This one was full of happenings – I didn’t realise until just last month that I had caught this vehicle twice on the phone. I was astounded with the caller on the line recognising my voice and then the look of absolute betrayal by fate on the driver’s face. Many trolls posted and tagged in Didn’t Happen of The Year Awards when I first posted about that, and then I produced the video. One x user even bet me that it didn’t happen, and then paid to a road safety charity when I showed the video. I donated too, haha.
This also begs the question of whether this was the same driver or not.

It feels like he's collecting points like it's some kind of Loyalty Card scheme. I wonder what the exciting prize is??? Oh….. Those figures do seem awfully similar. Strongly suspect the case 2 results are case 1 and driver is now taking a different, bigger (but still red) vehicle everywhere……..

I just don't get it, why the obsession with holding the phone while your driving in the first place, especially with screens,DAB radio & the fact you can take calls via the car in most cases or hands free it. When i get in my car, i put the phone in the glove box out of the way & if anyone calls me i either ignore it until i reach my destination or if you're desperate pull over in a safe space, switch the car off & take the call. Majority of the time it's not important anyway, especially these entitled younger generation types on their facetime chatting absolute BS to someone that need to realise they're addicted. I'm 41, i can live without a phone if needs be, i remember not having Internet until 2008, growing up with no phone until the Nokia NK402 with snake on it when i was 15 or 16. People need to be held accountable & realise you don't need the phone while driving. 👌🏻😃

A driving curfew and tagging would be an interesting option for those who get points dispensations. Maybe allow them to make limited journeys identified in the court application…. Say the school run or a fixed commute to work at specified times, with the ability to amend times by providing advance notice or to provide notice of emergency use (subject to documentation)…. All should be at the perpetrator’s expense

So basically – this is a ban – 6 points Feb + 6 points Sep? The fact the caller knew who you were and the fact these catches were so close together makes this even more annoying. Really no excuse
£220 is a standard fine if the financial form MC10 isn’t submitted, although implies no guilty plea (fine 50% of nominal £440 salary, no discount for plea). Surcharge should be 40% of fine s ok here £88. Plus prosecution costs.

As a point to note:- I use magnetic mounts for my personal & job phones. I recently got 2 air vent mounts for use in other vehicles, that you can actually tighten onto the vent. Brilliant, £8 each.

I drive for work. Google maps is very useful. I purchased a windscreen suction phone holder thing. It cost me a whopping £5.
It just goes to show that these drivers persist with mobile phone use and driving!!! Not a care in the world!!! Frustrating!!! 🙄🤯
That little shrug speaks volumes "do what you gotta do". Feels like getting the points and a fine is just an acceptable risk of being allowed unfettered use of a phone regardless of the circumstances. The mobile driving laws have been in place in one form or another for 21 years now. Feels time for a proper shake up.
