T patar has now won four stages of the Jalia in the Mal Rosa which is the first time that has happened since 1973 and that’s when Eddie Ms won five stages in the malosa now tany patar came into this season saying he wants to make his Mark as one of the greatest cyclist of all time Natan he’s he’s making a decent fist of it isn’t he yeah he’s doing what he has to do that’s for sure uh there’s still Olympics coming this year World Championships to the France maybe even wer yeah yeah so doing more than he has to do straight on the tracks yeah I mean let’s get into that Pub discussion Dan because we were hyping him a lot before this jod Italia and I can face I was slightly reticent because while he has been incredible since he brushed onto the scene and he’s still only 25 I hadn’t felt he earned the stripes that justified us talking about him in the same breath as in Eddie Ms for example he’s maybe not quite there just yet but he is showing the promise that he can indeed fulfill that ambition it’s going to be really difficult for him to get to mk’s level because well kilan Kelly my colleague made a graph wins per year of of their age MKS and Cavendish and bat and all these prolific winners and whil pagat sort of matched him but in the first two or three years there’s a point where Merks is PR was it how prolific he was proliferation proliferation was just ridiculous his graph just shoots up with like 30 to 40 wins every year which which even for Patu is going to be unheard of I think for him now but given that it’s the modern era you have to go back that long to find a group of GC Riders of their generation who barely even raced One Day races let alone going for wins in Cobble Classics I mean that hasn’t happened for decades so the mere fact that he’s wanting to be on the start line of these one-day races like stal ban like Flanders winning them and like n pointed out earlier it probably won’t be too long before he decides he wants to roll the dice as it were at paru Bay and given how he rod the Cobo a couple of years ago in the tour to France it’s not going to be easy for him to win of course but you wouldn’t count him out of winning something like that so that is why he can sort of start to stake a claim as being one of the best of all time but it’s going to be very difficult to get past ms’s record

    1. This just goes to show how a stupid question this is plus how stupid those 4 are. How can he be any GOAT when he cannot defeat Jonas in the biggest cycling event??
Also what you people are failing to mention he has absolutely no competition in this Giro.

    2. Look, let’s get this GOAT thingy out of the way once and for all.
There is only one Greatest Of All Times and his name is Eddie Merckx.

    3. "Vingegou" is a great cyclists but Pog is the GOAT. 2 all on TDF. Pog outshines at the rest. And more racing to come. It would be interesting to know how all previous GOAT nominees would perform alongside Pog in the modern era.

    4. To make his mark, if he win tdf! he can go for triple if some other big name won't be there also! If Sepp Kuss can ride all 3, why not!

    5. He is a great cyclist, no doubt in that. But this Giro has many great guys absent, Vingegaard, van Aert, Roglic and van der Poel. Then it would have been interesting to see who would win! Pogacar really doesn’t have anyone strong enough to challenge him.

    6. No relevant rival for.him in this Giro. And he lost two Tdf in a row. His body like my 13 yrs daughter. Bring Mercx into the studio and ask him about this question. Nonsense topic

    7. Sorry,, pogie is doing nothing Jonas would not have done in this Giro,,, who does he have to destroy here,, Thomas is past his prime, O’Connor, Martinez, and arnesman are just helpers in the mountains for there leaders.

    8. The constant GOAT discussions is one of the worst things about modern sport and Internet/social chat – the endless Messi/Ronaldo rubbish brought this to modern sport…
