The Northern Lights could be visible across parts of the UK again this weekend.
The Met Office said the phenomenon could return once more in its aurora forecast.
According to the national weather service, there is a slight chance that solar storms could be observed this week.
Adding: “Mainly background aurora conditions are expected, however there remains a slight chance of glancing Coronal Mass Ejection impacts overnight on 17 May into 18 May. These may bring some limited enhancement to the aurora, with the slight potential of allowing for some visibility as far south as northern Scotland or similar latitudes.”
Earlier this month the night sky was ablaze with vibrant colours, delighting stargazers as far south as Berkshire, Cornwall and Kent.
Greg Brown, astronomer at Greenwich Observatory, shared his excitement, but also injected a note of caution, citing the inherent unpredictability of solar storm predictions.

the Northern Lights could be visible in the UK again in the next few days according to experts last weekend the night sky was Ablaze across the UK in Scotland Northern Ireland parts of northern England and Wales the rare event could be seen as far south as beire Cornwall and Kent speaking to the mirror Greg Brown astronomer at Greenwich Observatory shared his excitement along with some caution when it came to the unpredictability of solar storms he explains that predicting the next solar storm to any accuracy is all but impossible but added that there has been some signs of another storm approaching within the next few days speaking on the sun’s cycle of activity and the previous solar storm the UK experienced on the weekend of May 10th Brown added quote we are currently at solar maximum when the sun is at its most active and flares sunspots and coronal mass ejections the Bears that produce the storms are at their most common while we remain at the sun’s Peak the chance of a solar storm remains quite High though 5G class storms the type that produce Fridays B of auror are very rare even at solar maximum Brown added that the chance of extreme auroral events will go down considerably until the next cycle in about a decade the last time Brits had a similar view of the night sky was in October 2003 during the last 5G extreme rated solar storm to learn more about where the northern lights are most likely to be visible in the UK people can visit Aurora watch UK

This is weird, shouldn't be so many Auroras visible, even during the solar maximum.
They are radiating us again and calling the northern lights. ( I'm joking )
yay I was gutted I mist it last weekend hopefully I'll be able to see it if the aurora comes back to the uk 🤞
Everyone is so happy that the Aurora is happening again because they missed the last one. Am I the only one terrified by this? I have never ever in my life whitenesses an Aurora in my home town and now there are two event in weeks. Fair to say Earths magnetic field is weakening. Human seriously need to put their minds together and think of a solution to solve this problem.
Hey everyone the sunspot that caused this is currently circling the sun on a 20 day cycle, so it WILL reoccur in a week. The sunspot is 17 times the size of the earth.
Let’s hope the activity isn’t much larger than last week or we might have a Carrington event of 1859 again, that would collapse society!
Oh wow they know whether the suns gonna produce another flare before it even happens! Yea just keep your eye on solar weather, it’ll give you a much better chance than listening to this garbage.
More Harrp experiments then.
It’s not this weekend. Last weekend of may. The sun is currently in the incorrect position, the area of the sun which gives off such powerful storms is not aligned with earth. But will be at the last week of May 2024. Hope you get to see it.
I wish the psychopaths would stop messing with geoengineering weather manipulation under the guise of global warming/boiling.
IT'S MAN MADE ! LOOK UP (HAARP) , HIGH FREQUENCY ACTIVE AURORAL RESEARCH PROGRAM, based in alaska, high powered high frequency transmitter studying the ionosphere,.
Using high frequency radio waves transmitted into the atmosphere/ionosphere to produce light!
I went out Saturday no northern lights but saw the international space station
Those weather modification weapons are going wild
Do your homework you sheep
ASH – SHAHEED – THE ALL OBSERVING – الشهيد 👉👁️💯
Look its not northern lights, just go and see what HAARP is,
Or be brainwashed by bullshit
Is this really a natural occurrence or coindence? Spanish news are now reporting a blue coloured comet that had passed across Spain and Portugal…..
😳🤔
I dont think earth has got much longer, it will probably be the suns activity that will wipe us out to be honest.
That accent is annoying
Yep it's HAARP doing this
😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😅😅😅
Haarp doing more tests this weekend.. great
you mean haarp induced don't you?
The northen lights was actually responsible by HAARP
I can't even see stars… always cloudy or raining. 😂
hope i can get to see them
