I was skeptical about the future shock.
Coming from a tarmac.. multiple issues and discussing with the bike fitter. The roubaix geometry seemed to fit me best.
Stats:
30 YO male, weight 180
5 months of cycling (started in December)
Long history of weight training
The roubaix feels like you are floating. The ride is beyond smooth.. it’s so smooth it feels slow even while pushing 20mph+ on flats
The future shock.. I don’t really even notice it while riding.
Bike is on the heavier side. I’ll likely shed some weight on new carbon wheels and new bars.

I have the 2020 roubaix with adjustable future shock and carbon wheels. Smooth af and even handles light gravel well. I see myself upgrading to a new roubaix in the future, maybe once I break the frame or something. Def go for the Sworks to save weight though
I haven’t riddent the Future Shock, but I have the redshift suspension stem and it’s a delight. 100g penalty over stock but otherwise has zero downside. The longer the ride, the more sense it makes.
I test rode that one. Thinking of getting the 105 Di2 version.
