there’s my bux one two and a laptop ah good morning Nemesis uh put that one in the foot Well for now welcome in folks for another video on myself Darren class 1 hcv driver here in the UK and it is currently 4 a.m. on a Monday morning and the reason why I’ve got an extra bag today that is because is an overnight pack because I am 95% chance of staying out tonight I’ve got three drops around Bristol and then I’ve got a collection on the way back up conducting a little bit of vehicle checks in the morning some things you need to look for is make sure no loose nuts there’s no damage to these wheels tire tread is looking good condition all the lights and the side Mark lights are all in good working condition right so make sure your Airlines and everything are all tucked away nice and neat don’t drop them on the floor by the way don’t be that guy who just drops everything on the floor and doesn’t put them up there cuz they could in grease that way checking the brake lights on the fence make sure they are good working condition en need to drink in the cans stucked away nicely don’t worry them cans I won’t drink them in one go they will be there probably like 3 or four weeks to be honest the joys of trying to untangle straps first thing in the morning try and get the right ones where they need to be so I can strap my loads up so was a pain in the back side though wasn’t it when we were together like this load is now all secured and we’re ready to hit the road but before I do hit the road i’ like to say a big shout out to one of my oldest friends Dave I’ve not seen you for quite some time mate and it was good to see you on Saturday night mate I hope you had a good one for the first destination I’m realised looking like a 4-Hour drive it’s saying to get there for half fast 8 however it’s going to be about 9:00 when I do get there you know how it is traffic and all getting past birmingam Sunny Bristol here we come hopefully it should be nice day it started to look like a really really nice day looking at the clouds and stuff in the sky it’s uh very warm as well at the moment currently 10.5° which not too bad for 5:00 in the morning and look how Bloody light it is at this time in the morning it’s fantastic isn’t it it really is I love it it’s when you’re starting work at 5:00 in the morning and it’s pitch black and freezing cold it’s an awful job but when it’s like this that’s fantastic you wake up in such a good mood don’t you but anyways let’s get some zoom zoomy travel on the go shall we [Music] w [Music] [Applause] [Music] ah the time is just hit 9:00 in the morning I started work 5 hours ago that feels really weird saying that I always get assp up by people as like isn’t that hard during long days like when you do 12 or 15 hour days um no it’s not really because as a as I’ve just said just then all I’ve done is drove from Warrington down to y north of Bristol and it’s pretty much 5 hours from when I first started my job and it feels like 2 hours that I’ve been in work it’s just gone so so quick and yeah so I don’t mind doing the long hours you get used to it it just flies past you look at your time like oh right okay been a work 5 hours already that’s all right not bad just got another 10 to go today is probably going to be quite a long one but yeah coming up to like halfway through at least anyway it’s not too bad I’m just around the corner from my first delivery point over in yat my second delivery point is about quart of a mile from the first one he’s still in the Y but I’ve just got to drive dri a long way around um I think it’s in here now on the left hand side I think it’s on that estate but cuz I’m in a hcv I’ve got to drive all the way around I can’t just cut through cuz you got a low bridge Cuts right through the middle of the estate I think it’s a Railway Bridge of some [Music] sort it’s coming over this way stay out the yellow box yeah this is the one Y come on mate come forward [Music] little bit tight one to get in isn’t it guy see me was like yeah no I’m going back in so I’ve got to drive over here then I’ve got to do a little bit of a blind reverse to left this is most probably the only time that I do the reverse that you do on your test so when you’re doing your HTV lessons you do a little bit like an send so you’re reversing back but you’re doing a little bit blind and then coming back on yourself to go straight now people who have done the test before you know exactly what I’m talking about so we’re doing a slight turn on the steering wheel to the right just looking at angle the [Applause] trailer and it’s literally like a quarter of the turn of the wheel now back to the left [Applause] [Music] I’m going to keep it about there now I want the trailer to go that way so I’m steering a little bit to the left again going a little bit like quarter turn on the steering wheel nothing much and then slowly just turning it to the right go straighten [Applause] up easy as that jobs are good nice and quick in and out time is now 9:35 and 16 pallets [Music] ligher Let’s see we can get out of here all right let me through [Music] go job number two it’s only 5 minutes away if that and then I think it’s four pets or might be six petts actually getting taken off at the next one and then the last job in Bristol for delivery oh little bit of a pain in the back side last time I went there at least I know where it is this time anyway so makes a bit easier when you’ve been there once before right the next job is just over in on left hand side enough space for me to get on there don’t think there is what I might have to do spin it around then I might reverse back a little bit I think that would do me there nicely just taking over the carp and a bit of an angle whilst I’m getting unloaded might as well take advantage of this weather and start working on the tan a little bit bloody beautiful out here today it really is job number three is just south of where I am now down towards Center of Bristol and is currently 12 M and 30 minutes drive but before I do get there first plan of action is trying to find somewhere I can just take a nice little break I’ve had it on POA earlier on when I nipped to service stations on the way down had a quick 15 minutes then so that covers my working time directive now I just need to cover the driving time directive I’ve got 48 minutes left on driving [Music] it should be a nice little layby somewhere down the [Music] [Music] road so I’ll take it a little bit wider there right let’s cut through little countrysides then to get there as well all okay let put a little bit of a spanner in the works so I can’t actually go this way cuz the road’s closed due to road works right then right then what we going have to do is go back up wher it came from jump onto the M5 and then hit the M5 southbound instead that’s probably the best best way to do it sat’s going have a bit of a little hissy fit though it’s going be like turn around turn around you’re going the wrong way like no it’s all right it’s closed can’t do that [Music] I’m just goinging through some little village called winterborn yeah I think it’s winterborn I’ve seen it the road is mon at the moment is winterborn Hill sounds out some out Game of Thrones will doesn’t it got bit bit Road works as well hopefully it don’t get too narrow which it looks like it might be getting quite narrow try to swing it around just have to be very careful of the trailer cutting a corner taking out the wall or the tractor it’s quite narrow around here though isn’t it on these Hedges I think the route that I’m going on at the [Music] moment I don’t actually know where I’m going I’ve never been down this way before being honest so I think I’m going to be joining the M32 I think it is which takes you pretty much to center of Bristol let get P these like keep the indicator on to the right right what’s this bridge right left hand side it’s okay 15 ft and 1410 so I’m all right for that still not find a laby or anything just yet just hoping the roads get a little bit bigger though soon sure it be something over between now and then enough break driving through the center of Bristol now and one of my subscribers actually mentioned on the comment section that Bristol is the graffiti capital of the UK you can see that really can’t you when you’re driving in to towards the city even on people’s like the houses and balconies have just been graffitied with spray tags and stuff now I don’t mind the wall art style I think they look really really good don’t they but I don’t really get the name tags all over the place like all these names you can see all over the top of these Bridges and stuff but some of the graffiti art oh my God it’s amazing really is [Music] if we come across from later on I’ll try and show you about a mile and a quarter now from the delivery destination last one for the day then got the collection on the way back up I’ve not managed to find somewhere for break just yet I’ve got 21 minutes driving time left so I’m okay on that side of things hopefully I can find something safe to park up when I’m at this delivery location it’s I’m quite a big estate so should hopefully be all right well that was a nice little tight yard to try and spin around in you got to come off the main road here see my tire tracks that’s my trailer spinning it there and then this is on the side so you literally got SP it on the spot going around final job for the day is north of Bristol and it’s right on the little Coastal point which is over here by a place called new town so it’s by I think it’s the river 7 is it is that River 7 a double check see it comes up I’m sure it is anyway I think seen on Google Maps coming up I’ll find out when I get there if it is a river 7 or not but I’m sure it is though for me to be unloaded at this place it’s a tiny y just SC a bit smaller now hopefully I can take a break on one of the roads up ahead thank you so the place I’ve just delivered to I believe they’re part of the Bristol Fruit Market which is in the center of the trading estate that I’ve just been to right I’ve got 13 minutes left on driving time try and find somewhere um go there no doesn’t want M can get through that way so we can get around this direction okay I’ve got the range that over there there’s no parking hcvs unfortunately on these retail Parks you kind of get fued off finally arrived at where my collection is however driving past all these bees there’s quite a lot of drivers asleep in the cab so it looks like they’ve been here for some time hopefully the place I’m collecting from around the corner I think it’s this unit over here hopefully do a little bit quicker yeah I’m just going to pull over a quickly because whil driving around this estate I’ve just spotted something that caught my eye we’ve got a set of stairs where did they go oh that’s actually pretty nice and there’s the reason why it caught my eye and that ladies and gentlemen is the r s like seven but it’s got Ern at the end really wind in the air though little bit of a blind reverse to get on to one of the Bays so I’m just going do a couple of shuns to get on it so we can see it a little bit better [Applause] too bad there actually get lined up on the bay and I’ve got a big brick wall on my right hand side have careful with that [Applause] [Music] take your time reversing back there we are straight onto the bay and now it’s just a waiting game waiting for that green light to change to red and then back to green finally got the keys back finally got the green light finally we can go home and for the little journey home I’m looking about 6:00 tonight possibly getting home for not too bad 150 mil looking at around 4 hours traveling time I’ve got that on the clock I could make it home tonight it turns out I’ve just looked at the paperwork and it’s booked in for tomorrow getting delivered in to crew now because for me to get back to Warrington for tonight I’ll be driving past crew so I’ve run at work told them obviously I’ve got this on for tomorrow um I don’t think it’s booked in until like 9 or 10:00 tomorrow morning so I’ve got plenty of time so I’ve just said to what I’ll do then I’ll pull up at Stafford Services cuz they’re quite decent Services then to be fair and they’re quite secured as well get a good location on the parking as well so it’s not too bad and then I could then go to the delivery point tomorrow morning I’m just debating that’s we do Stafford are Keel Services I think Keel might be a bit better actually for crew isn’t it cuz I could come off at the junction after instead choices choices I’ve got plenty of different choices but I’m in no rush so hopefully I should be pulled over by 5:00 and that’s still like a 13-hour shift was not too bad and then I just chill out all evening then and not worry about rushing around yeah I’m going to do that yeah I’ll go for Kure Services if possible anyway got some really nice views around this area though when you driving around it’s lovely isn’t it all out in the countryside any day of the week I’d rather be driving around these type of Roads instead of up and down the motorways are anywhere near London this City in the capitals keeps yourself I rather nice Countryside in the middle of nowhere thank you very much time is now 4:00 and it’s just hit the 12th hour of the working day so far already and yep you guessed it redw Birmingham so I’m on the M5 at the moment going through Birmingham West and yeah traffic it’s really really heavy this time of day I don’t know why it’s so heavy at the moment I wonder what the building here on the left hand side as well there’s quite a few interesting curves getting built there you got a bit of a ski slope on the left hand side by the big tower and then at the back where the crane is looks like a bit of a an arch or something don’t know it could be some type of power plant Maybe or some type of fat trick like to see why would you got why you got a big steel chimley there yeah I’m quite interested to actually all that if anybody knows thanks in advance it’s currently taking about 25 minutes to 30 minutes to get to this position since last SP it probably 3 miles that I’ve traveled if that it’s really slow at the moment average speed doing about 12 mph so it’s uh yeah it’s it’s taking a while to get past all this lot pardon it shouldn’t hopefully be too long though before I’ll be at Stafford services sorry my um Ser started activating itself the voice control so hopefully when I get past this bit and then past wolver ampton Junction it shouldn’t be too bad for the rest of the way as I said before staying over at Stafford so it’s a decent service station I can get up in the morning and go straight up to crew then no problems what what probably be a 6:00 start tomorrow morning I reckon or get up at 6:00 and start at 700 get there for half 8 if you could get in early bonus if not then I’m just waiting around for an hour and a half then so it’s not too bad I think it’s 10:00 booking now the currently got it planned for so fingers crossed didn’t they can accept it early and just like magic it’s 5:00 and I’m pulling rning now for the services for the night over at Stafford I don’t know what’s happened me din it though to be honest with yeah cuz I get A1 food voucher which is nice and it’s a flip up between Burger King KFC or one of the noodle bar places and I’m probably going to go towards the noodle bar to be honest with you oh actually KFC have that really nice burger don’t they with cranberry sauce I don’t if they’re still doing it I remember having one of them a while back but it’s just overpriced isn’t it B King and KFC I do like my needle boxes though I do like them ones let’s have a look in here now what we like what like for coming in so we got plenty of spaces here but they are paining in the back side to get in and out and I can see a little bit of a gap there in the where the trailers are see if we can get into this next one instead no let’s reverse back a little bit and left into here and I’m going to park up right on this one not too bad should be nice and safe here yeah I F I’ll do it there for the night I’ve got my pillows up there already got two pillows uh sleeping bag so that’s my bed for the night all made up nice and easy it’s what we got to keep it nice and simple uh the overnight bag this one um inside I have all my washing gear I bring a different jumper as well so I can just relax a little bit more my own clothing um I’ve got some flip-flops for the showers cuz they’re always really important to have towel stuff to brush my teeth for what night in the morning have a wash feel a little bit fresh what’s so so for now that can go up there cuz I don’t need that for the rest of the day and spare clothes as well for tomorrow so that’s out the way so for the rest of the evening I’ve got my Mac with me get a bit of Netflix on do the video editing for today’s Vlog get it uploaded so you guys can watch it and then that’s it really a nice and quiet one overall so I’ve ended up going a sticky chicken with noodles some noodles in there somewhere see hopefully taste nice and since the weather’s so nice at the moment I thought I’ll trink Myself by having a nice little picnic in the sun nice little Fountain and that not too shabby not too shabby and you what the chicken it’s not the best but it’s not the worst at the same time can’t complain for 250 anyway that is me set up for the night so I’m going to leave it there I’m going go for a nice little walk after another video editing join the views if it’s getting blown around at the moment so problem
