I’m trying to improve my technological skills while being stuck in Australia during the coronavirus lockdown. In this video I improve my mapping and youtube skills while sharing a photostory of my cycle-touring journey down the west coast of Finland and across the Åland Islands.

the year is 2020 covert 19 is raging around the world and all of us brave and intrepid cyclists have been stuck somewhere or at least the australian ones have been stuck somewhere many other cyclists around the world are still able to go cycling but those of us in australia can’t cross any borders anywhere so we’re all pretty well stuck i’ve decided to spend my time doing or learning all about the technology of making videos and other stuff in during this lockdown period i’ve published or learned how to self-publish my first book and i’ve sold a whole i don’t know maybe a dozen copies the book is called cycling to the sun for anybody that’s not interested and now i’m learning how to do youtube videos with the photos mainly photos and a little bit of footage which i already had before the lockdown started i’ve been able to chuck a few videos together which i’ve put up on youtube and now i’ve decided to ramp it all up and try to add maps and things to my videos and make them a bit more exciting so an interactive map would be really good at this stage i’ve only got maps with dots or maps with lines but i’m going to work on making an interactive map to put at the start of my video and the other thing i really would like to do is be able to put cards on the end pointing to other videos so we’ll see how we go so anyway this is the third of my series of cycling to the sun videos or photo stories it focuses on going from finland or from the north point of the gulf of both near which is in finland where finland joined sweden all the way down the finnish west coast down to the island islands and across the island the island islands to sweden [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] you
