The day before, in the Lublin Voivodeship region, hail destroyed crops. The Voivode of Lublin commented on the storm damage: “This is a terrible, tragic situation. I saw the aftermath of these weather anomalies myself on Sunday evening. For the first time in my life, I saw plants like currants, strawberries, and raspberries that looked as if they’d been cut by a sharp tool. The losses are total.”
