I went to see my mate Lee at Velo Atelier who did an amazing job as usual 💪🏼. All that was left do after the build, was to take her up the biggest local climb….. the dreaded Edge Hill 😬

I told you the cycling Vlogs were back it’s new bike day baby this is the first time I’ve seen this bike by the way a come [Music] [Applause] on I told you the cycling Vlogs were back and today is a special special video because it’s new bike day baby a come on I am on my way to collect my brand new specialized s Works tarmac sl8 and not only am I going to be collecting that and then going to be taking it out to one of the steepest dirtiest darkest Hills Local to me and putting it for its Paces to see if I can get a new PB so make sure you watch the whole video enjoy the moaning enjoy the groaning I will have no fun going up this hill you just wait and see let me first quickly just show you my current bike the bike that I’m going to be retiring I’ve had it nearly 4 years now she is absolutely beautiful the sl7 all singing all dancing but there is a new model in town the sl8 so I thought you know what Springs around the corner weather’s about to get a bit better I am going to treat myself I’m nearly at the bike shop come on let’s go here here he is the main man himself the best bike builder in all of the land this guy you know Lee Prescott at valier um you’ve got a bit of a present for me right I have is it special it’s a bit of a beast come on right let’s go I can’t I can’t hold it any longer let’s go let’s go let’s take a look right look at my this is the first time I’ve seen this bike by the way first time I’ve seen it a come on mate mate have a look at this ready oh oh my gosh talk to me about some of the best bits on this then mate well it’s it’s it’s got a whole load of kind of non-standard Parts on it that are just exceptional for start we’ve got the brand new Shram r which isn’t even due out for a couple of months so this is the first new shr red you put on a bike right I I won’t lie I didn’t even know it was the new stuff so Shram thank you really appreciate that this is beautiful and then we’ve got the full gamut of ceramic speed kits we’ve got the the camic speed bottom bracket and tension adjuster which is like such a nice way to sort out the the dug bottom bracket size pulley Wheels have a look at them Beauties and then we’ve got the brand new nsw zip Wheels with the new decals those decals they just pop don’t they yeah oh oh they pop so much so I’ve got the 454s on my tarmac that I was riding just a minute ago but these ones they they look so good they look so so good we got the nice one piece bath from robot which is like super clean mate you’ve done an incredible job um if you’re into your white build okay get yourself over to the V Italia YouTube channel I’m not joking when I say he’s one of the best in the land he is incredible go and check out some of his videos um and like I say if you like your bike build videos have a little watch of [Music] this y yeah he yeah ah [Music] [Music] yeah right just about to head out on the Beast before we do though Hub check time you ready listen to this oh oh I could fall asleep for that come on let’s go and this is that dirty Hill I was telling you about sunrising Hill here in warshire it’s only 1.3 km long at an average grade of 7.2% however there is 100 m of total ascent and the second part of it averages out at 15% grade my PR is 5 minutes and 52 seconds an average watchs of 325 so this is going to hurt come on sh [Music] we oh my God oh my God oh oh it’s disgusting oh the burn oh my God I can’t even stand up that’s disgusting right that’s it so I’m rising hope you enjoyed the video big shout out to Lee Prescott at valalo one of the world’s best bike builders not even joking um let me know in the comments down below what you think of this new beach that I’ve got that felt lovely going up there I’ll give you the result of the climb and whether I beat my PR in about 2 minutes time when I’m sat in the car and I saved it to stra oh that was filthy in a minute right we’re still about 10 minutes after I’ve got off the bike and I’ve still got this the worst scky feeling it’s disgusting um anyway the results are in okay I have saved my Garin synced it to myraa um my previous PB 5 minutes 52 seconds 325 watt average today I went up there in 5 minutes 14 boom yeah um at an average wattage of 350 Watts um yeah I think I can absolutely smash that I can go over 400 watts up there I’m pretty sure of it um wow that was painful um I’m going to ride home though Jamie you’re going to drive yeah I’ll drive Wicked I will see you all soon more cycling Vlogs [Music] coming [Music]
