The original Hixon jacket was first released in 2016 and was a staple of the Merlin collection for many years. Its always the sign of a good jacket when another version comes out to simply improve it. [Music] welcome back to bikestop this time it’s the turn of the Merlin Hixon 2 jacket who’s it for I’d say custom bikes or Cafe bikers why well it’s got that kind of Classic Heritage style this is a range from the British company of Merlin so it’s UK designed and uh yeah again uh great spec and great value so protection it is double a rated now for abration it’s actually 1.2 mm U that’s naked CDE or just basically Suede and what we also like is and we always recommend that you don’t want a gap between your jacket and your jeans or whatever you’re wearing so this jacket in fact has two belt loops and a short connection zip so it definitely covers that angle with regard to impact it’s level one armor at the elbows and the shoulders and it has a pocket for a back protector with regards to Comfort well being uh it’s a super kind of a super soft leather very comfortable already but it will bed in and there is a thermal gilay so it’s not long sleeved it’s short sleeved but nicely thermal inside and um clearly removable and inside of that there’s a mesh liner and you’ll also notice it has two chest vents so definitely more of a warmer season jacket there’s also cuff uh and waist adjustment now with regards to sizing It Go goes from a UK 38 to a 50 I’m normally a medium I’m a 40 I stand 5′ 10 and this is I think absolutely spoton so a lovely classic Jack uh and in the kind of rare a suede there aren’t that many suede options out there so a few little bonuses there are pockets in both the jacket and the thermal um the collar this the the kind of the Poppa here can be folded back to prevent it flapping in the wind and I have to say I think it looks absolutely great off the bike which is always kind of gives it a double use so remember if you can’t get to us and visit our lovely shop here in Oldtown stevenage it’s 5% cash back which means for every1 you spend online you get5 in your account to spend tomorrow there’s lots more social media all our events more reviews you name it and we’re always bikestop UK till next time thanks [Music] [Music]
