[Music] We ran out of here. We know how difficult walking conditions these stones are . The reason for this is that we completed Duyalar Street and could not enter because we could not see a suitable Coat of Arms. We see the enormous entrance statue of Rhodes. There is a place in front of one of the 7 wonders of the world. Why do we come here ? We found a newly flowing tap. Of course , from the Ottoman [Music] times. The stones are so old that you can feel them. When you touch them, they are wintery. Would you call them the Middle Ages ? I would say the Stone Age. In fact, it’s like you’re swimming with them right now. Just like that ordinary person, Ninja. It means that the closures can be in size [Music] Hello everyone Hello everyone, yes we have the sea behind us today, but we are not in Antalya , we came to the fetish. Let’s spend a nice weekend, make a difference. We wanted to swim in the sea before the weather gets too cold. Where will we go? Now from here, Rhodes by ferry. We will go to Rhodes, it is known as the Island of Knights, so we are going to explore it. We have been researching it for about 2 weeks. About Rhodes, it is not just an island; it will be a video that will attract your attention with its history and cultural heritage. Maybe this video can be in part. It really is, Rodol is the largest island of the 12 islands and In fact, since it is an island where the administration is based, there will be a lot of places to visit. Yes, we also mentioned that we are going to the parliament. If you are going to Sedat by ferry, you need to get a check an hour before. So, when you buy an online ticket, you cannot go directly to the city. You have to make a check . Let’s go [Music] Yes. There is also a shock tour boat to the port of Fethy, it can be evaluated. We ran and ran, we came on time, but if we hesitate and get our boarding cards, we will share with you the details that will make you feel comfortable . After we learn, we will give you all the clear detailed information, how we got it, how we found it, what we researched, what we consumed, it’s all in this video. Hey, let’s see , we missed traveling, didn’t we? Yes [Music] Yes, he had our boarding cards taken out, we are just waiting for the customs gate to open. Yes, we are going to Sky Sky Marin. Yes, we are very happy that he chose Sky Marin. Thank you, he arranged a vehicle for us and I took our luggage. This vehicle is Kadiz, it is not Sky Marin. Is it written as Sky Marin ? No, Ibus is not ours. Okay, okay, we cut it off . I mean skyman. There are different catamarans. According to their instructions, we will go from here . Aölle Sek. Yes, we have arrived at the customs section. We will check the passports. We are passengers going here . [Music] We passed the customs and got the passport stamps. We are next to you, we are going to get on the erot, the humidity has settled on the beach, it is a little hot, I guess it will rain here, but Rhodes was not showing any rain . And lucky for us, there is a special port tax for this week. There is a place for luggage, it’s nice, they help here while loading. [Music] [Applause] [Music] it’s nice, the seats are comfortable, we were actually sad that we had to sit inside, but it has air conditioning. It’s nice here. There’s even a snack bar for eating and drinking. We can enter here like this. We can list the questions you asked while coming here as follows: How did we make the decision to come here? Where did it come from? How many days did we plan it? Then where can you buy the ferry ticket? When you arrive. If you are coming in a car, where can you park the car and where can you leave it? What should be the first thing you do as soon as you arrive? How long does it take? Actually, we were going to come in the summer . If you haven’t watched our video on Roda, even me, watch it. It’s really nice. Let’s add it here. We were going to come to Rhodes instead , but unfortunately there were forest fires in Rhodes. The flights were also problematic. This place was also problematic. You remember, there was an old fence in the room we stayed in. He said, you know, a difficult friend, we are saddened by such a forest fire. How are the situations? Actually, you can go, it has recovered now. There is no problem. After that, we actually brought forward our ROS plan. By the way, there are too many aents. We scanned the whole area. After it was open, we bought our tickets online. We got into our car. As we went towards the back streets, there were spaces there. They said , "Is it reliable? There will be no problem." Of course, it’s a matter of preference . Depending on the condition of your vehicle, you can look at it as you wish . You also need to spend half an hour parking. This is not like a normal boat tour, of course. You are transferring between years because you need to make a check as soon as you arrive. There are check points at the front of the Customs . After you get the check from there , you remember the queue. There are two offices, I think one is at Tilos and the other is at Sky Marin. However, there is a situation like this, we go there , but it will take an hour in your pocket. When we arrived A [Music] [Applause] [Music] yes [Music] Yes, we got off the ferries, took a taxi and came to our hotel, from where the ferries are. This is where the Kaptus hotel is, it cost 10 euros, we chose a taxi because it was a little far from the city center , our belongings were heavy, now we got to our room and Let’s show you the hotel where we will stay. Let ‘s [Music] let ‘s see. Yes, we will enter our room. Let ‘s show you our room . [Music] from end to end. We did not know that it was at the bottom of the sea. We were stuck with the view , it was an authentic room, it really used wood like this. It is the same as old hotels. There is a make-up table here too. This will be very useful for me. There is a seating area here. We also have a refrigerator. Let’s see, they put a bottle of water in it to cool it down. It’s not bad. He chose a sea view room. It was just nice. If there is a sea view, I wrote, "If it is possible." Thank you, they really gave us a full panoramic pancari room on the 4th floor. Let’s go watch the sunset . [Music] Let’s see [Music] Yes, we came towards the seaside. It is really beautiful. We decided to watch the sunset. The sunset is also very beautiful in Rodol. It is also at the tip of the island. They told us that it was very beautiful , at the western end . Since we were in the hotel right at the end of the room, we went down to the seaside right away, we are sunset today. This is the Greek Island, the other island. If you have been to the nearby islands, if you have not been here before, there may be a perception that it is very close here, it is a little far away, it is right at the edge, you can’t get anywhere. If you have a situation, there may be an exit from here. Take this into consideration, do not see it as too small. It is a big island. If you want to walk to the place where you will stay, it is useful to get to the inner part of the Old Town when you land. Frankly, when I chose it, I said we would walk because I thought it was close , and I made a quick decision. We may have taken unnecessary items with us , but wait a minute, it’s really on the map. It’s really on Google map. You can also look at the cactus hotel and the city center. It’s so close. I said we could walk in 10 minutes , but it took half an hour, but it takes half an hour to the port and the city again. It takes 15 minutes to the center. So yes, you can enter the city center directly from the city center because it is surrounded by walls. There are also car rental opportunities here. If you come here with a team, it would be more convenient to rent a car together. You can rent a car much more cheaply than both taxi and bus. This content is probably in two parts. Yes, you can request it in two parts, one of which is lindos and the other of which you prefer. However , there will be sea in both of them, so it will try to be there. Of course, while we are here , we would like to swim in the sea. It seems to be slightly cool, but the weather seems to be better than Fethiye. The weather is clearer and overcast there. It is humid. There was an atmosphere around the island of Rhodes, it’s always coastal. That’s why if you really love the beach, you will get enough of it here. It is famous for its beaches and in terms of price and performance, it is affordable compared to other Greek islands. They even say that it is affordable compared to Turkey. Meanwhile, do not subscribe to the channel while watching the sunset today. Please don’t forget to like the videos, thank you. Let ‘s see, the sun is setting, I will make the day brighter, I will add this part. Otherwise, [Music] now, Yes, now we are dressed, we are going to the evening labor, we learned a few places from the reception, we got some place recommendations, we will look at them, we will try whichever one we like, let’s see the evening view of Rhodes now. We will have seen it , we will have shown it to you, and we will have eaten our meal and come back. We are very hungry , we need energy, our schedule for tomorrow is busy, so let’s have a nice meal. [ Music ] Yes, we finally found a place for dinner. Now we looked for a fish menu there. We are waiting for that. We went to the restaurant. It was really nice. We will share the name of the food. It was the right choice. We were thinking about which one to go to. I liked this place . Let’s go here. I’m very tired. He said, "But that’s fine. There are some nice places inside the castle. It’s a fish restaurant. I think the places outside are more like this, meat and chicken." You know, there are things you can eat everywhere. We will visit these places during the day and tell you about them, I swear, I wonder, the lighting is really nice at night , we will try to show you some of them and then we will go to our hotel. Stay tuned and get information about the history of this place from the people who live here, and also get information about the beaches [Music ] the future stones are so old that you can feel them when you touch them. I mean, would you say the stones are Middle Ages? I would say Stone Age. I even feel like I’m masked. I only have a head, I have no body. We landed in black . There is a Cruz ship behind us, which has a very big light. There are windmills on our right side , our view is amazing. At the same time, the moon is not full moon, but the moonlight is there, so it is a beautiful view. Yes, we are taking a night walk. At first, we were very tired. It was very difficult until we came to the castle, but after eating, we were hungry, so we were home. We were hungry. Yes, after eating the meal, we felt an energy. We said, ‘Let’s take a walk along the beach. The day and night here are different. [Music] Really , good morning to everyone. Good morning to everyone. A New Day is Born. We woke up around 6 in the morning. The weather here is very nice. We saw that everyone is going to the sea. There were a lot of people going to the sea. We said let ‘s get ready and go to the sea. It’s now 6 o’clock. Now we will go towards the sea . Let’s see. Our hotel view has waves on the right side, no waves on the left side. I guess we will probably enter the sea from the right side and swim towards the left . Let’s see [ Music] The Eastern side of the island is collapsing, wind and waves etc. Now we came to the sea on the West side, there is no wind. The sea is flat like a lake. It’s really strange. Isn’t there only 10 meters between them ? That’s right. We walked from here to there. We arrived. This is like a lake. Let’s enter the sea here. Let’s enter the sea. It looks very beautiful. Exactly. We enter here, there seems to be a border starting from the tip of the island. Look at the people swimming there. The sun is out there. The house is there. It’s beautiful. They are walking around. A Cruz ship passed behind us. Look behind us. There are still so many Cruz ships docking here, two every day . How is our program today? Well, we will see the buildings of Rhodes in the Middle Ages, and we will also see the structures of the Ottoman Empire. There are already so many civilizations that lived here, so many historical monuments. The sightseeing will never end, it is wonderful . Let’s go into the sea [Music] Let’s see how the fish are here. Gold of the sea We didn’t say how it would be possible, we also bought shockers [Music] We came and went into the sea at sunrise and came out. It was really beautiful. The sea had a crystal structure and it was very good for us. Yes, it was great. Sea fish dive with goggles. You don’t dive. You can see 34 meters away immediately. Just like Antalya Konyaaltı, we got ready for the moment . We will go towards breakfast, we are hungry, we will have breakfast and go [Music] [Music] Yes, we had a nice breakfast. After that, we prepared our belongings and we are going straight ahead. We will travel along the coast and introduce you to the important places there. As you already know, it was at the very end of Ros, where that part is, from this line onwards, we will wander around. We will look at it together , we will explore it with you. We will go from this direction to the pier . Come on, let’s see, after leaving our hotel, when you proceed like this, there is a casino . Then we came to the Murat Reis Mosque. Now let’s go around the front and show you there. [Music] Yes, the building you see behind us is the Music School of this place. Is it operated? It looks like an old historical building. It has a historical balcony painted in the form of a red building. The entrance was historical inside. On the side, we see the Kaptan Derya Murat Reis mosque and social complex. I think it was a part of this place . There was a bath similar to Ottoman architecture inside. Now we go around it and enter the Murat Reis Mosque. Let’s go, we found the entrance door at the end of the Ottoman architecture. Now we are going inside. It is sad to see that the restoration work is not continuing, although there is a document about the restoration at the entrance. When we move towards the left, we see the tomb of Murat Reis , the captain of the sea who undertook successful campaigns during the Ottoman period. It really saddened us to see his tomb so neglected . Doğan Murat Reis was buried in Rhodes upon his will. Murat Reis’s tomb was first built in this region in 1609 , and then the construction of his mosque and social complex was completed. It is possible to see the Ottoman tombstones and graves here. 241 The Ottoman tomb is under protection. [Music] The Ottoman sailors of the period would definitely stop by the tomb of Murat Reis while passing around the island of Rhodes. Murat Reis’s nature would bring them luck. They believe that the Murat Reis Mosque is currently closed for worship. When we look through the window, it looks really neglected inside. It looks like this. When we went towards the minaret of the mosque, the minaret was damaged so much that it was about to collapse. Yes, now we will look at the front part of the mosque from the inside to the back. Actually, I was a little sad but a little more happy. The reason why I like it is, you know, it ‘s really nice to come here and leave such a work, we feel like we had a piece of ourselves here too, but the part that makes us sad is that there is a need for maintenance in this part , that is, there is an urgent need for restoration. We are heading towards the port. The island was under Italian rule. It was built using Gothic architecture. This building was currently used as the South Aegean Regional Administration and Governor’s Palace. The statue in front of it is marked on the map as eternal freedom. As we continue walking, we see a historical church at the end of Italian architecture. This church is currently serving the Orthodox people. As we go towards the Rhodes Castle, we see a piece of every architecture on our right and left . Now on our right, we see the agora of the period, which was built with the influence of Arab architecture in the early 19th century. In other words, we see the market place. We see the enormous entrance statue of Rhodes, one of the great wonders of the world. It just needs to be revived. After staying here for one night, we see the statue here. You start to see it slowly , people come to examine it, but they say there is nothing here. I mean, they say , don’t make a mistake, they say there is nothing, we see it, how can you not see it, they say, Let’s cry for a night or two, they say you, they cry, brother, they look, Kiel starts to appear, and it’s such an enormous statue that it looks like the world’s largest. Yes, after Kadir , my speech will be very weak. By the way, it really is. This statue is chosen as one of the 7 wonders of the world . Because it is said to be the largest and most magnificent structure of its time, and in this way it is added to the drawings. We will add those drawings to you here. Visualize it in your mind. Now, if we talk about the history of this place, it was built in 300 BC. At that time, there were Dorians under the rule of Rados. The Dorians defended it successfully in the war against the Macedonian Empire , and then they decided to build a statue here. The size of the statue is 32 meters, to give you a picture, it is the same size as the Statue of Liberty in America. I’m as big as I am. Would you like to add what its position is? Yes, deer. Now they put deers. There are columns with deers. The legs of that column are on the left side. Her left foot is on the right side. So, on the side where the female deer is, her right foot is on the right side. It’s a very big statue with very big feet. First, there was an earthquake in Rhodes and it was destroyed. Of course, there is talk of an earthquake in 228 BC , and then it was invaded by Arabs. And it is said that the remaining pieces were sold by the Arabs and taken to other places. Of course, this is a rumor, there is no clarity, there is no statue in the place of the statue, but after the world. You know, they say that if there are rumors, there is a grain of truth here . By the way, a workshop was held in 2008 about it, so that we can build that monument again, but they also wrote that it is very unlikely that the monument will be real, let’s see, maybe in the future years. The construction begins and we see the magnificent statue image. Next time we come [Music], we enter from the St. Paul gate of the Rhodes Castle after the Rhodes statue. While visiting the castle, do not forget to download the map of Rhodes Castle from the internet to learn the names and periods of the works . Because in front of each work, the name of its architecture and where it belongs . Unfortunately, the Knights of Rhodes were initially employed by doctors and priests for religious purposes. This team, which became rich after the Christians captured Jerusalem, is called the Hospital Knights . It is also mentioned in history as the Hospital Order. Then , with the Muslims conquering Jerusalem, the Exile period of the knights began. By conquering Rhodes in 1309, the Rhodes Knights became The era begins. Knights of R damaged the Mediterranean coasts of the Ottoman Empire. It annoyed the sultan of the Ottoman Empire, Suleiman the Magnificent. Sultan Suleiman and his navy set out to conquer Rhodes. The long conquest phase ended successfully. Rhodes Island After living under the rule of the Ottoman Empire for 400 years, 1 World It came under the rule of Italy during the War and came under the rule of Greece during the Second World War and is now on the territory of the Greek State [Music] Yes, we have come to the entrance of the famous Rhodes Castle, it is really fascinating and it looks big. The knights are 4.5 months against the Ottomans. They are defending against the Ottomans, but since the Ottomans surrounded it, they took this place completely. And then these men here say, "I’m making you free. But you will leave this island . " Music] similes Yes, we came to the archaeological museum, we bought a combination ticket at the Archeology Museum, we can enter all museums with combination tickets, 10 euros. If you want to enter only certain museums, for example, this museum is 3 euros, Grand Monteser is 4 euros, museums have different prices, if you buy a combination ticket, it is valid for all museums for 3 days. Can you enter all the museums inside the Rados Castle ? I think we see Ancient Greek works. Here, of course , since there are many Ancient Greek cities on the Mediterranean and Aegean coasts in Turkey, it is more magnificent to us. Frankly, the building here seems very magnificent to me. The building is also a historical [Music] building built by the Knights of Rhodes. Another name was the Hospital Knights. They built the largest hospital on the island of Rhodes. Currently, this Archaeological Museum was operated as a hospital at that time . The treatment of deadly diseases such as plague was also carried out in this hospital . It was built in the 15th century using Othic architecture. It contains artifacts from the ancient Hellenistic and Roman periods. You can also see the statues and coats of arms from the time of the Knights. [Music] Yes, we continue to tour, they put big cannons at intervals, I think they have Sergen heads lined up on top of each other, in certain parts, mosaic decorations and tile work. We also see the places of the knights here , the places where they stayed, the taps used by the Ottomans, the Ottoman design. taps that we think are [Music] Rhodes Castle and the Palace of the Grand Masters, we are there. Now these buildings were first built by Byzantium and then bought from Byzantium by the Knights of Rhodes. Now we will enter one of their most important palaces. I just want to point out that here Museums 3.30’ It ‘s closing. That’s why it’s better to come early. Now let’s walk around without being in our time [Music] I want to talk about its history while visiting the Palace of the Great Masters. In prehistory , there was a Temple of the Sun God in this region. At the end of the 7th century, the Byzantine Empire built a castle here. When the knights came to this island, they enlarged the Byzantine castle. and strengthened it, turning it into the castle of Rhodes, and at that time It was used as a palace. When it came under the auspices of the Ottoman Empire, this Palace was used as a place where administrative procedures were discussed. Later, it was turned into a prison. As a result of the ammunition explosion in 1856, the Palace was largely destroyed. In fact, most of it was demolished. At the end of the 1930s, when it was under the rule of the Italians, the Palace was rebuilt in the Middle Age style. In fact, most parts of the palace are now left over from the Italian construction. [Music] It was specially built for someone who was using this place for dancing during the Italians’ time, but he could not come here due to World War I , so they left this part like this and used it as a dance room. [Music] On the upper floor of the palace There are the private apartments of the great masters, ceremonial halls, the Grand Assembly halls, the dining room and the Office of administrative services. [Music] While examining the works, do not forget to examine the mosaics on the floor . Many of the mosaics on the floor were brought from the island of Kos, including the mosaic of Medusa dating back to Christ. This mosaic that I am showing now is from the island of Kos. Among the mosaics, the leopard mosaics that caught our attention are really very different. [Music] We are visiting the inner courtyard of the palace. Now, in this part, we see the statues from the Hellenistic and Roman periods [Music] Yes, we have finished the grand bst, that is, we have finished the palace of the great masters. We even have a lock on its door. As I said, it was closing at 3.30. As we entered the museums, we first turned right in Roda, right? Yes, we turned right, first we entered the archeology museum, we went uphill immediately. Because we wanted to catch up as soon as the museum closed. We visited the Grand Master. The inside of the castle, the palace, has an Italian breeze. Ottoman style. The breeze of the Knights took advantage of the breeze. The name of the hill we climbed quickly is Knights Street. Now again. Of course, since it is an important street, we will go down from there. Come on, let’s go [Music] Yes , we passed the knights correctly. Now we climbed this place with fast steps. How difficult are these stones to walk? We knew there were conditions to go to the Palace of the Grand Masters. We had little time. Since it closed at 3.30, we literally ran out of here. But the stones are really difficult to walk on. The reason for this is that they designed these stones to slow down against an enemy or attack that might come from here. In fact, this is the Street of Knights. Let ‘s continue walking to the street. There are also consulates on this street . Since these Knights come from all different races, for example, English Knights and French Knights, there are facilities here where they can stay . As far as I know, is the French Consulate active on this street ? The street really makes us experience the Middle Ages. Will you see, are you alive ? They tell me that it is difficult to walk with these shoes. Yes, it is difficult. The stony road was very difficult for me. Now I saw something here. I wanted to show that the Consulate of Spain was located here between the 5th and 16th centuries. When you enter through this door , can you see the facilities where the Spanish knights rested ? Let’s see if it continues right now . I think there are only Greek writings in the same way, but I read on the internet that the French Consulate is here. We will see the French flag there, the dominant consulate. I think we see the coats of arms of the knights. I think such coats of arms are being built according to their nationality and title. This is the length of the street. This is even the length of the Castle. Because it is possible to see coats of arms, we can say that the places where you see these coats of arms were made by knights. It contains the coats of arms of the knights [Music] These [Music] Yes, we came towards the French consul where the French flag is , we approached towards the end of the street, there is also the place where Cem Sultan resides on this street, Cem Sultan, the youngest son of Mehmet the Conqueror, fought with his brother Ik Beyazıt. He took refuge in the Knights of Rhodes at that time, for fear of being killed because of his loss, and lived there for a while. After that, he went to Europe under the influence of France and the Pope, and there he rejected it in response to the Pope’s acceptance of Christianity and its sanctions . Some sources wrote that he was poisoned and killed afterwards, as a brotherly brother. Beyazit Years later, he somehow takes his body and is buried in his mausoleum in Turkey. At the same time, Cem Sultan of course starts a family because he spent many years here and his lineage from his family continues here. Cem Sultan’s descendants come here and after a while, his children are also here. There were times when he adopted Christianity and showed harmful attitudes towards the Ottoman Empire. When Suleiman the Magnificent conquered this place, he said that he had the children of Cem Sultan’s descendants killed, and those who escaped fled to the Island of Malta and now, Cem Sultan’s lineage still continues there and continues in a Christian way. A very strange story that caught my attention. Cem Sultan did not convert to Christianity and the only one among the princes was the Ottoman lineage who performed the pilgrimage, but their children assimilated over time and converted to Christianity . We have come to the end of the street. Now let’s continue walking and wandering. Yes, we have completed the street of the knights, each of them has their own coats of arms. There is our own coat of arms. We couldn’t enter because we couldn’t see a suitable coat of arms. Now we came up , there is the Grand Master behind us, we have a street on our left, and in front of us is the area where this explosion took place. Now we will talk about it, we are going there. The Ottoman Empire Buray, then there was a church here, they are converting this church into a mosque in this area and turning it into a mosque. After turning it , the gunpowder is forgotten on the minaret of this mosque. It is from that time. That gunpowder somehow explodes on this island and causes a lot of damage, and as you can see in the photo here, the Mosque is completely destroyed. Now they have placed these stairs for us to see. This explosion damaged the structures behind and around it. Let ‘s see [Music] The building we see here is an Ottoman madrasah. They first started with the restoration of it . As you can see, the restoration continues. There was a place in front of it. Why did they take us here? They took us up these stairs . I wonder if the parts of the church are here. [Music] [Applause ] ] [Music] He wrote that his portrait on this street during the Ottoman period was 1853. The island was included in the Ottoman Empire at that time . There was Gunpowder in this minaret, and when it exploded, this place was destroyed. [Music] Yes, as we said, Suleiman the Magnificent conquered the island of Rhodes in 1522. Here too, the Law There is a mosque named after Sultan Suleiman and there is a very cute cat. The name of the mosque is Suleymaniye Mosque . It is a mosque built at that time. It looks like this. We also see the Ottoman architecture . He was a very loved person by the people of Rhodes and used to bring many books and works of art here from Istanbul, including two Quran books. There are 1400 and 1500 yen, both in manuscript form. These were smuggled abroad by tourists who came before. One of Ahmet Hafıza’s grandchildren found this while auctioning it. He says that this is a work that should be protected, and since it was detected later, it was brought back here instead. Even the shelves of the libraries have handmade glass made of cherry wood. If you come here in this part, we recommend you to stop by [Music] We came to the clock tower inside the Rhodes Castle. I thought this place was built in the medieval period because there is no such statement on the internet or here. Ottoman It’s about belonging to the state. Arabic Alf is used here. It’s in Ottoman language, and at the entrance it says that it was built in 1852. It made me think of it as an Ottoman work, but they didn’t put such a phrase at the entrance. Maybe a certain part of it was built by the knights in the Middle Ages, and then I think it was completed by the Ottomans. The Historical Clock Tower was built in Tophane in 1852. It was made by the explorer Ahmet Fetih Pasha. In other words, it is an Ottoman work. Unfortunately, most Ottoman works are not marked on the tourist map of Rhodes. This work is among them. The building surrounding the Clock Tower is a structure from the Byzantine castle. The street you see behind me is Socrates Street. Now we will go down to this Socrates street in a moment . Ottoman The Street where trade was done during the period of the Ottoman Empire , that is, the Street where shopping was done, is currently continuing in the same way, you can already see the Ottoman houses around it. Come on, we are going to İnceğ from the street . You too can see the houses of the Ottoman Empire. While walking from Sokrates Street, there is Hippocrates Square at the end of this street. You will arrive there. Come on [ Music] Now let’s go, after the Street of the Knights and the streets above, there were always stony roads, let me put it this way, there were roads made of small pebbles, it was difficult to walk, now when I came to Socrates Street, it was easier for me to walk because there is a structure designed from marble in places and it makes it easier for you to walk . Kadir According to what he said, these are not marble, they could be marble, that is, they are made of flat stones. By the way, it is a street that makes it easy for you to walk. When we look at the buildings on the right and left , there are leather shoes, jewelry, a kiosk, etc., there are quite a lot of materials, you can buy the main things you can take from here. Yes, this is it . It’s about stones. Children were bringing those little stones as a game and as an occupation. They were giving small gifts or small money to the children. They were taking those stones from them and using them on such roads. What happened ? Did you know that? Didn’t I know that? Really, no [Music] I didn’t know Ottoman. You can see the fountains inherited from our ancestors still flowing. Yes, this is the field mosque. In fact, when this mosque was being built, he said, "My area is not very big. That’s why he asked the neighbors on the lower side and extended it to the upper part of the mosque, thus opening up a larger area for the community there. He also built a tap in the front. Coming here and leaving. We are drinking even this year [Music] Ayla Yes, after Socrates Street, we came to Hippocrates Square. This is the square , as you can see. There is a fountain in the middle of it. It is a historical fountain. It is most likely and it continues to flow, as you can see. By the way, Hippocrates is in this region, that is, the Greek Islands. It is said that he lives in the region. It is even said that he lives on the island of Kos . We came to the fountain in the square and tourists throw money in the fountain in the square. At noon, children come and collect the money from this pool. Let’s see [Music] the windmills. We came to the ancient port. We see three windmills, but in the Middle Ages there were many more windmills than these. They used the windmills to make flour by grinding wheat with wheat . The reason is that they used it in trade by grinding the wheat and turning it into ten. [Music] We came to this entrance of the Rhodes Castle. When we looked at the map, this is the Port. This is the ancient Port. We will enter from here. We entered from here yesterday, right? We entered from here. Now we will enter from here. We had visited the Grand Master and the Archeology Museum. There were two places left, one of them was decorative and the other was a church, we will write the name of that church here, the church was at number 16, the other one is right next to me , this area is right now, let’s explore, then continue . There is a bridge. We will enter the Old Town by crossing that bridge. Today we talked about this Rhodo Şevval. The castle defends itself for a long time. One of the biggest reasons for this is that they use double-layered walls and at the same time they equip it with intermittent moats and traps . When the Ottomans came here, they dug holes from the bottom and exploded them. They call it sewer. With this technique, they can enter the interior by weakening most of the walls. At the same time , they have to surrender after a while because they besieged the entire island outside. In this way, the Ottomans took over here. In fact, as we said about the Rhodes Castle, there are more than one civilization in this castle. We can see all the people who lived on this island in this castle. We already showed you the Ottoman works, the works of the Knights of Rhodes the day before, and also the Italian buildings. Behind me, we see a building from the Ancient Greek period, that is, from the Hellenistic period. It was a temple at that time . Let’s show this place as well. [Music] [Music] Yes, we left the decorative Art museum, photography and video were forbidden, the person inside the museum explained it to us in such detail, one by one, it was really beautiful, mostly works from Turkey, there were works from Çanakkale, there were works from Iznik, there were works from Kütahya Porcelain, there were works from the Ottoman Empire. All of them are decorative and specially processed works. It doesn’t take too long, it takes around 5-1 minutes. It ‘s a small room anyway. In fact, it is not very big, but it also had the shape of a room designed by the Ottomans. It had a fireplace style, and there was plenty of room for both food and warmth. In fact, he says that I was the one who introduced it there. And my family also had such a part, and lastly, we can add that the building construction related to this museum is inherited from the Knights of Rhodes and now we have finished the museum, we will go to another museum, what was written on my ticket, the name of the place is Decorative Art Collection Agay kru, and it was also mentioned as Lady Castle on the map. Just keep in mind, there can be different namings. Also, there are very big signs at the entrance of the museums. There are numberings here, as we showed you, 15, 7, etc. If you see black writings with gold plates on those numberings , these are their numbers. Yes, let’s continue that [Music] time [Music] [Music] oh there is a garden section of the cathedral where Ancient Greek works are exhibited. We wanted to tell you about that part. This is Byzantium. It was built in the time period. After the Ottomans conquered the island , they erected a minaret here and turned it into a mosque . After that, after it was taken over by the Italians, the minaret was dismantled and then continued its function as a cathedral. The Greeks, after they took control of the island, turned it into a museum. There is a history like this. There are many historical traces of this place. We found a newly flowing tap that hosted a religious sect [Music] [Applause] Of course, from the Ottoman [Music] [Laughter] times Yes, we are currently in front of the Pargalı İbrahim Pasha mosque. It is built in memory of Pargalı İbrahim Pasha. This place is not always open. This place is open on certain days and days. The Mosque is opened at certain times. At the moment, we took the shots of the exterior and looked at the interior as much as we could see. It is really beautiful interior designs. It shows that it is actively used. Yes, there is a Mosque behind us and a fountain in front of us. In fact, the fountain was built in the form of a large courtyard , but the taps were removed. Yes, it is also this Another importance of the mosque is that it is located on the road to Mecca, yes, let’s continue [Music] Let’s walk inside the Byzantine buildings. Now, the Mosque we just passed by, it has a dome like a mosque. A church built in the Byzantine period was converted into a mosque by erecting a minaret in the Ottoman period. The entrance is currently closed, and it is behind us. As you can see, these streets were built during the Byzantine period, then the Knights of Rhodes settled here, then the Ottoman Empire, then Italy, then Greece. There is exactly the same cycle. From time to time, we also show you the works of the Hellenistic period. This Rhodes College is home to everyone. You can feel the civilization while walking on the streets here. [Music ] We came from the Oltan area towards the area where the aquarium is located. Rhodes has an aquarium. We want to experience it . It was written that it was open on Sunday. Now it is moving towards the front. I was wondering about this aquarium. They wrote that there are different types of fish in it, not the fish we see in our normal routine . We will go in and look at it with curiosity. Kadir wanted to come here very much. We are doing the things that Kadir wants. You see , A Yağmur is watching fast. Come on, run, run, run, run [Music] run , it’s huge. It eats people. It’s real. How did they get it out of there? The Greek Islands were making a living from sponge diving, especially the small Greeks. They showed the islands various types of sponges [Music] They put a sea turtle that died in 1758 here . They found it in Rhodes in 1970. There is a turtle under it that died in 1775, and here is a turtle that died in 1758. Do you see these things on it? Are they called sea stones ? Exactly, shells stick to this place, corals. Just like that ordinary human -like Ninja closures. So, it can be as big as a person. Would you look at its teeth? Fossils continue here too , probably the fossils of some fish species. That shield looks like a shield. I guess they put them in water like this to prevent it from rotting. Isn’t this a shark? This is a shark that died in 1788. Shark y It’s like you’re swimming with it right now. Yes, do you know how many years ago? It died in 1841. I think it’s true. Oh, what is it like? It was found in 1970. It died in 1841. Can you take a look at its tail, which has wings as big as my arm ? K. Yes, it’s underneath, too. Look, this is a dog. Is the hammerhead shark a hammerhead shark? This one died in 1758. This is a fossil iron from 1810. How did they get these like this? [ Music ] [Applause] The fish was found during the excavation work near the harbor. They shared it here. The skeleton found here is a Pokfish , that is, a skeleton of a Pokfish species. It was from 2000 years ago. This skeleton is interesting. It’s all that’s left of the fossils. But I guess it ‘s 2000 years old and well preserved. It was found in the port , but it should be buried like a human. It’s interesting, isn’t it? Actually, I think they didn’t bury it there, they died there and remained in that soil, maybe they put them in a row. Yes, as you said, during that big earthquake, maybe these seals were lying on the shore. They were making fun [Music] where is this, for example, here? Oh no, it’s not here, there’s something there, it’s got eyes up there, look, it’s a crab [Music] Do you know what this is, shy [Music] crab [Music] Let’s do Self, they came with big fish. Did you see the girl, she did the move, dry Structure, see Mus It went out from there again y look, it’s coming, it’s coming, it’s getting bigger, the fish are hot [Music] Yes, we visited the aquarium, at first there were fossils at the entrance, then they built small aquariums, there are small and large fish in them, you can see them up close. Yes, the aquarium is beautiful, we really liked it. It was also cool. We had a pleasant time here after the weather was humid and hot. The aquariums in Turkey are very big and there are many kinds of fish there. There are even Antalya and Istanbul, so if you want to see a variety of fish, you can go there. This place is a little smaller, the most interesting things at the entrance are There are fossils that are 2000 years old. It has existed for centuries. Turtles, fish, etc., they were all very beautiful. This place attracts a lot of attention from children. Oh, there are quite a lot of them, there is such a wave entering the sea. Despite that, people are swimming on the beach like crazy. We are attracted too. If Ela allows, I would like to go in too, actually. As we said, the beaches of this place are very beautiful [Music] Yes, we have finished our Rhodo trip here. Yes, it was really great , it was really full both in terms of city and culture, we had very good experiences here. So if you come here, definitely go to the Old Town and definitely go to Lindos. Lindos tour You can also watch our park in the second part. Rhodes is historically equipped with many civilizations that are incredibly well-equipped. Many civilizations lived here, as well as the Sea and its beaches. We have come to the end of our video. Yes , do not forget to subscribe to us and like our videos . Thank you very much. 2. Merhabalar. Tatil için Rodos a gideceğiz. Konaklama Eski şehirde araç kiralamayı düşünüyoruz. Eskişehir'e araç sadece orada ikamet edenler içinmiş. Arabayı şehir dışına park etmek mantıklı mı sizce. Biz kalabalık 5 kişi geleceğimiz için toplu taşıma da mantıklı olmaya bilir. Cevabınızı bekliyorum. Teşekkürler 🙏🏽
