that does gives bummer second bite at the Cherry second bite at the Cherry but he will be running on his Lonesome so Louie there we can see smile a smile on his face but he’s talking there to his mechanic Jamie Courtney out there with him as well you picked ankle straight away didn’t you yeah it looks like he was holding his but um yeah we can see gate starts it’s uh I do like the conspiracy theories though if you get my drift let’s let’s have a good no winners off of fallot so far that tells its own story the least points coming off of gate four five wins from three three from two two from one I just I just said three just had had more moisture in it had a better run to the first Corner yeah um and uh and obviously yeah the stats tell it as that is so it’s it’s you know we’ve seen a couple of boys make the Trap off four but just not get there’s obviously there’s a couple of ruts there up close by the fence and they get really good jumps but then it’s the yard after literally the yard after the jump there’s nothing it’s literally like throwing a little bit of sand on glass you just start to spin as soon as you get there and it’s difficult cuz you think oh you get over the top of it cuz it lifts and then when you get to that slick bit it just starts to spin yeah have scores on the doors at the moment you can see magic Yosi seven um good night for him what what You’ want from him the top end of the side yeah I think he’d want more I think you know his gating has just not been been good Rowan’s obviously solid I think moving him to Fours made when I say made them stronger but uh krye you know outside that one he was having a stellar night but I think where where the weak point is at the minute unfor is Nikolai and and I think that’s what’s hurting him CU When we look there through the IP switch side solid yeah and and again Keenan’s almost done more than his one point but yeah he’s been in the mix he has been in the mix in every race so look he may not have scored but he’s made life hard for Oxford you know in them races and uh well I think the scorecard says enough there says it enough about Jason and again just picking out Dan Thompson 6 points from Reserve he’s had a great night down and could get two more well he definitely get one more he could get yeah he could get another one after that as well and and possibly too although like we say Keenan’s been in the mix he just you know hasn’t been able to get the points on the the board it depends on how ruthless Richie is and if it does get a bit tight does he make that change got to be ruthless it’s got to got to be ruthless is only two points I think he has done some damage here yeah still on the track is a real shame cuz he’s having such super night we hope Lou’s okay we can see he was sat up there so we know it’s uh we know it’s only um uh a skeletal or muscular injury that he’s picked up CU he was talking to his mechanic in the paramedics but he is still down on the track so we we hope it’s nothing too serious for for for Louie there he’d had two wins from his first two rides and uh found himself at the back end that one and that was where he was possibly going in just a little bit hot to try and to try and get himself back ahead of uh of Jordan Jenkins in that one but they will take this opportunity to to do a bit of track work and I think what we’re going to try and do is we’re going to try and head downstairs Rory’s got on his toes he’s got down on to track and he’s on the start gate let’s see if we can go over to Rory thanks mate thanks for joining us down here at the Starline now as we were talking about before how the difference between gate three and four if we come over here it’s a bit dark but they’ve been going from one rut and this rout down here is where they’ve been going from so they get a good good jump but then we go a little bit further down here go past absolutely nothing we’re down to the base so that’s why they get a good jump and they don’t go any further where if we look across the gate three the ruts are a bit more even little bit a bit more material there’s more moisture in in the start and definitely more material so that’s why three is so much better than gate four at the minute yeah some good Insight from Roy there down on the start line good good to get him down there while we’ve got this opportunity we wish we didn’t have this opportunity obviously but with Lou still down on track it does give us opportunity to get Rory on his toes he’s a bit quicker than me so we’re sending him across the center Green hopefully we’ll get some uh some reaction in the pits any minute um from from Rory you can see the can see the crowd there quite a few uh quite a few Swindon fans in tonight uh supporting Oxford as it goes supporting Speedway supporting Oxford Speedway Speedway at the end of the day we want to see everybody on track we want to see good crowds and people doing well I think Rory’s over in the pits let’s see if we can go across and uh see who Rory’s managed to grab a word with you mate pretty good G so far yeah the tracks really really good like we spoke about earlier and um yeah everyone seems to be enjoying it yeah they you guys too probably too much but um no it’s we got good Speedway and and that’s the that’s the that’s an important thing as well so um hopefully we get the win and just keep plugging away do you think you guys are struggling from the starts a little bit that’s what it seems to you know from from a fans point of view like he’s not really that rapid from the starts and from where we stand that’s probably where you’re losing it you think yeah definitely there’s been a few times that I’ve seen where the the guys are on the back of a 51 before the first corner so um yeah it’s something we probably need to work on and if we can get that dialed in if we were better with that today we would probably be in front but that’s Speedway and but personally you You’ you’ve had some Pace tonight you know you’ve looked more racy and I was getting excited there when you were up against doy I thought gate one I thought you might have the edge on him but uh he’s at different level at the minute but I think if you could get a start do you think you could hold him off um yeah definitely I go to win every race but um no D’s a good Gator he’s he’s a strong Rider so um yeah I didn’t make the best of start and and he just checked out so um yeah we’ll give it a go next time but um yeah we got good competition they’re all good good riders in that team so um it’s what it’s all about we’re we’re here to here to fight for a win and and and learn every time so um yeah we can take it as a positive to the next try and fight back for for for the end of the night yeah definitely we’re still still in a chance to win we’re just got to get some more race wins and heat advantages and and go from there good luck for the rest of so we’re just down here in the pits and if I might try and stick the mic in with Nikolai see if he wants to have a chat how you doing mate struggling a little bit tonight still not quite getting out them starts yeah I’m yeah like like it’s been my problem all all year at Oxford and Birmingham and um I actually felt in the first one I made a decent start got pushed wide and then spun around on myself in in turn three and the next time I made an error from the start I packed something I thought would all right as you know when you pack something that’s dry with stones in it you go nowhere um um so for the last one we made just a few changes and felt much better from the start on you looked a bit more rcio you you looked a bit more comfortable on the bike but yet for you like that I know you gating is something that sort of comes natural to you so I know how frustrated you must be yeah 100% because I know I can beat anyone uh I line up with at the start out out of the start but when when the bike doesn’t do what I want it to do then it’s frustrating and then you start overthinking if maybe I see a little bit further up or maybe a little bit more gas less gas um but at the end you just got to keep it simple don’t you do you think do you think like the first meeting it was wet then the second meeting it was very dry and Slick where tonight’s bit more normal like for Oxford and you think that maybe that’s caught the boys out you know just at the gates cuz it’s not just you a couple other guys are struggling from the starts as well yeah I I would say so the starts is actually nice uh but it’s what you do at the gate in it like this time I went from a rod and worked really really well it might not work well next team um but they we we rode it three times now including uh well as well as PR PR can’t talk and um it’s been four different tracks uh I think now with the weather the more time we get on it the better we be um not a lot of passing today so one line out by the fence um but at the end of day we just got to get out of them starts and then uh keep our head down one more race put it right yeah I’m fingers crossed and hoping that I can finish up with the win I know will thanks n cheers try and see if we can get a quick chat with magic he might he might talk to us he he’ll say his English isn’t that good but we we’ll try and get him magic all right mate struggling from the starts bit of sweet mate but uh just struggling from the starts tonight you think yeah it’s sort of been that sort of your ailles heel tonight um it’s not bad because I feel like good speed in my bike um feel good on the track um but you know on small trucks you need to have a good start um I miss that from the start of the season I try a couple things but I think I need to change a little bit my technique maybe a little bit more um I Speedway technique but not dead motor starts not the real ice Speedway but you know like you’ve had speed you’ve had plenty of speed tonight and we’ve seen that and that last race when you went up high on turns three and four and then you rode away so like you’ve got the speed there it’s just obviously that you’re G almost giving them a head start and I think if you do get in front you can beat the likes of em D not a problem um I used to beat them in the past so um um just I need to remind myself how to do that so but uh after every heat feel better and better so um um I hope that I can find something better from from the start and then would be much easier big big races coming up soon heat 13 heat 15 obviously going to be looking to we need to meet uh heat advantages don’t we yes um we need to get some good points unfortunately uh L get get get hurt uh but we need to one and uh if we have a pan over here Oxford is starting to have a bit of a team meeting as well so um you know they’ll be looking to to fight back and obviously make a few changes CU they really do need to obviously get out them starts and we’ve just heard from Nikolai and Magic how important the starting is tonight um so look they will look to make some changes they will look to be aggressive right I think we’re not going to get much more of a wording with the boys down here and uh I’ll throw back upstairs and uh I’ll catch you in a minute so some terrific insight there from Rory down in the pits great to get a good take from the Riders on where they’re currently at how they’re finding this evening um so the score that we’ve got as you well know here is 29 to Oxford and 31 to ipswitch um so both teams there you can see as as generally happens when you get to the interval stage of a meeting they will have the team get together everyone puts their thoughts in um and when it’s this close it’s it’s you know obviously the aways side are winning so they will be really happy um at this stage of the meeting but I’ve been in those pressure points um pressure pots with with with with in the past with teams where when you’re losing at home the pressure is on you somebody’s got to dig out from something from somewhere um to to to turn the situation around so think we can go over yeah we can go back to Rory now here we go thanks mate uh I’m joined by Chris Louie uh I’m trying to do what you do for a living mate so uh yeah uh good meeting so far yeah happy um you know it’s a new thing for me CU I haven’t I actually haven’t been back since uh they reopen and uh it’s very impressive it’s all very well organized and very very clean and tidy and the track looks good um I’m pleased with the start with me but you know obviously it’s tight does it feel a bit different you should we should be coming out under the tunnel does that feel a bit different to you yeah it feels a little less wemble like now not not coming out of the tunnel and the track looks a little bit narrow between the between the straights so the corners are a bit tight but uh it all looks very good actually all the lads are enjoying riding it and um we just got to give it that final push now got to be happy with Thompson and Jenkins for what they’re doing at the minute um you know I think on paper they probably didn’t look like they were going to be strong you know riders in the team but they’re proving that on on the score charts yeah look you know obviously we look like a top heavy side that’s what people would would think um and obviously you know we’re very pleased to have the fire power that we’ve got at the top with Jason and Emil but uh those guys are doing more than their job um they see it as their job which is uh only right and they’re doing a great job for us so yeah it’s making us quite sort of solid right through I don’t feel that we’ve got any weak links Look Any Given meeting of course someone will have a bad meeting but there’s always someone else somewhere in the team that’s that’s going to cover it so uh yeah very very happy we’ve had a good solid start to the year so far do you think we’re seeing a a fresher more dominant Jason doy this year so far what I’ve seen of him this year there’s something different in in my eyes he looks something different um he’s got Pace this year which I think in the last few years he struggled with a little bit can always gate but uh he looks different to me uh we certainly got pace and he’s certainly making starts he’s made a few tweaks to the Mike um you know he’s he built on on what he learned last year he had all new engines last year he kind of learned how they react and what to do with them and um you know for us look in the UK he’s always been solid very solid um let’s hope that that now translate with that speed that you’re talking about um on the Grand Prix scene that would be great thanks for that Chris and take care just doing a bit of work prob we got this opportunity so they they’ve just moved the interval slightly so what we’ll do is we’ll quickly run through the rider scores as they stand at the moment so magic yeah great night for magic two second place and and a win that gives him seven points so far Charles wght four plus one at this stage Nikolai Clint a little bit disappointed for Nikolai with one plus one from his three outings Rowan tongate Starman for the Oxford side so far with eight points Chris Harris obviously only had two rides the number five at this stage he’s got three points in those two rides Lou ker whose evening seems to be done had two fantastic wins before that fall and Ashton bojan tough night for Ashton but we will see him again if Lou Cur is out cuz he’ll be out in heat 14 got a chance to get a point on the board for the ipswitch boys quality all the way through the rank really emai Futo Four Points uh plus one from his two outing so far Jordan Jenkins Four Points Danny King he’s on paid four Adam Ellis he’s on four so consistency there from the top four Riders Jason Doyle A Cut Above everybody this evening looks fast smooth out front Jason Keenan Rue one plus one but deserve more for his efforts and Dan Thompson has been their trump card aside from side from doy so far with with six points from his three outing so scoring across the board the key for the ips switch which is as it stands with a couple of points Gap going into the back end of this meeting gate percentages as you can see there no winners off the outside um which as Rory was saying early on is not a surprise to him five winners off of three we’ve had three winners off of two so and those middle gates are the ones doing the damage at the moment um and that will swing back one way and another as we go into the back end of this meeting uh from heat 11 we’ll see one and three for ipswitch and then one and three for ipswitch and then it’ll be one and three for Oxford but then it goes back to one and three for ipwi so they’ve got that gate one and gate three and and Oxford have got what is at the moment the graveyard gate four in the next few Heats so we’ll see how that pans out but a good meeting so far we hope you’re enjoying it at home uh intention is to bring you as many of these home meetings as we can as the season ticks on ultimately we all want to see people on TR track side that’s where the uh the real engagement comes but we know that’s not always possible for everybody so it’s great that you know ourselves and some of the other tracks are Michael Hunt behind him Clark of the course was previously Clark of the course at Swindon has now been brought into help here at Oxford looked after the grand PR at Cardiff Michael um and he’s uh he’s up there as one of the best Clarks of the course um in the [Music] business Aston knows he’s going to get another ride now I haven’t heard hasn’t been confirmed officially but I would assume that you know with Lou going off in the ambulance that we won’t see Louie again this evening which means that Ashton will be back out uh Louie uh Louie will be out of heat 11 as the cause of the stoppage well obviously got to still rerun that one but he will Ashton bojan will be out in heat 14 where he’ll be up against Dan Thompson and Adam Ellis so all close in all three meetings this evening nothing between any of them and The Wanderer returns well done Rory get your breath back very unfit I don’t think you’re unfit Jamie made me run around the track if if I was doing the running it would be a different story I could say I’m unfit it’s good good to get the Insight of the boys it’s great getting you over there yeah uh obviously got the chat with a few on on screen quickly had a little chat with with Danny and and EML off screen and uh yeah the the switch boys very confident very happy yeah um obviously speaking to Chris Louis about you know that plus of Jenkins and Thompson scoring so well yeah so you know did we discount you know them two Lads you know in the sense of you know they didn’t look that strong on paper they certainly proven me wrong yeah it was Jordan’s Jordan’s knowledge of the track because again yes Emo’s new to the track D’s been here once and it’s just made very light work of that but even though Jordan’s not the most experienced because he’s got the laps under his belt like you said I always felt he could come in and do some damage but Dan Dan’s the one that surprised me so far it’s Home Comfort for for Jordan like riding here all last year and uh but yeah Thomason just his trapping is unbelievable um you know I’ll tell you what half the Oxford boys wouldn’t want his G glov that’s right um I did find out not great or positive news it’s uh Louis has done something to his ankle he thinks so called that straight away didn’t um it was just an awkward one but uh you know I’m hoping it’s nothing serious but early signs he did hear something click in his in his legs in his ankle so I’m hoping it’s not um for for Oxford especially they need him yeah um Beric need him and uh yeah your teammate in the champ obviously wish him the best hope it’s nothing serious and uh you know can just put his foot up for for a few days and and recover yeah he’s he’s had some some nasty injuries in his career Louie but it as we as I was saying when you weren’t here it gives Ashton another ride he’ll be out in heat 14 it does but puts now this is like where it puts pressure on Ashton and it’s probably not what they want and uh it now throws Oxford on on the back foot where that that trump card they had at Lou ker at Reserve they can’t use him now because the reason he kind of potentially went in hot there is because he was chasing Jordan down it’s the first time all night he’s been behind really exactly and and probably the first time he was entering that wide so you know what wasn’t probably was expecting it to be a bit grippy than it was it did sort of drive him a little bit but then he seemed to just get it all wrong and uh yeah just uh very unfortunate and as I said it really has put uh Oxford um you know on the back foot it does going into the back end of this meeting and while you away Rory we had a quick look at the other the other two fixtures and Kingsland 29 Belleview 31 and Leicester 35 Sheffield 37 so everyone’s close every meeting’s close and and it’s like you were saying about the team building it’s oh oh I hope I hope well you know say hope I think Leicester really need to win tonight um you know I did have them as as a top four you know play off bound uh but yeah if if they do sort of lose another home me you know what I mean is that really is going to uh make sure Dixon think you know you made changes last year and and they didn’t work but you know sometimes you know when the team’s not firing and and they’re not getting what they need the results you know sometimes that’s why he gets paid the big bucks at man you know at a team manager spot and it it’s hard because you don’t want to make or you don’t want to even be thinking about making team changes this early but if you’re losing your home meetings you’ve got to take a look it it’s a hard one it really is cuz like last year he he made them tough decisions and uh it backfired so you know and that will be in the back of his mind as as well um but here at Oxford as well you think to yourself you know you don’t want yes they’re three three and three but you don’t want to be losing at home if you want to be one of them teams that are Front Runners you don’t want to be losing at home home um we had that chat with Nikolai Nikolai knows what what the issue is and and I think that’s you know there’s a few riders that haven’t been at at their best and Nikolai is definitely going to have to come out and heat 12 I was going to say we’re going to see him definitely and he’s going to have probably more pressure than he has on all night but he’s been around he races in Poland races all over the world um and he’ll know what is is expected of him and that Speedway right there because I think we pretty much would have guaranteed Louie coming out for Nikolai in that heat gives Nikolai another chance but pressure’s on him because he’s got to get something from that heat yeah well I would have said Lou Kerr in for Ashton yeah and then maybe if they are six points down yeah you throw someone in like a magic or a Rowan so that they were the options I I thought were were sort of on the horizon that’s all G out the window how quickly it can change yeah we do send Lou all our best we hope it’s not a really bad one for him like Rory said just a couple of days away from the saddle hopefully will do the job but we are having now the second half of the meeting and we’ve got the rerun of heat number 11 obviously we’re going to have no Louie Kerr in this one as we can see it here on screen em fov will be off the inside in white Chris Harris he will be in the red helmet color off of gate two Jordan Jenkins off of that blond gate three in the yellow helmet color and no Lou cerr as the cause of the stoppage first time around he’s excluded off of gate number four so Chris Harris goes it alone so worst case scenario is a drawn heat for Oxford um they need that right now uh a must it is a must a and uh I was just just quickly talking to em off camera and uh he said it was surprisingly grippier than he thought so he’s had to make some changes um but uh feeling a bit more confident in the in the bike now and uh but let’s not discount Mr Jenkins in gate three which is the best gate of them all so will Jordan approach it slightly different cuz he’s got nobody outside him will that give him a different run it could do I the mindset should still be to get across you know chop all in okay let’s wait and see B ring R is the half here away we go Heat number three the boys off the inside and made the gate Emil’s got a nose in front bom has made a lovely cut back underneath EML coming down that back straight superb first second turn from Chris Harris is EML in a position to return the favor long straight he’s done it EML comes right back at it bomman now finds himself wide outside in that deep stuff he’s going to get a nice long back straight can he throw it in deep into turn three not this time no no they both got caught out with the water Emil got caught out in the first corner and then on turn three and four bommer got caught out so uh bit of a topsy early race but I think ‘s got it in the bag now yeah she’s playing into it s His Hands Chris couldn’t land that blow back on EML so as they cing around one lap to go we got EML C another out front bom Harris in second Jordan Jenkins in third it’s looking set for a 4-2 Rory pretty much but H yeah frustrating for bom cuz he made the right decision they had watering and that bom used that to his Advantage got on the dry a bit but EML repay the favor and EML takes the checker flag win for EML COV second for Chris Harris third for Jordan Jenkins no fourth Runner because Lou K was excluded from the running but traded blows a couple of times in those first couple of Heats Emil and bomber yeah that that that long period that break with that track grading that water just sits on top we talked about it earlier and when it sits on top on this clay base it looks grippy but you get no grip off it it only gets grippier when it dries and it did like you caught both they caught them both out like bomber done exactly the right that was track knowledge but then I don’t know whether he he’d forgotten about it or he just ran a little bit too deep and Emil did the exact same thing on on bomber you know coming out of turn four yeah either way OV the one that got the win he was out front for rip switch Chris Harris he picked up two points in second place and Jordan Jenkins unchallenged in third for the solitary point but it does give ipswitch a 4-2 advantage and takes it back to a fourpoint gap Oxford chasing once again and now like you were saying earlier on the pressure now firmly on Nikolai shoulders yeah you know ideally you know a 5-1 would be great for Oxford right now um with Thompson out again and the way he’s been trapping and his speed uh they’re up against it so yeah big one for Nikolai really really need produc a Goods yeah this is that scenario where ideally most of the time Ashton bojan can go up at his business do do get what he can try and get but when you’re chasing and the pressure’s on now he’s going to be feeling it a little bit the the mindset changes especially for the manager for pet Peter as well the mindset he will probably be a little bit more you know around Ashton like G him up a little bit more and Ashton will be feeling that um and uh so Nikolai has got to use his experience uh he’s got to dominate the first corner has to dominate the first corner and if he’s got the option have a look where Ashton is um but Kenneth uh Rue and Danny King have both been solid tonight I know Kenneth hasn’t had the best nights has on the scorecard but he’s been there he’s he’s been where where the where the action is and he finds himself off the gate one Keenan ruin yellow next to him Nikolai Clinton red one plus one point that’s what he’s got so far he’s going be expecting a bit more from this heat Danny King off of gate three in the white helmet color and off of the outside Ashton bojan failed to score from his three rides so far so a big big Heat this is for for both sides but Oxford needs something if you look across that score line they’ve not all actually scored that well if you look across it um so this is an open race it is an open race it could go anyway and you know unfortunately for young Ashton he finds himself off a gate four that hasn’t delivered a heat winner but if he can trap and get across and just get in the mix in that first turn who knows what might happen I’d be looking at the last race I’d be looking at cut back yeah I’ll be looking at not turning early turn late and make a long straight down the coming off turn two hope Nikolai chops um Thompson’s uh nose off and then and then runs high and cuts Danny’s nose off you know going in the back straight so sounds like a plan SS can he put it into place and Oxford need a plan got to get something from this heat they’ve got heat 13 and 15 to come and we know when you face hip switch you’re going to be heat 13 15 the red lights are on likelihood is is that uh is that because of the track doctor [Music] maybe we can just see uh Jamie there we go we can see it on screen hopefully that’s the end of that red lights will go off no I think they’re waiting oh no yes I think it was the doctor I think they’re waiting on possibly yep red lights have gone off here we go so as we were saying Oxford needs something from this 13 and 15 to come we know that EML we know that Jason will gate terrific gate from Nikolai Clint Ashton’s putting his back wheel out in the dirt but it’s going to be tough from there Nikolai clink can he hold that first place there Danny King all all over the outside of him looks like Nikolai will hop that coming down the home straight into lap two yeah I think nikolai’s got the gate right but I tell you what Danny looks racing is he going to have a DI here he has Nikolai tried to close the door can he get the cut back he might get the line coming back up the inside no Danny’s held it tough move there from Danny to get himself out front now nikolai’s got to be really careful cuz Keenan’s buzzing all over the back of him yeah Nikolai is trying but Danny was smart he buil up up the momentum that the wet the wetness on the outside DED a little bit and the outside line worked for him yeah Nikolai got to be careful here cuz Keenan looks quick behind him he’s all over the back of him what can Keenan do going into the last two turns Nikolai sensible tight line yeah looks like he’ll hold that second place win for Danny King Nikolai Clinton holds on to Second Keenan Ru in third and Ashton boan at the back but it’s a two-point Advantage again for the witches for the first time tonight they have got a Sixpoint lead Danny King terrific stuff from Danny I think that might have been Thompson in in third I think that might have been a reserve [Music] replacement I think seven I think it was yeah I think they did a reserve replacement pick up on that apologies everybody we don’t get those coms from the pits and it’s funny being so high up you kind of you kind of do lose it a little bit from where we’re from where we’re they all got the same same covers and same suit you can’t spot anything I know never mind doesn’t matter we’re a 4-2 to whip Swit that’s what we know Danny King was the winner Nikolai Clint held on to second with Dan all over the back of him and then Ashton bojan at the back again so a 4-2 Advantage makes it 33 points to 39 it switches favor this is going to be a long long big call now for Oxford to get anything from this a two minutes are straight back on for Heat number 13 is this the race s switch just uh turn the switch um and take it beyond what Oxford can sort of claw back it’s going to take a big but again it’s magic and bomber and if any two can can do it the favorable Gates as well so they’re going to have to make it work here we go massive massive heat 13 Magic yanowski on the inside in red seven points for him so far MSI footing off he goes off of gate two in white seven points plus one for him so far Chris Harris he’s off gate three in the blue helmet color Five Points so far and Jason Doyle off of gate four where nobody has won this evening what can he produce from there he’s done it from everywhere else Rory can he do it from four yeah unbeaten um but he has got that that uh indifferent gate four and uh but he’s been gating that well and and that fast it wouldn’t it what wouldn’t put past me that he just comes off four and gets across a lot of him or like you said earlier on makes that cut back cuts at the inside which you can do here if you get the line right so it’s magic yanovski it’s Chris Harris it’s emov and it’s Jason Doyle massive heat 13 in the context of this meeting ips switch could all but sew this meeting up right here if they can get a heat Advantage but magic yanowski and Chris Harris if any two Riders can stop that from happening it is those two and like we were saying doy finds himself off of gate four where we haven’t seen a heat winner all even love a Big E 13 love a big heat 13 and his big names it’s a big moment here we go heat 13 taking up away we go em off of two Jason’s working hard out there he’s going to get a big long straight coming down that back straight Jason em F about front bomber in second magic yoski in third bom’s got the Run Jason’s got the run as well bomber takes the lead Jason gets himself up into third round magic EML throws it back at him bom’s got that wide line down the back straight where gives you speed has he just stolen a little bit of a March there Rory doy starting to build it up just em Em’s actually getting in do a little bit but I think they’ll probably set for the 33 now but what a ride from bomber yeah what a ride can magic do anything for the bat a he’s just lifted there coming off off of turn two bom’s out from Jason Doyle and again like you saying Jason looks a little bit quicker than Emil and Em’s fa in his run a little bit Yeah D did definitely has more Pace than em but Emil’s getting on the curve can he do it almost made it stick coming up the inside there I don’t think it’s going to happen for them now bble with the win EML Second Jason third magic in four terrific heat again could have gone anyway for a couple of laps there and and on that last lap EML just seemed to come from nowhere at the inside of of bomber I did say that that the inside just off turn two seems to just generate a little bit more grip cuz I think it drops off cber coming off too and and you lose speed and uh but I think that’s why Peter sh put bom at number five pulls out a big win and E3 for that reason absolutely so we move to 36 42 it’s a bit of a gap now for Here We Go 3-3 score line bomber with the win EML Second Jason Dole third it’s hard to see magic yanowski in fourth but when you see who’s got in front of him it’s you know it can happen to anybody in that massive big heat 13 so it’s a six Point Gap six points going into the last two Heats pretty pretty much sums that how bad gate for really is yeah really really if Jason can’t do it here we can see the start again magic again just not the bik just not gripping from the start he’ll be frustrated um definitely didn’t have the pace in that one and L doy went big there yeah it was hard in the first corner to go that wide and uh Emma we probably a little bit you know couldn’t youve seen that a he you know probably should have committed cut the run off from bomber because you know where bomber’s coming he’s coming right the outside yeah that’s right and I think it was in that next lap where Jason was trying to go around EML wasn’t it and EML didn’t know was there EML stopped that run and and that put P to Jason’s heat if he’ got around him there this looks like TR it might have been a different story TR now yes Charles coming out Charles there or is it injury rer replacement is Charles the next Rider down on injury R and R yes of course cuz it is an injury Rider replacement absolutely Ro spot spot on with that one and that again just gives a little bit of Hope to the Oxford boys it makes heat 14 for Oxford very strong we looking at we’re looking at Rowan and Charles against Adam Ellis and Dan Thompson Dan has been superb tonight even if we did miss him in that last one yeah so Rowan straight up into game four but Ran’s got the he’s got that gate the Dody gate for yeah and that’s where it started swung recking it s’s favor coming into this heat so it’s now or never for the Oxford spers we’ve got to get something out of this heat if we’re going to get anything out of this meeting Adam Ellis he’s off the inside in the white helmet color Four Points so far Charles W in blue for Rockford he’s off of gate two in the blue ham he’s four points so far tonight Dan Thompson the surprise package of the evening maybe oh no we’ve got a ride a switch cuz that’s Keenan R coming out now so it’s Keenan R he’s out in yellow instead of Dan Thompson in this one I can see Keenan down there so it be Keenan R in the yellow helmet color there we go off of gate three and Rowan Tungate he will go off of gate four in the red helmet color so a big big heat six-point Advantage as we go into heat 14 Oxford have got to take something they’ve got to get a heat Advantage from this meeting we know in the context of the these meetings this season there is an aggregate point to go for but you don’t want to be chasing an aggregate Point going into an away leg of a meeting that is what Oxford could face if we don’t turn this round and get anything out of this heat so we’re looking at Rowan tongay Charles Wright Keenan R Adam Ellis he 14 3642 the spes need something from this heat what can they get great Star off of two from Charles right can Rowan get across from four can he get around the outside of Keenan going down the back straight no he can’t now the pressures on Raw throw and tongate at the back what can he produce from there he’s got to get himself up into a point scoring position Charles made the start but as Rowan got the pace to get in in the monks of it I think he does but I tell you what the if TT L I think are getting in each other’s way they are a little bit Adam looked a little bit through the middle he’s going to split them between what a move what a move from Rowan Tong absolutely superb if as if the switch boys were tripping each other up a little bit there yeah they didn’t know where to ride and Ran’s got so much pace and this is definitely what Oxford needed massive massive heat in the context of this meeting and the aggregate bonus Point as well Charles wght he made the gate he’s gone he’s won this heat bar in anything spectacular on the last turn but Rowan Tong what a move to get himself up to Second fantastic 5-1 awesome for the Oxford spies in that one and the first 5-1 of the evening keeps him in the handun what a result massive result Rowan what a move we knew he had Pace I was talking to him earlier you know he’s the kind of guy that you know high on confidence he generat so much speed he didn’t Panic either cuz he he dropped back quite a far away and then all of a sudden he one lap he just generated so much speed and it was almost you could see the if tot Riders didn’t know where to go that’s right yeah terrific noise being made by the Oxford faithful on the home straight here as the boys come around but you called it going down the backat straight it was almost like Adam and and K getting in each other’s way I I think you know uh Keenan had more Pace than Adam and and I just don’t Adam didn’t commit to the inside or the outside and they just got in each other’s way yeah and that’s what’s resulted in that massive 5-1 for the Oxford spers great heat Advantage for them Charles Wright with the win Rowan Tong worked his socks off to get himself up into that second place fantastic move cutting in between Adam Ellis and Keenan Rue who brought home in third and fourth so it’s 4143 we’ve got ourselves our last Heat de side up are we going to get a super heat I was just I was to say that it’ll be interesting on I’ll tell you what gate position couldn’t be more important for this last race so we think we think ips switch won the toss took one and three I tell you what if that’s the case Oxford no brainer one and three and and who’s your pick he going to be Rowan over mji no it’s got well yes it’s got to be Rowan and bomber yeah and I think you let bomber probably go from the outside you know he’s that kind of ride out bom’s um Rowan’s gated a little bit better maybe not that one but he did have gate four so give Rowan the gate gate one let bom have gate three dominate dominate the corner this is where I’d love a mik in amongst this like this is what as fans can’t get down there that quick this is what I love if you could hear what’s going on the conversation they’re having now be a real insight got to be Rowan and bomber for yeah and we know he’s obviously coming out for it switch it’s going to be their Powerhouse packing what a move that was from hope we can get a little scan on that again in a minute it was an incredible move from Rowan to cut between the two of them still no winners from gate four seven wins from heat gate three four from two three from one very even the inside two gates but gate three is the one who do you pick out there ah it’s got to be Rowan and and bomber I think the way bomber had so much speed then well him and Rowan if they get in front of doy I think they’re the only ones that can then can contain doy um and I think bomber got a little bit more track knowledge as well we’ve seen you know he can make the outside work I’ve noticed they’re not doing a track grade so they’re going to leave that outside line cuz I no doubt you know that’s where bom’s going to be obviously we know it’s going to be Emil we obviously know it’s going to be doily um the question is who’s going off four in my eyes I think it will be Emil Emil will go off four because Jason just is gating better and to get the win put d off two you know get out in front and go and that would that would obviously be what Richie and Chris would be saying yeah and I think he probably called that that’s uh that would be the way to go I think cuz Jason’s looked so fast he’s gated from everywhere apart from four he was quick and 13 I think if he got the run I think he could have had a crack at bomber but you know sometimes you know they probably did think well we’ll just sit here will get the 33 but he did look quicker and again it’s it’s it’s still Oxford they’ve still got to get a heat Advantage they’ve got to 5-1 or 42 to get anything out of this meeting otherwise it will be it switch walking away with ma maximum points from this one which then puts them in the ascendency when we come to the second leg and the aggregate the aggregate point on the [Music] line trying to spot I was trying to spot helmet colors yeah I I couldn’t see oh no D’s going off that yellow yes but again it’s you know it’s when you’ve got when you’ve got those two it’s uh it is a tossup they’re both as strong as each other yeah either of them can do the work y there’s Jason with the yellow helmet on but that is if we think they are off two and four yeah we don’t know for sure we’re still guessing but it’s a guessing game it’s a guessing game we’ll work on that for the next time we uh and I tell you what I’ve Just Seen Charles wght walk with a blue helmet a blue helmet would they go Rowan and Charles it worked in the last one Charles made a superb game I’d be very bomber did him a huge favor of just nullifying and heat 1 winning that um and that’s why pet sh put him there you know he can make you know bring them performances and um Rowan’s had a great great night I think he’s in for a big year um he’s one of them riders that are knocking on the door of a Grand Prix he’s like right Brady kurts at the minute they are knocking on they can run with these guys abroad as well so uh for me it’s uh yeah big big year yeah yeah ah bombers off one so just have a quick look for you now while we’re uh we’re just waiting current score Lester 44 Sheffield 46 so switch big away win they take a six-point Advantage into that second League fixture back at ipswitch 4842 bomber and Rowan rightly coming around to take some Applause from the home crowd as well superb Speedway meeting let’s just confirm that heat5 for you Jason D with the win EML sting off second big 5-1 for RS witch Rowan tongate and Chris worked hard but when you’re chasing EML and Jason it’s always going to be really difficult um so a 42 48 score line to the IP switch wit is this evening uh rid with the night for you Rory um you know I I think you can’t see past Dy but I think Thompson I think Thompson was was one of them Riders who who made that little bit of difference he scored the points we didn’t necessarily think he would score no and and I said that to Chris I said you the Jenkins and Thompson you know yes you know we know what they can do but you know putting putting it on track that was the big question you know at the start of the year and uh they’re proving it they’re proving me wrong cuz I just didn’t think uh they were going to be that good in the sense of scoring the them amount of points and we can see we can see the Achilles heel there for for for Oxford really you know you look at Nikolai with three points there in that middle order of the side he struggled tonight he got it in his La got it together in his last Heat but they could they needed something from him in those in these first two Heats yeah and Nikolai will go away extremely disappointed and um look I think the big thing now is is is hoping Louis is okay you know cuz if it is something serious that really changes the Dynamics of Oxford so who do you bring in if he has done something more serious than than than than just maybe you know just a muscle or something like that but yeah and if we look at the ipwi side like you’ve already called Jason out 13 plus one great night for him looked superb out front didn’t he yeah and uh and in that big race as well look that’s it was a Grand Prix Rider First Corner uh EML solid um and uh look you look at Jenkins there it it doesn’t look good but he was in the mix time he was taking points off riders that that we probably wouldn’t have said he would have and like you say number two is a hard place to score points 100% two’s hard and to get five away from home probably the first time he’s ridden at two as well yeah so you know positive signs for switch great result for them fantastic speed meeting it was close all the way through I think that put tip switch top of the table now it would possibly make him jump above yeah for sure for sure we were just looking at the other two meetings this evening we can wrap up with them going into the last Heat at Kings Lin have they raced that now they have it was a 48 Bell viw 42 score line for for B getting a away getting another way result Pi they are really like away from home they’re surprising me in the sense that it looked like a side that’s built just for Bev you know on paper that’s what it looked like but they are getting the results away from home so LMO will be chuff to bits absolutely chuff to bits without un luck I think we’ve already picked up on it was a 44 46 Sheffield Leicester score at Leicester as well so three away wins this evening yeah bit of a surprise bit of a turnup so there we go fantastic thank you for joining us tonight bit of a
