In this episode we make it to Serbia! We joined the Danube and crossed the border at Backa Palanka! The plan was to roughly follow the eurovelo 6 cycling route that follows the Danube river into Romania so it would only take us a few days really to cross the country by bicycle touring.
With that in mind we decided to book a couple of nights in a hostel in Novi Sad, then 3 nights airbnb in Belgrade to get some chill time and get to experience a bit more of Serbia.
Serbia was excellent! The language makes things a bit more challenging but the people were really nice and welcoming. We spent a week stuffing ourselves with all the local delicacies and lots and lots of craft beer. Samo Pivo was a total highlight, 100% worth checking out. Also Belgrade is full of pizza slice joints!
