this is death diving the wild sport that makes it look like you’re gonna belly flop it’s not really a belly flop unless you spread your arms out like this I see you guys tucking in at the last second but in reality the goal isn’t to belly fly and tucking at the last second is what saves you from taking a one-way trip to smack City now today I’m at my local pool to teach my good friend Sarah and Corey the basics of death diving they’re both incredibly talented stunt women and I’m confident they’ll crush it now we started off on ground level just getting used to that tucked feeling then quickly progress to the first diving board and this is when we got some bad news we can’t use that diving board so you gotta go from here all the way up to the top now realizing that they were gonna go straight from a three foot board to a 16-foot platform the pressure was on Sarah was up first and confidently sent a great first jump only to be quickly followed up by Corey all of our practice had obviously paid off because they were smashing these jumps and everyone was having a great time and now you know that

  1. Calling this death diving is like jumping from the second step of your porch and calling it "death leaping"
Growing up we just this swimming in the quarry 🙄

  2. Used to do this as a kid in Italy with other local kids who were phenomenal at this, couldn’t imagine it could become a tiktok thing

  3. I've tried it. From the 5th level of stairs (5th floor equivalent ). It got me booted out of a theme park on the lake. I stopped doing crazy shit like that. I used up at least 7 lives by now.

  4. Goodness me….that journalist is so annoying….I'm glad she's not near or else I go straight to prison and she, probably in hospital 💯💎

  5. This’s what we use to do when we were growing up in the 70’s & 80’s! It’s called the Central Stall! No matter how high you’re, you can break through the water (well I mean not from 200’ feet, don’t be stupid) & not go down more then 4-5 feet (my highest jump was @ the Salt Lake River in 2000 from 80-90’ feet! It also comes with a huge splash that you actually get to see!!!

  6. When I was 14 I did a death dive belly flop 120 feet off a cliff. I was so wiped out that someone came to my rescue with a bookie board. They said that the smack from the water was so loud that everyone in the area heard it a hald miles away and 10 minutes later game wardens showed up looking around for suspicious activity in the water because they were told that their was a loud boom in the water but it was just me with a super red pink stomach and chest. The game warden was a bit of a jerk and said I could have broken all of my ribs or suffered immediate death or injury. Then kicked everyone out of the water. Learned a valuable life lesson never do a belly flop ever again and I suffered with stinging pain for the whole week after hitting the water. I tell people this day that it literally feels like hitting cement by simply falling forward. It hurts.
