Not enough stepthroughs around here lately, so here's my latest project.
My girlfriend is a short little lady so I figured I'd make use of an abandoned bike share bike I pulled out of the drainage ditch, spent an afternoon stripping it to bare steel and waxing it thought it looked pretty cool. A far step from the ugly weird town bike it once was.
Built a better wheel set with some old double wall MTB hoops with a nexus 3 speed hub with roller brake, fronts a sketchy karasawa 90mm band brake but I dig the simplicity and look of it. I threw on a nice chilled out 32t chainring with an 18 rear, now it's a great little hill climber and bike path cruiser.
Waiting on a fresh set of rubbers to show up but the vintage grey walls looks pretty cool, otherwise she's wrapped and ready to ride. The ol lady is stoked!

Nice, I love the simplicity of the lines and curves. How’s the pedal strike?
So sweet, are those drum brake hubs?
