all right so we flew in from Dron airport into stanstead Elite Airport jet 2 needs to just lower the volume in their bloody tanoy that [ __ ] was way too loud couldn’t even hear my own mix anyway we flew into London got home had a quick nap I went to go watch the local track League we woke up in the morning at like 6:00 in the morning we got the train from CL Junction to Leighton we’re going to go pick up a car going to drive from Leighton and we’re going to drive all the way to Scotland which going be 78 hour drive that’s a long ha but hey no rest for the wicked we just picked up the 10 box car as you can see the up hand a spec the Italian would be very proud we’re about to go to josy’s and get some food in our stomach before the 7h hour drive I think but honestly we’re traveling in style these days can’t really complain the Fiat Panda cross I didn’t even know this car existed to be fair I just thought they were all those box shaped kind of uh it’s looking beautiful I’m excited to see how it drive they said you can put the 10 bucks on a small car and they sure ain’t wrong I hate driving manual side of the road other side of the road oh [ __ ] right BOS absolutely lovely scr to power any of our [ __ ] like we can’t keep the car running all night he’s got like one USB socket so that’s a problem that we have to overcome the wagon held up the 10 box is still on the top of the roof and the bike is still in the back at this point this is a success now we just need to navigate what’s this place called again something of Fleet Gate House of Fleet Gate House of Fleet so yeah let’s just time to navigate this man you know I’m seeing a couple of 10 boxes here I made the right move we came here to Camp man and John wants to go into town and work in the pub that’s not true camping man we’re here we have the tent we just need to set it up and then we’ll be living we have three Outlets we’re going to survive we’ll make it to tomorrow man thought you were the will be solved okay we’re going to put the bike together we did have to take both Wheels out honestly I’m surprised how much stuff we fit in this Panda she’s a home she’s a bike storage is a fridge what isn’t she anyways yeah we’re going to put this [ __ ] together so let’s go they’re running the carago g3x this is their gravel bike and we’ve got the air stem for the volt two so for Wheels we’re going to be running the lightweight Pathfinder Wheels they are lightweight gravel Wheels they’re like fully carbon from the spokes to the hubs yeah we’re going to run the 40 mil pelli Cado on the back the hon Tundra 45 on the front lots of people got punches here last year so this is my reason for going this setup the racing gravel bikes they take a beating an absolute beating they just get thrown in and out of bike boxes crashed scratched this is what the tread looks like on the tire I’ll probably run 29 28 PSI in each of the tires we’re going to be running more nutrition we’ll definitely run carb mix and electrolytes all right then there we go okay gear ratio we’re running a 40 xync sham chain set this is sham red we’re running the 1042 cassette on the back this got me round tracker so this is definitely going to get me around here we use a woman spec mimic saddle these gar rally pedals are phenomenal these are the best power based pedals I’ve ever used they’re Mega accurate and they take a beating that is wrap that is the bike checks let’s get it let’s hope this gets me round Recon on it tomorrow make sure everything’s dialed let’s go hello good morning the Sun is up the qualify for gravel World Champ we screwed up last time I had three of the most horrific races for for the last three UCI qualifiers let’s hope we can get this one in the bag early days and I don’t have to make a heinous series like that again bashed out some editing got that done the cams is pretty tame tame way of life here in Scotland yeah taking some getting used to we’re going to go for a ride at around 2 we’re going to Recon the start and then finish but yeah there’s actually quite a few International heads here it’s going to be a stacked field I’m pretty [Music] sure time to sign on like kind of sketchy especially if you’re coming to the finish with like a group you don’t want to be looking at your GPX wondering where the hell you need to go you going to be focusing on Dust in joining the double Recon with John the grind never stops and with that we in the mud once again in a very literal way literally man prediction for tomorrow quick one million punchers I was on the Recon one guy cracked his frame and he got a double puncher it’s going to be rapid I think so it’s going to be a fast day tomorrow really 1,700 M of climbing it’s up and down it’s quick Rolling Hills but I think my setup is is died I’d say losing a bit of money on the slightly wider tires but I think I’m going to make that up when uh inevitably lots of people are punching and I’m not so that’s a radar all the major gravel heads were just marking each other’s attack he didn’t even attack he just rolled off the side and I was like that’s it the big deal to just take it off yeah now I don’t have to worry about this [ __ ] bro you know what’s going to happen now now you’ve qualified you probably going to do it three more times by accident now the pressure is off you know a long day in the box
