we’ve destroyed bike locks on this channel before and you guys loved it so this time we have what are considered the most secure locks in the world W wo and we’re going to see how long they last when we attempt to steal our own [Music] bike we’ve got a 10-minute time limit for each attack first up is the Squire strapl lock 35 which RP is at $69.99 it’s a wearable lock sold secure silver constructed from multiple High tensile steel cores directly from the website comfortable to wear and friendly to your bike frame and also impenetrable I can’t even undo it I think this is going to be the weakest luck on the list three two one [Music] go 55 seconds that was like a knife through butter next up Kryptonite Evolution mini we bought this one online it comes with a cable it’s about 85 sold secure gold this one everyone buys a cryp tonight I’m intrigued go after how horrible it was last time bought us ear protectors [Applause] [Music] yeah we didn’t buy Nick any though not you what you’re saying what’s going [Music] on don’t forget that’s your 5,000 bike Nick it’s hot that’s hot he’s done this wrong he should have done it at the top 4 minutes and 4 seconds for the Kryptonite I feel like they’ve improved this lock because both of the arm bits lock into it so if you cut through one like Nick did then you still have to cut through the other one to actually get it off I feel this is still hard yeah way man next we’ve got the Squire chain lock 10 which is about 90 quid and is the best rated one we have done thus far it is a diamond standard lock so we’ll see how long it takes to get through it it’s an ultra tough wearable bike lock with 10 mm of Harden Square alloy steel chain or something or other some big old Metals going on in here let’s get out on the bike let’s it up [Music] go for complete Clarity we bought the Kryptonite Lock all of the other blocks have been provided Ed to us for free by the lock companies I went to a load of trade shows this year and I asked every single Lock Company I could find to send us their best locks that we were going to smash a bits and most lock companies didn’t send us anything so clearly Squire who have sent us by far the most are the most confident in their products it’s on fire it’s hot 4 minutes and 12 seconds you definitely getting me a new bike after this next up we have the Squire stronghold old FL 850 this is a folding lock first time we tested one of these on the channel and it’s rated sold secure gold it also has broken straight away the plastic on the outside which is meant to protect your bike has uh was come straight off don’t a lot more it’s going to come up soon [Music] go 54 seconds quite heavy and bulky to carry that as well isn’t it next one is an Ong guard Pitbull they tell the advertising of this lock towards people who ride mopeds that’s all of their branding this is $ 39.99 RRP which is quite affordable online you can find these much much cheaper about £25 and this is sold secure Diamond seems like an amazing deal [Music] go 3 minutes and 2 seconds that did quite well not the best but not the worst this is the Squire stronghold D16 Max which they claim is an anti- angle grinder lock so let’s find out it’s £130 sold secure Diamond this should ruin Nick’s Day two 1 so a lot like the other anti- angle grinder locks we’ve tested in the past this one has a coating around the outside which is like rubbery not really sure what this does but it’s definitely taking him a while to get through there’s smoke going everywhere doing anything it’s not doing anything it’s like it’s cut through the plastic it’s like obviously gone through the rubber really easily but the metal bar is like it’s just barely scratching it we are on 5 minutes and 22 seconds and he keeps shouting over every now and again and saying it has done no damage at all stop cutting through it stop complaining get on with it next 10 minutes I’m not even through the one side yet oh you’ve actually done more than I thought you were going to have done yeah but it’s like wow interestingly it is unbelievably loud this lock so if someone was angle grinding it they are going to hear it from hundreds of miles away hundreds of miles hundreds of miles away like look those people are there you need to telescope to see them they’re looking over like previous ones we’ve done angled grind just makes dust and it’s like go through blades this just doesn’t doesn’t cut I think it’s got these strips on they’ve welded something on look all over there that I don’t think you can cut through didn’t you throw the key in the river yeah but you said we’ll cut through easily next up we’ve got the hip loock dx1000 which is a 300 anti- angle grinder Diamond bike lock it’s mainly aimed at motorbikes and ebikes but we’re going to put on on a bicycle it comes with a lifetime warranty and this pack in this crazy box this is a pre-production model which also comes with mounting arm that you put on a floor in a garage and then lock it to if you want this full gnarly setup it’s 600 it’s surely it’s Mission Impossible prototype I don’t think it actually is a prototype anymore it’s we’ve had this in the studio for 6 months hlog have been emailing me about every 6 weeks going like oh you making that that bike Lo video yet [Music] go it’s not cutting through it’s turning blue I don’t even want the bike anymore like that’s what 4 mil into it and you be it all day I mean that thing’s changed color that thing turned blue this batter is about to explode that’s a fresh battery and a fresh blade is down to one bar already I’ve lost interest on the bike I mean like I’ll walk I’ll take the bus last lock of today’s video The Squire IC 850 massive chain this is sold secure Diamond again do you Reon he’s going to get through it I think Nick’s running out of energy and batteries one wait wait bloody criminals these days 3 2 1 go oh the watch I’m going to deduct 2 seconds courtesy of my celebration so it was 6 minutes and 25 seconds I think the moral of the story here is by the ones that say angle grounder proof because both of them we we reached our 10minute time limit for they make way more noise and they’re smaller I guess they have a chain one which says angle grinder proof was there much difference between the hip Lock And The Squire The Squire is almost half price compared to the hip loock over to the studio to analyze the results oh why aren’t we in the studio we have to go there the strapl loock 35 took 55 seconds to get through the cryptonite 4 minutes and 4 seconds the chain lock 10 4 minutes and 12 seconds the folding lock 54 seconds Ong guard p bolt was 3 minutes and 2 seconds D16 Max anti- angle grinder the police came cuz it took over 10 minutes the hip loock dx1000 anti- angle grinder also the police came and have arrested Nick and taken him away lastly the IC 850 was 6 minutes and 25 seconds so I feel as if the locks can be put into three categories you have the chain locks and the wearables which lasted about a minute you got the middle bracket which are heavy duty locks but they still lasted about 5 minutes and then the anti angle grinder locks which were 10 minutes plus the original video that we made with a hip lock d1000 which is very similar to the dx1000 just a little bit thinner it took Nick 5 minutes to get through one side of that so we’re talking about 10 minutes if someone’s really committed and has a stack of batteries with them for their angle grinder yeah that’s interesting isn’t it like I’ve never seen a bike Thief change their batteries I wonder how long they do actually go for it for I can’t feel like the sort of four to 5 minute point is actually a good balance between cost and goodness you say that but the D16 the anti- angle grinder lock from Squire is only 130 quid so it’s less than half the price of the hip lock £1 130 £ 130 that is good value but you know that’s obviously still a lot of money for a lock and it would be horrible to have to carry it around places cuz it is a brute it’s the kind of thing that if I was commuting I would probably leave the lock where I very regularly lock my bike so I didn’t have to ride with it all the time so we have here the two Champions and after a 10-minute attack the hip lock did better so granted it’s a lot more expensive but it did perform the best out of all of the locks that we attacked he’s got through about 4 MIM of that whereas that side he nearly got through the whole side nearly all the way through on one side bearing in mind that with these locks you have to go through both sides was going to try and steal a bike that either of these locks were used on they’re looking at 20 minutes to get through the lock is anyone going to try and stop them in 20 minutes probably not no and as everyone pointed out in the last episode probably just cut through the fence instead hold the bike as always thank you for watching let us know if you want us to test any other locks if Brands will give them to us thank you for watching and see you guys soon [Music]

    1. PRICE CORRECTION:
We had a pre-production Squire D16 MAX which is more expensive than the standard D16 at £289.99 – almost the same price as the Hiplok DX1000.

    2. try the chemical skunklock for some fun. then try the squire d16max again followed by the litelok x3 followed by the hiplok x1000 followed finally by the carbon skunklock.

    3. Most thieves cut the bike rack now.
It is only thin. If you lock your wheel and frame to the rack. At least they have to carry away your bike.
Unfortunately, some to a waiting van.
Until the police react to this growing crime, things will only get worse.

    4. The weakest link of all these bike locks are the key hole. The bulky and heavy ones are stupid to carry around while biking. Motorcycle could use them since it is a powered bike unlike bicycles.

    5. Brilliant! Sub $200 bux for a good Lock, and for added peace of mind, I also hide air tags (Galaxy Tags too) on my bikes (I hate thieves).

    6. First off, nice video guys. The lock is only as strong as what it's attached to. Some guy used a good lock and attached it to a tree. Well, the thieves cut the tree and took the bike.

    7. Bike thieves do a considerable amount of damage to a city. Cities could be so healthy with stricter laws and enforcement. Healtheir citizens from riding a bike. Less traffic congestion due to more riders. Less economical strain, as well. More customers for businesses because they won't fear that their bike will get stolen.

    8. Have only seen the D16 max today(a month later) on the official squire website(both locks are listed), the £130 lock looks the same in pictures(don't know about the size being the same or different), can see what happened if the max has no information anywhere. Great video as always..great laugh too with the banter!!
