[Music] sitting in the morning sun I’ll be sitting when the evening come watching the ships rolling and then I watch them roll away again yeah I’m sitting on the do of the B watching the tire Ro way oo I’m just sitting on the do of the B this is lem Mona Cove now now there are a few things you should know if you’re planning on coming to Lam more Cove number one is that it’s at the very tail end of Cornwall literally if you if you’re driving and driving and driving and you feel like you’ve gone too far well keep going number two is that the cash machine here only takes coins pound coins and it’s £18 the worst thing that you could probably do is drive all the way down here and then find out that you haven’t got any changed there is a cafe here that might change your money but it’s currently 5:00 in the evening for me so all the chairs are up in the cafe so I’m going to take a guess and say it’s not open I only had £15 in pound coins but luckily I bumped into a very nice man who was paying to park and he lent me a couple of quids so thank you very much kind man whoever you are but don’t get caught out it’s a long way to come to find out that you won’t be able to stay here but £18 without any facilities is it worth it well maybe I’ll let you make up your mind and tell me whether you think it’s worth it or not [Music] I mean essentially you are you are paying for the view aren’t you but I mean would you pay £18 to stay here just to be able to back straight up onto the beach and have this view there are other Park Ops that are a lot cheaper than this one but but this one always has something that just keeps bringing me back and I’d probably say it’s the fact that the water here is normally crystal clear for snorkeling or anything like that it’s absolutely fantastic and the sunrise here in the morning is absolutely beautiful I one of the uh one of the main reasons why I came here it’s not just for the the beautiful sunrise that you can get here but it’s such a lovely sort of beautiful weekend apparently fingers crossed so we don’t have any more rain but I need to get in the sea so I’ve got my snorkel gear but I’ve also brought my paddle board so dependent on conditions tomorrow it means that first thing in the morning when I get up hopefully watch the sunrise I can then head in the water for a little just to sort of re cleanse my soul whether it’s snorkeling or paddle boarding now if you are if you are looking for somewhere to stay that’s going to be nice and sunny for the entire evening as you can see the sun is slowly creeping away from the van there it is 20 to 6 now and yeah by about 6:00 I’d probably say that we’re going to be in complete darkness well not Darkness but just in the shade right I I’m going to sit here with my non-alcoholic beer and enjoy that view now I’m just going to sit at the of a b watching the TI and roll away ooh I’m sitting on a dark be wasting [Music] time I mean personally for me this is what it’s all about places like L Mona Cove where you can literally just park right on the beach like this have a view have a beer listen to the waves and just this is why I love having a camper van I just wish there were like more places like this around that actually allow you to sort of pay for 24 hours and some of you that have been watching this channel for a while might recognize this place I have been here before but it was in the smaller van i’ I was a bit concerned actually about getting down here not knowing whether this van would make it down all the country roads and it was a little bit narrow but I managed to get down here no problems really the only other downside of being here as well Zero Internet and and zero phone signal as well so which is fine because you’re not here for that are you you’re here for the view and the adventure but luckily tonight once the uh the sun goes down I have my TV and I can just I won’t be able to watch anything on the TV but I can play my PlayStation if I need to should probably mention as well the non-alcoholic beer of choice this evening is ainger alcohol of free it is .5% so even though I can stay for 24 hours so there’s pretty much zero chance of me getting moved on I do like to play it safe so non-alcoholic there it is now I did actually notice on my way down here as well there is a pub like further up I’m not sure whether it’s open or anything but I might have to pay that a visit later I don’t really want to be walking up that big hill though so I do have my bike with me so I’ll probably cheat go up there and have a sneaky pint before I uh before I have dinner or something in fact I might do that now cuz it’s 6:00 so let’s head up [Music] there I uh didn’t think this F did [Music] I so yes I am cycling in flip-flops which is probably not the best idea but at least I’ve got my helmet on right [Music] hello it’s a microphone it’s not a toy it’s a microphone it’s not a toy so I’m at the pub and it’s I’m glad I actually came up here because I’ve met Ben Ben Johnson and he’s actually trying to walk what were we doing trying to walk the whole of the UK yeah that’s the aim I’m trying to walk the whole of the UK um so I set off originally from Flint North Wales I’ve done the whole of the Welsh coast and obviously down almost halfway through the Southwest coast now so I’ve done about 1300 miles I think a few extra ones going the wrong way oh well it’s all part the journey so you doing it for anything particular or um yeah well I’m doing it for Charities so I’m doing it for rbl dementia UK and the food banks food banks being cuz I was actually homeless before I set off um and I’m also an X drug addict um so my goal is I want to do as much as I can and get the biggest following I can before actually setting a charity of my own up to give people in need a second chance so so what I’ll do is I’ll link Ben’s um Facebook page below give him a follow if you want to donate it’s going to do a good cause I mean you know if we can get him he’s currently he said about 2,000 followers on Facebook if we can get that up to at least 10,000 that would be good um but yeah I I’ll link it below what’s your I’m going to put some sausages in the air fryer I’ve got buns I’ve got Dijon mustard or whole grain mustard even is what it is and I’m going to cook up some onions so nice and simple for dinner so there’s uh there’s six sausages in here and I’m thinking I’m just going to cook all six of them because why not okay so there’s uh there’s somebody else in a camper van here and it’s a girl on her own right and I’m kind of tempted to say ask if she wants one of my sausages but how do I how do I do that without giving her the wrong idea I’m probably going to leave it it might just freak her out if I go over there and offer a sausage so some random guy coming up to you in a car park in the middle and no where I saying would you like a sausage so yeah I’m going to leave it but what I am thinking is that when my sausages are done I’m going to sit outside and eat because it’s such a pleasant mild evening I think it would be rude not to there we go bam I mean look at that here we are beer I mean what do you call this a sausage roll it’s not a sausage roll is it but it’s a roll with sausages in it onions and mustard and with that view I’m starting to think three sausages in here was too many cuz it’s it’s not that easy to eat oh no I’ve lost the sausage hello darkness my old friend it’s hot though I mean let’s face it how often can you say that you eat a sausage bath where you cooked it yourself in your own van sat on a rocky sort of whatever this is Pebble sort of area looking out to sea that’s not something that happens every day is it right as I feel very cheated because I’ve missed out on sausages I’m just going to eat them straight out of the air fry hot hot but but it’s still [Music] nice so it’s 20 to 10 I think it’s time I went to bed leonov always has the best sunrises so I need to set my alarm so Sunrise according to this is a qu to 6 which means I’m probably going to need to set my alarm for 5:00 so that I’m up in time and I can hopefully catch that another hour I want to go [Music] [Music] good morning I went back to sleep for like 3 hours so so looking at the uh the water out there I wouldn’t say it’s calm enough to go snorkeling it’s probably not even calm enough to go paddle boarding but we are going to go paddle boarding and come all this way have some nice sunny weather to not go in the water so that’s what we’re going to do my camper friend’s gone I know it’s just me [Music] so that’s me pretty much set ready to go I’m put my watch on actually but the one thing is I’m not going to be wearing these expensive ensive Ray bands in the water I mean they probably look the same but these are just vans that cost 20 quid I’m bringing some supplies with me as well it’s literally some water and my phone because as I’m getting older in life I’m decided to be a bit more cautious when I go out to see on my own probably because I’ve got a son and I don’t want to leave him without a dad so got water and my phone with me in case of emergency right let’s [Music] go clearly don’t F this through I need to kind of get through these Boulders here last time I was here it was a lot lower tide so it was all sort of sandy beach out here so there’s a slight Gap there I’m just gonna have to go for it oh that’s not the right timing the f is getting caught [Music] right ready 3 2 1 okay that wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to [Music] [Music] be all right so here we are literally traveled this distance here not very far at all but I’ve decided I’m going to come around this side and sort of stay fairly close to the cliff here uh just in case we get into any bother I mean it is a little bit choppy out here today but but so peaceful oh God it’s breaking apart looks like a I don’t know instruction manual or something that’s obviously a wait for some fishing thing or something cuz it doesn’t seem to be moving from that spot so at least I know it’s weighted down but for me I’ve saved well I mean it’s paper but it’s probably got some plastic in it so we’ve done a little bit of lit picking for this trip so that’s good so this is where the uh fishermen were casting off from yesterday up here and I also believe that it looks like you can park up here as well so if you follow the the main road around and then come to this little parking space here then I believe from I believe from what the sign said yesterday it is pretty much the same price and the same company that runs it where I parked so it used to be that if even if you just drove down this park came around back they used to get a parking ticket cuz of the ampr cameras but I’m not sure whether that’s still the case but so yeah so don’t drive down to this part unless you’re actually planning on putting some money in the machine and that money has to be pound coins no notes no cards I feel kind of feel like I’ve exhausted the paddle boarding but I’m not even wet so I feel like I need to at least get in the water yeah it’s G right in my zip but I really don’t know how I’m going to get off and do this I might have to Dismount the board Bo and then sort of pull it in and these uh Boulders that are here are very slippery right come on up you come [Music] h this is the light now a lot of you are probably wondering what happened to the video that I was going to be posting this week which was my family holiday that happened last weekend and it all started really well as the weekend progressed I just stopped filming things and just started enjoying my time with my family so I do have some footage of the weekend but I kind of got a little bit insecure and thought nobody’s going to want to see this because it’s not related to Camper vans but if you are interested in seeing a Holiday Park in a static caravan where we literally just have a normal sort of family weekend away there then uh then let me know and for those of you that didn’t see last week the reason why we stayed in the Caravan was because I wasn’t 100% sure that I’d get the van back in time from the garage but it’s back it’s running fine I’m over the moon in case you didn’t realize it is officially flipflop and short weather obviously for driving purposes I don’t I don’t wear flip flops when I’m driving I do have my safety Crocs in the van which I put on when I drive the van oh I uh don’t think they’re going to fit me are they there we go much better but yes my son Charlie also has his own pair of safety Crocs for when he drives the car I nearly didn’t come here tonight because I knew that it was going to I had to pay with coins and I didn’t have any coins um and I just thought you know I just go somewhere lot easier Sean but if I had gone somewhere else then I would have missed out on just probably one of the best nights I’ve had whilst out camping and one of the best mornings so and I wouldn’t have met Ben at the pub who’s doing a fantastic thing for charity so everything happens for a reason but if your gut tells you to do something make it happen
